Location. Close to shops. Good size room and bathroom. Great bed. Breakfast is available.
Meals available at the hotel were limited and it all seemed to be managed (and cooked?) by the reception staff.
4.0
Location
Bed was missing sheet. Buffet was minimal selection. Potatoes for breakfast?

Good location
Another circumstance in life where businesses are converting to a "Self Serve" facility! Self check in and Self check out. Great! This hotel is obviously hell bent on cutting cost with no milk in the room nor did it have a TV remote ( had to ask for that). If you want a basic service, this is your place.

The location was ideal. We could walk to Shopping Centre. Room was very nice.
Nothing.

It was close to the Children's hospital
The air conditioning did not work at all, in the middle of summer. There were also no fans or airflow. I was up all night trying to get comfortable, I read reviews at 1am and noticed this is an ongoing problem, and they know they aircon doesn't work. Very disappointed. I had to travel 5 hours home after our appointment on next to no sleep. They also only provided 1 coffee cup, we took turns in using it.
Hallways also had weird musty smell.

The shower was good. The room was not too small.
The air conditioner was inadequate for the environment (Brisbane on a hot day).
The temp setting in the room indicated that it was set to 17 degrees C. This was clearly not correct (I think the little panel is put there to allow the guest to think they have some control over the air conditioner when they actually have absolutely no control), the actual temperature was at least 25 degrees C.
On top of this, the bed was made up with a sheet, duvet and sheet. For this type of bedding to be practical, the room would actually have to be at 17 degrees C. (or less).
We had to remake the bed with a single sheet and then endure a night of lost sleep in a stuffy, hot room.
This "Mecure" Hotel was, until recently, a more down-market Travelodge Hotel. It has changed in name only and $199.00 per night is not good value for money. If the night is hot (which is quite common in Brisbane) sleep in your car in the carpark after the sun has gone down.

Rooms were dated , aircon was really bad , we switched rooms and still the same problem , would not recommend staying here at all
3.5
The staff and location were brilliant. The room was great.
The air con didn't work and in this heat that was a crucial necessity. I told the staff on the very first day but the hotel electrician was never notified so it never got fixed in the 4 days I was there

The Location was great, convenient and easy to find. The staff were professional and only to happy to help when we raised an issue and the beds were amazing. Super comfortable bed, pillows and blanket. Easy to use WIFI, Room Service and Buffet Breakfast available.
The smell of the tap water in the kitchenette was terrible and the first room we were given smelt so strongly of smoke, like a stale ash tray. But the staff quickly and without hesitation changed our room.
3.5
The location is great for getting around Brisbane and trying food or shopping at Garden city. The room is a good size and the bathroom and bed are comfortable.
Unfortunately for my room, I found that the Air conditioner was not doing a great job of cooling the room or creating air flow. The fridge was also lacking and not working well. This was during the Xmas / summertime of year and maybe these items work better when the weather is not at its hottest.

There was a man at checkout who was lovely and helpful. Location is great, short walk to Garden City. Quite liked the pillows and the bedding felt & looked clean.
We used to stay here because it was modern & clean. Now it’s looking very tired, dirty & dusty. It smells stuffy and in places like a hospital. The thing that was the worst was a foul smell coming from the drain in the shower. So bad. It did settle a bit after running the shower, but something is going on that needs attention. We didn’t tell reception because I assumed we’d get one of these survey & would share the info here. Hopefully someone able to action these problems is notified.

Good location for use of Nissan Arena
The carpets REALLY need a good clean, they were very dusty which lead to allergies for us 🙁

Also staff were very friendly and efficient.
Nothing everything was great.

location is good and the staff is fine. I have been in this hotel when owned by Travel Lodge and first time after it is under Mercure.
The room finish is old with quite some wearing. not very clean, though not too bad. The bed is very soft and hurt the lower back. Bed is too narrow and not comfortable. The air conditioner can not generate any heat and the room is freezing.

Room was clean and well set out .Shower was really good .Bed was very comfy.
No extras, biscuits, soap bars, water in fridge etc.
No brochures handy numbers etc.
Wifi was hard to access and staff were not sure of the code.I got it working in the lobby but it was on and off in the room.
None of this would stop me staying there again just a few extras to make it great.

Beds were comfy. Shower was excellent.
No extra blankets, no drinking water, bathroom was a bit dirty. Was very expensive for what it was.

Front desk staff was very good, helpful as I needed to print something, polite, and smiling.
King room was big, quiet and bed comfortable. I used the microwave.
Look is a bit old but everything was functional for my needs.
Shower pressure was good.
Very old revert A/C unit. Room was cold and couldn't get the heating to work. I was only there for two nights so I put up with it.
