We went "wow" when we checked in. Our room was perfect for our three nights. We walked everywhere, it was close to Constitution Dock and Salamanca Markets, also the main shopping area.
5.0
The breakfast room was conveniently located
The cost was a bit over the top for the pancake, yoghurt and one coffee I had. My husband ate a little less and 52.00 was alot of money. We stayed 3 days and ate elsewhere after that first morning.
3.0
Location, and super friendly staff.
Hotel very dated, bedroom was small, dark, cluttered with unnecessarily furniture and tiny wardrobes.

Bed was great! Hotel entry looks good. Cooked breaky was great.
Parking, room looked tired and worn, breakfast area was understaffed. Not good value for money compared to other hotels in the area.

Lo stile “Vittoriano” di altri tempi
Nulla, tutto perfetto

Loved the old world charm of the hotel. The staff could not do enough for us .Location was great. All up I would give it a 5 star rating.
Maybe a bit more cupboard space for storing large suit cases .
4.5
Very central. Quiet despite central location. Convenient.
No meals/food available in evenings(only Wed-Sat)
4.5
Sense of history and appropriate decor.
Excellent, helpful and friendly staff.
Great location for walking to many attractions. Good arrangements for parking.
Dim room lighting made reading difficult at night.

A beautiful historic hotel in Hobart well positioned withing walking distance of shops and harbour restaurants. The rooms are very comfortable and bathrooms modern and clean. The staff are some of the best I have ever met, super friendly, helpful and knowledgeble from Reception to barman and house keeping. I can't recommend this Hotel enough and would not hesitate staying here again.
Having to leave.

Great history

Good location, short walk to nice restaurants, cafes and the piers.
The hotel is a very old building but well maintained.
Staff were excellent, always smiling and very helpful.
Nothing that I didn’t like

I loved the staff. They were so friendly and chatty. I felt really welcome checking in and even when I left a 4am on the Monday morning the guy on the front desk just had a beautiful big smile.

My wife and I love staying at Hadley's, the accommodation, food, location and more particularly the staff are exceptional. It is an experience not to be missed.
Leaving to come home.

It’s got lots of character , rooms were huge and the building was beautiful.
It can smell sometimes but it’s built above an old convict constructed sewer. As explained by the receptionist, so it can’t be helped. Could be freshened up a little.
4.5
Staff were exception - especially Kitty at front Reception. Room and Bed were very comfortable. Loved the historic charm, was undergoing some refurbishment at the time of our stay June 2024, but it did not impact us or our stay. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff were exceptionally friendly on reception in very interaction we had. friendly, professional, knowledgeable.
The instructions to get to the car park were excellent - and the fact it was only $5 a day was incredible
Beds were comfy and rooms nice and warm
Great location for getting down to the waterfront.
there wasnt any complaints from us but I did laugh that my window view was a brick wall but it was more funny than a complaint.

the room and the hotel is decorated beautifully. The music and the bar area were exceptional. The staff very friendly.
the restaurant food was not up to standard for the area. This includes the breakfast buffet and the evening meal. The room was absolutely beautiful and it was a shame that the food did not reflect the expectation. The noise from neighboring night clubs at 2am.

The historical significance and features of the building
Lack of exhaust fan in the bathroom

Very friendly reception staff and nice boutique hotel with rich heritage in Hobart.

Large suite
The noise outside! Shocking.
4.5
Huge room in a heritage property. We loved the location which was walking distance to all major attractions.
3.5
Hotel position was excellent.
Hotel was a bit dated. Access to room involved several up and down stairs making it difficult carrying luggage. Room lighting was inadequate with no overhead lighting. Additionally, the bathroom involved a step up from the bedroom which was a potential hazard at nightime. Car parking was not on site and involved a walk of 5 minutes or so which, if it was raining, would be a nuisance.
4.5
Didn’t have breakfast
Bed was very soft/sagging in the middle. Would’ve preferred doona instead of blanket. Other than that it was superb!
3.5
Location, decor, Old world charm, toiletries
Small room, one chair, bathroom dated.

Beautiful house, nice decor
You can't open the balcony doors. They are screwed shut. We unscrewed the doors to let some air into the room and screwed them shut again before we left. Weird.

Large room. Great beds. Very handy central location. Old-world vibe. Helpful staff. Off-site parking available.
Bit of a rabbit warren upstairs due to many renovations over the years - not really an issue though.

Hadley's was a beautiful experience from the minute I walked in , surroundings , staff , restaurant, and cleanliness. The rooms were generous and very comfortable. A wonderful experience , I'll be doing it again as soon as I can.
Thank you to all who made it wonderful 😊

Fantastic decor, well restored. Great, friendly staff.
A couple of plates, knives, forks and a bottle opener would have been a good idea. And the lift takes an hour to go up and down.

We fell in love with hotel. Beautifully decorated.
Bed was extremely comfortable and the luxury toiletries were lovely.
Bar, restaurant (dinner) and buffet breakfast were all top class and we felt spoilt from the minute we walked in. Pianist in the bar on saturday evening was a real treat.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Parking was free and close by. Easily accessed. We didn't want to leave and will certainly be back.
We dined in the restaurant on our first night and one staff member was too friendly and (we feel) crossed the boundary of professionalism. He kept interfering in our anniversary dinner and did not seem to recognise our discomfort. He told us details about his life and hobbies. He also told me that I made the incorrect decision re my choice of dessert and proceeded to tell me I should have gone with his favourite. He also told us that he was going to be in trouble as "Anthony" (the other staff member on duty, whom we found wonderful) was annoyed with him for talking too much, but unfortunately even that recognition did not curb his behaviour. His conduct was such that we did not dine in the restaurant again during our 3 night stay, as we didnt want to risk a repeat - really unfortunate as the menu had lots of wonderful things to choose from and we had really enjoyed the food.

Location was amazing. Great breakfast also
Bit older style and priced very high

No parking at the hotel
Parking was 5mins walk in another shopping ctr and was hassle everytime to get the car
Last 2days no shampoo and body wash was reimbursed in the bathroom.
Gym was 10mins walk to another sisterconcern hotel.
No swimminh pool.
Not suitable for a family.

The bed was comfy. And the help at reception, especially from Kelly, when there was a misunderstanding about the booking arrangements, was exceptional.
Despite booking for a 'superior room' it was small with little in the way of storage space.

Excellent location, about a 5 min walk from the waterfront. Perfect if you are planning to go to the markets and mona! Lovely decor, really tastefully done (Victorian era) and the breakfast had a huge honey comb piece for fresh honey!!!
The shower pressure wasn't fantastic, and the window in the bedroom didn't have a blackout curtain so for anyone who likes to sleep in, it wasn't possible. The church next door also rang bells during Sunday service for what seemed like an eternity lol

Hadley's Orient Hotel is a beautiful place to stay. Stepping back in time to a by-gone era of luxury. Glorious dining in the Atrium with an occasional pianist to add to the dining pleasure. Staff were very helpful. Open fires and leather lounges around the bar. A short walk from Salamanca Market and the harbour. A truly lovely experience.
Unfortunately, there was scaffolding covering the front facade of the building when we arrived, obstructing the view of the adjacent cathedral. This was removed from our window before we left.
