Building is beautiful though a little tatty.
Appeared pretty understaffed: tables in bar heaving with dirty plates and glasses.
Breakfast was tasteless
Breakfast staff very nice
I was in a room just above an event with very loud disco music, it was impossible to do anything in the room, let alone sleep 🥲 No reception staff around to ask about moving, it got louder and louder and I ended up sleeping on a sofa in a blessedly quiet function room, until event wound up at 23:30

Felt it was reasonable value for money and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Some of the surfaces were sticky and worn and the shower in the bedroom was just a trickle really and it was not a comfortable experience when showering!

The staff were great ...... one lady checked us in, served drinks, collected glasses and served food . The place is tired. The room was actually better than the bars down stairs. The food was shocking. My wife had a veggie wrap, and the wrap was unable to be cut with a steak knife. Come on Greene King. Your staff who worked so hard and us customers deserve better. Needs significant money spending on the place. Great location in the heart of Port Sunlight ...could be really good

The bed was very comfortable
The shower cold tap was faulty so it was not possible to have a shower in the morning

amazing location, very clean and comfortable rooms
great food and drink. 10/10 for service
just a minor one, the room didn’t have sockets next to the bed to charge the phone had to use the sockets on the dressing table

This was a very good stay in a historically interesting location. Very good value. Well situated for visiting Port Sunlight.

Very nice venue. Easy access just in the outskirt of Liverpool very good price for the room size staff were brilliant always on hand if you needed them. If I'm ever up that area again wouldn't hesitate to book the place up
If I had to say anything the traditional brekkie was a bit over priced for what you got

Helpful and friendly staff excellent location.
The place could do with some tlc worn stair carpets and furnishings

It's our regular pub anyway the whole atmosphere and location . When in the room it was quite as the hotel is away from the busy road.
Room was little warm and we couldn't turn down the heating or open the window
3.6
The location was fantastic and the building itself looked lovely.
The place was so run down and worn out. Plug sockets and lamps didn’t work, mild and hairs in the bathroom. Just really disappointing.

it’s a great location and an amazing building
nothing really, it’s ideal for what we need

Jack and his staff work tremendously hard. As with most hospitality venues getting staff is difficult.
That being said the staff went over and above expectation by providing excellent service.
This included giving a 6th night stay for free as a Wedding Anniversary gift. Amazing and really appreciated.
The Bridge Inn is over a hundred years old and therefore has decor issues that need addressing- Green King have recently taken over the hotel and have plans to do so. A minor issue
Hopefully it will include water pressure issues which meant that our shower had very little power, although it was warm!

Great location
Entire property needs an upgrade.

The breakfast was advertised as available from 8.00 am, however the staff did not arrive till 8.00 then needed 30 minutes to get ready to serve. If I had known that I would not have booked breakfast.
The night porter and Shannon went out of their way to ensure that we had something for breakfast even if it was not the full deal.

It was fantastic to find a dog friendly hotel with so many excellent features.
Nothing springs to mind.

The hotel needs an update

The staff were really friendly and helpful. Particular mention of Claire on FOH who was a delight.
Very pleased that the en-suite shower had a walk mounted dispenser rather than little bottles!
The room was "tired" and could so easily be made fresher. Non-descript pictures could be themed to, for example, Sunlight soap adverts. A bin by the tea making table is surely a necessity!

The staff were very friendly and gave a warm welcome.
The hotel is very old and whilst this is understood, it is extremely tired and in dire need of updating. The stair carpet is bald, there are stains on the landing carpet. The room we had was small, very old fashioned and in need of a paint as the walls were quite faded. The bathroom was clean but was very basic - the shower wasn’t very good and was boiling hot. The room had all mould and paint peeling off on the windows.
It’s a real shame that Greene King can’t invest in a place like this as it is steeped in history. It isn’t pleasant at all to stay here and sadly we won’t be back.

manager was excellent he served breakfast
young lad behind the bar was a pleasure and credit to the hotel nearly as good as the manager
room was ok but not enough toilet roll shampoo etc nearly empty
dinner waiters waitresses were polite but it took a lot to get their attention to take order

Location good breakfast very good

Port Sunlight is lovely, but you don't need to stay in the village.
Poor service. No one at reception. Didn't return my call.
Very very noisy THROUGHOUT the night! Again no one at reception to call.
