Staff were welcoming. Room was spacious, good TV and nice touches in the room. Steak dinner and breakfast were great!
The kitchen extractor fan was outside our window and very noisy. The radiator in the room was faulty so couldn't be turned down, so we had to have the window open so could hear the fan until late and then early when the kitchen opened again.
There was holes in the bed sheets.

The room was very nice and spacious and quite palatious. Very comfortable bed
Food was very good first night, and breakfast was served promptly, and orders were as requested.
Parking was fairly close and easy to access.
Building had lots of historic interest.
Cocktails of my choice were only available on our 1st night. We unfortunately we had a very long wait for dinner the second night, and the food order was not quite right when it eventually arrival, but I have to say we were very promptly given a reduction to our bill.

We loved the old charm of the property.
Some of the stairs and floors were uneven, but what do you expect from such an old building?!

It’s in a fabulous location just across the road from Salisbury Cathedral, and the place itself is so old that everything is eccentrically crooked - from getting up the stairs to your room to inside the room itself. You can’t get plumb lines in an 800-year-old building!!
The room itself was comfy - nice bed, an armchair and footrest, TV and a modern bathroom. It was also great to have breakfast included.
Oh, and every member of staff I met was really lovely.
Given its location on a main road, it’s not surprising that the place is a little noisy. I sleep with earplugs, so it didn’t bother me, but those who have a little more trouble might want to request a room that doesn’t face the street.
The age of the building also means that you can hear other people going to their rooms, chatting in the corridor, creaking back and forth. It’s hardly surprising, but it might put some people off.

The room overlooked Salisbury cathedral. The beds were extremely comfortable and the duvet very cozy. The bathroom was modern with shower and a separate toilet room. There was a good choice for breakfast and everything was cooked beautifully. All the staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. It's important to book for dinner as the restaurant is very popular with locals which says a lot about the quality of the food. The hotel provides a 24 hour parking ticket for the public car park which is just around the corner (it is chargeable). It's a short walk to the cathedral, the main square and shopping facilities.
A movement sensor caused the light just inside the room to come on when you entered. Unfortunately the light also came on in the middle of the night if you went to the loo, which disturbed the sleep of the other occupant.

A fab room in a historic building with super food all round. An impressive restaurant and a great breakfast with top quality ingredients. All the staff were friendly and super helpful.

This is an 800 year old building that should be condemed. I am all for old cool places to stay but ths was rediculus. Floors are soft, stairs are so crooked and beams supporting the floors and ceiling are broken or not even touching the support beams
Thinking the place was going to fall down.

Not a lot. Service was friendly but the food didn't match the staff
Really strange Hotel. No obvious entrance door and no obvious reception. It's an old building and therefore I understand certain issues with the lay-out of the building but no front door and no parking. Note vent an area where one can park to unload luggage unless you park on a double yellow line.

Perfect hotel. The location could not be any better you are literally opposite the cathedral. We parked at the car park suggested and had no issues and only a short walk away. The staff are so pleasant and friendly. The hotel is so beautiful and clean with a really great warm atmosphere. The room was beautiful and much bigger than expected. The bed was HUGE and so comfy! So much storage and we had the best view. Found the walls really thick didn't hear any other guests. The building is so full of history it's fascinating. Breakfast was delicious. Would recommend this hotel to anybody going to Salisbury.

Amazing and charming old building. Very nice staff. Lovely room with comfy bed, nice bathroom. Close to cathedral and centre.
We were disturbed during the night by loud noises of the hotel's machinery coming from the back of the hotel.

Awesome old vibe, great location, staff were very nice
Place is a bit dingy, very difficult to get to room with a stroller and large bags
2.5
Great building and location
Steak was delicious
Not particularly friendly staff, room definitely needed some basic maintenance and love (eg, hanging toilet roll holder and spots from ceiling, no way to plug coffee machine or kettle except if moving them onto the floor elsewhere! And sofa bed, well basically the mattress is not a mattress -stayed in the family room which otherwise is nice! Heating is not appropriate, towel rail heating not on...), food and drinks are overpriced and sadly service, atmosphere or cleaning of table did not help...
Gave feedback when checking out, seems that it was of no interest, told me they knew about the issues in the room and offered a 'dismissive sorry' which felt a way of saying 'bye now'

Huge thank you to all at chapter house, we were made to feel so welcome. We had a wonderful stay, our room was luxurious, from the bed linen to the bath, our evening meal and breakfast was amazing tasting food. All expectations were beyond met. Everything they do, they do it really well. Lovely experience which we will repeat. Thank you.
Nothing, it was superb.

I loved the hotel building. It was so old and had kept much of its original architecture, including an uneven an staircase. It was tastefully decorated with a quirky feel. Tasty food in the restaurant. Lovely staff. Great stay in Salisbury.
Nothing.

Great Location and Breakfast was nice
Lovely historic building in a great location
although this is an old property which we love it doesn't mean the facilities need to be as old, needs a little updating
