Didn’t have breakfast, location excellent.
TV too small. Have never updated in years. No complimentary biscuits and only tap water bottled.

The four poster bed was a bonus
Steep steps up to the room

Excellent location, staff all friendly and helpful, clean and spacious.
The hairdryer in the room kept overheating and cutting out.

Very comfortable and bright room. Very spacious and I have street view. It isn't noisy at all. Breakfast is marvellous. I had dinner here too and the steak is delicious.
No lift but it's understandable. Not too bad because I stayed on the 1st floor this time. (Room 2)

Reception area had a lovely atmosphere warm and very welcoming room was lovely had everything we needed plenty of milk which was a bonus didn’t have to ask for more location was brilliant breakfast was good we stayed for new year and the entertainment was fantastic so were the staff
New Year’s Eve menu was nice but didn’t have the wow factor breakfast was good but staff were very busy and weren’t attentive enough but I will still come again didn’t spoil my weekend stay for new year

Lovely room, we were upgraded to the loft room which is quirky but very nice . 👌
Food was good although a little pricey .

Excellent breakfast in a very charming old building that has been modernised very tastefully

The female staff are delightful and helpful in a way normally associated with the very top London hotels.
The, I guess, manager of the restaurant. See note below - I intended to eat in every night.

Nicely decorated, but the shower water was luke warm at best with the worst grout job I’ve ever seem.
The restaurant staff were a bit difficult, I asked if I could sit at an empty table in the restaurant. I hadn’t booked but they made it seem like it was a problem, so I just went somewhere else.

The breakfast was very good. Our room was very spacious and surprisingly quiet given that it overlooked a busy street and was quite near the restaurant in the hotel. The bed was very comfortable and the ensuite bathroom was also large with a good shower. All staff were friendly and helpful.
The rooms are not airconditioned and unfortunately our stay coincided with some hot weather so this was a bit of a problem. Because our room was overlooking a busy road we had to shut the window at night and it then became rather hot and stuffy. We were provided with a fan but it was not very effective. Of course for most of the year this will probably not be an issue.

Clean, traditional, cosy, vine tomatoes at breakfast
Price was a little steep
Lovely place

Staff are really friendly, room was gorgeous, bed really comfortable.
There are stairs everywhere and had to climb up two flights of them to get to our room. We booked the hotel with friends, unfortunately our friend is on crutches and couldn't get up to our room. The traffic noise on a night is horrendous.

We enjoyed the bar
We had the loft suite and although it was lovely, the access was a little difficult and the room was style over substance, not really a suite and the bath was unusable.

Super positive and helpful staff
The TV in the room could have been bigger

good towels. clean room. well-appointed. central heating available, though I mainly turned it off. staff instantly obliging, smiley, nothing considered any trouble. altogether, an exceptionally uncomplicated stay here.
the food is excellent, but I think the restaurant should try to vary the menu from one night to another. I was here for 3 nights for 2 family funerals, and I wanted a nice dinner with no hassle each night. the dinner was fine, but I would have appreciated a bit more variety in the menu.

The room and location. The staff were friendly and helpful .
Being isolated alone in the upstairs dining area for dinner. Waiting 45 minutes between starter and main meal , having to use a steak knife on our ducks and listening to kitchen staff complaining about lack of staff that evening. I suspect this was a bad night and not a regular occurrence.

the room we had was not practice. there was a bean at the level of my head, which hit my head every time I went to toilet at night. there was also a column at the knee level which hit my knee every time if I wasn’t careful. there was also a nail sticking out from the toilet floor. all in all, I got so many wounds from staying at the hotel for 2 nights. All the staffs can say was That they will report the problems
the room was badly designed and you can get many injuries from staying in the room. it was supposed to be the best rooom in the hotel already.

Such good customer service, every member of staff I spoke to was lovely and very helpful.
The two restaurant areas are made for a romantic evening. The staff were really adaptable and helped me get vegan tapas. I even got work done in the snug area the next day.
The room was super comfortable and I got a great night's sleep. The whole look of the hotel is welcoming.
The only thing I'd improve is putting a vegan option on the breakfast menu.
