We paid a little extra for a sea view, and it was definitely worth it, so relaxing very beautiful view. Breakfast was included and was good.
Menu is fairly priced
Good bedroom facilities and tea, coffee ect
Great location for town beach and arcades
Staff very nice and helpful
Elemis products in the shower was a nice touch.
The headboard was a little bit grubby where heads have been. Otherwise the room was very clean.

old hotel ,but kept in very good condition , house keeping were amazing. the room were well supplied with everything. All the staff were great. sea view was wonderful
a fridge in the room would have been nice, but not really a problem, so nothing really that we didn't like...................................................

Great location, clean, friendly staff
No air con or fans in the room and the rooms were really stuffy, windows only opened to certain extent.
10.0
The experience and the location
The shower gel didn't come out of the automatic dispenser

The staff were really nice, both hotel and bar/restaurant staff. Really helpful and friendly, always offered info about the local area, places to visit and everything.
The room was really nice with an amazing view of the beach and bear garden.
Food was really nice.
Some parts of the hotel could use a little touch up, not the room or the reception area but the hallways need a bit of paint, stairs were very creaky and noisy.
9.0
Great location and great staff. Excellent breakfast.
The number of stairs to access the room as the lift does not reach all floors.

How chilled and peaceful it is.

Great Breakfast, with a great view
My room was over a noisy kitchen, but after complaining this was much better on my second night

Location was lovely, hotel was beautiful the view was outstanding, staff where friendly and food was reasonably priced; the rooms are very clean and provided with hot chocolates and biscuits, extra alcohol and a birthday card was provided a lovely touch, thank you!
Parking, the only downfall to the whole experience a little stress we didn’t need, however we found parking 3 minute walk from the hotel parked by a police station very secure, located in the train station. £12 per night.

View from the bedroom was brilliant, seeing the waves crashing on the beach. Breakfast well very good .
Shower in room 227 was poor just a trickle came out.

View from the room. Very comfortable bed.
Lack of car parking.

The restaurant area and good and food was pleasant.
I was impressed with the breakfast as it came with the room booking.
The view from the restaurant was exceptional.
The hotel was clean and facilities all in working order.
The staff were friendly and i was impressed with the organisation.
The parking facility was well organised just a bit small - which cannot be helped.
Could do with a revamp - was a bit dated and sad decor.

Brilliant location for the sea and town. Room was lovely and bright and the breakfast was plentiful.
The corridors smelt a bit musty and were dark and gloomy. In the evening there seemed to be a tendency for a door to keep slamming.

I was impressed with room 225 which has a great view and would definitely stay again in the same room. However the shower pressure was not great but not a problem to me personally but I can imagine that others may complain.
Great location and great value and well managed.
8.0
the location was perfect, right by the beach and also right in between everything
the only thing I found disturbing is that in the 2 days we where there where 2 fire alarm tests that we weren’t made aware of when checking in, one at about 11am and the other at almost 9am

The hotel location can't be better, high up on the ridge overlooking the Newquay beaches in the main town area.
The sea view from our room was mesmerising and fortunately more than made up for the room's deficiencies. We paid for a non-sea facing room so this was a massive bonus.
Staff were very friendly and helpful although they sort of just rolled their eyes when we mentioned the poor shower.
The easy walking distance to the beach was great as was the pub on the ground floor for easy food with stunning views. We did fall in love with Newquay
Rooms reserved for Booking.com always seem to be the worst rooms, apart from the amazing view mentioned above. The room was tiny, the shower water pressure was non-existent and impossible to use. The shower tap handle kept closing as it is warn and needs replacing.

I didn't even stay, left upon seeing the abysmal state of the hotel and room and have received a full refund.
Everything..dated, dirty, never ending flights of stairs to rooms up and down like a rabbit warren.. very dangerous if there was a fire. Gents toilets in the reception area out of order?!!
