Location very good. Easy for parking
Very uncomfortable bed, shower very temperamental breakfast was awful

Room was very spacious and well appointed. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast variety again good and food freshly cooked. Bar meal in the evening was excellent and good value. Friendly attentive staff. Parking arrangements for guests was again good.
Felt that the room lighting was a little bit on the dim side for me especially for reading.

It was close to the location of a celebration that we were attending and close to the shopping village
There was a huge cobweb in the toilet which was clearly months old. It was way too hot in the room. There was inadequate lighting, the room was very dark, this made it extremely difficult to be able to do my makeup and hair. Limited number of electrical sockets for hairdryer, straighteners, phone chargers etc. The pillows were very hard.

We couldn't get taxi services to take us to our party venue.

It was a nice hotel, breakfast was good, rooms were good. Will definitely stay again if rooms are available. They get booked up quickly.
There was no decaf coffee or tea in elrooms.

So - firstly we had a terrible room it was filthy! However , when I had mentioned to the staff they couldn’t have done more to accommodate us to another room and were very helpful! Couldn’t have asked for better staff. Thank you!
The hotel was full ( tried to get an extra room for partner and eldest but was sold out ) the hotel was very run down for the cost of rooms and the size of the hotel. Seems the owner of the hotel must be very greedy in not spending money on the up-keep of a very run down hotel. I had been here before for a function before but not in the hotel! This really does need looking at it especially when it doesn’t reflect on the price! The breakfast was also very disappointing again for the price this hotel
Was I would have expected a lot more then a ‘mini’ breakfast!

Bad reception - we went for a good meal but the resto was closed for the night - suggested alternative was 1 mile walk away. REceptionst was a bit surley and unhelpful
The resto could have warned us that it was closed

The room was clean and comfortable. I received a warm welcome by the person on reception. I booked this hotel because it was £33 a night cheaper than my normal hotel in Street. Good value for money.
The bathroom was very hot because the heated towel rail was on full and could not be adjusted.

Covered car parking, friendly staff
Room was too hot and pillows were very firm

Location was brilliant, great for access to Glastonbury which we wanted and close to pubs and restaurants.
Restaurant wasn't open until Friday which wasn't a problem but it would have been nice to know this in advance.
Breakfast was just ok. Cooked breakfast was well cooked and fresh but lack of buffet food, no fresh fruit, had to ask for grapefruit and a croissant.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, our rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast was very nice, we all had a full breakfasts with different eggs and everyone was very happy. One friend took her dog who was also well catered for, special sausages!

The beds are not comfortable at all

The Wessex Hotel is a short drive from Glastonbury and provided a comfortable and relaxed stay for a night. The rooms are clean and spacious and the staff were really lovely and friendly. It has a great relaxed feel to it.
It is a little dated and the tv wasn’t the best, plus no hairdryer in the room.

The best thing about the property was the stuff she was so helpful and knowledgeable about local area.
The property did not cater for our dogs. I felt like we were supposed out and put to the side. The breakfast was absolutely disgusting. Called means we didn’t get the offer of any alternative continental breakfast, i.e. croissant muffins they had very little cereal offer. They only had apple or orange juice for tea was disgusting and so was the coffee. The rooms was not up to a furnished standard e.g. the bathroom had missing panels which our dog tried to get under the bath we had to put the bin there and our court to block off the open end of the bath the shower curtain like it’s never been washed since been put up the sink was chipped. had to ask someone how to open the front door to let the dogs out in the morning for a walk. On arrival the restaurants were short and didn’t get offered any alternative e.g. a sandwich. I would not close. This hotel has a three star. The rooms we stayed in was 220 and 218..

Staff were really welcoming and couldn't have been more helpful, the heated bathroom floor and towel rail were great.
My key card didn't work because the battery had run out on the door, so I had to come back downstairs to get a normal key. The website advertises the Olive Tree restaurant describing it as good local food. The menu is more bar food and the night I was there, because there was a coach trip in there was even less choice and no dessert options except the chocolate vending machine. Given I'd requested to book a table for dinner when I booked, it would have been helpful to let me know about that.
I also had loose cables hanging down outside my window and because it was windy, they banged against my window all night.

look to be honest I was the only person staying there, which in itself is an experience I have never had, but it suited me great as I went into town for food

Even though the hotel looked quite full, we still have a good night sleep, we had to move rooms because there was a problem with the TV, Staff member was very helpful so no problem at all. lovely breakfast, really enjoyed the one night stay.
no problems

Leaving. Couldn't wait to get out if this 'hotel'. I could not bring myself to stay there.
Shabby carpets on stairs. Room was unclean and smelly. Old and damaged furniture. Old and broken bathroom suite/ bathroom. No fridge in or near room. Pubic hair in bath. Shabby old towels. No AC
