A good place to rest after some big days for us with ill family.
Location. Close to shops. Good size room and bathroom. Great bed. Breakfast is available.
Meals available at the hotel were limited and it all seemed to be managed (and cooked?) by the reception staff.

It was good but a few small changes would make it great
Location
Bed was missing sheet. Buffet was minimal selection. Potatoes for breakfast?

Good location, but keep your expectations low and you'll be fine.
Good location
Another circumstance in life where businesses are converting to a "Self Serve" facility! Self check in and Self check out. Great! This hotel is obviously hell bent on cutting cost with no milk in the room nor did it have a TV remote ( had to ask for that). If you want a basic service, this is your place.

Should have read reviews before I booked!
It was close to the Children's hospital
The air conditioning did not work at all, in the middle of summer. There were also no fans or airflow. I was up all night trying to get comfortable, I read reviews at 1am and noticed this is an ongoing problem, and they know they aircon doesn't work. Very disappointed. I had to travel 5 hours home after our appointment on next to no sleep. They also only provided 1 coffee cup, we took turns in using it. Hallways also had weird musty smell.

The experience was a frustrating, unpleasant and a waste of money.
The shower was good. The room was not too small.
The air conditioner was inadequate for the environment (Brisbane on a hot day). The temp setting in the room indicated that it was set to 17 degrees C. This was clearly not correct (I think the little panel is put there to allow the guest to think they have some control over the air conditioner when they actually have absolutely no control), the actual temperature was at least 25 degrees C. On top of this, the bed was made up with a sheet, duvet and sheet. For this type of bedding to be practical, the room would actually have to be at 17 degrees C. (or less). We had to remake the bed with a single sheet and then endure a night of lost sleep in a stuffy, hot room. This "Mecure" Hotel was, until recently, a more down-market Travelodge Hotel. It has changed in name only and $199.00 per night is not good value for money. If the night is hot (which is quite common in Brisbane) sleep in your car in the carpark after the sun has gone down.
