location
needs renovation, security guards on-site (3) of them which must indicate trouble in the area as they were positioned outside of the building

Crown on Cintra Lane is a hidden gem. Tucked away just off Symonds Street, Crown on Cintra Lane offers a pleasant surprise at every turn. My room on the 17th floor with its floor-to-ceiling glass window provides a glimpse of the bustling Auckland CBD, the beds are very comfortable and the bathroom is chic and equipped with a washing machine with a built-in dryer. It is only 5 minutes walk to the CBD and buses on nearby Symonds Street come every 10 minutes to take guests to many places of interest, including the Newmarket Precinct.
Staff are friendly and promptly respond to the needs of guests.
Perhaps provision could be made for an outdoor area where staff and guests could smoke without being seen by others to present an overall professional look.

Easy walking distance to the hospital and buses. Bathroom and kitchen were updated, modern, well appointed and clean. Very warm and I had an awesome night view.
There are permeant residents that live here. Perhaps even social housing??? Windows, curtains and balcony need cleaning. Bed was to hard for me but that is a very personal thing.

The room is old, the pieces of furniture a bit worse for wear.

Greeted warmly by Reception staff on arrival, & felt welcomed. Provided with a convenient carpark straight away.
It was a little tricky at first to find the Apartment building as we missed the lane and went passed it, however, we found it in the end.

The room smelt like stale cigarette smoke
7.0 / 10.0
The room was spacious and what we needed for our event. Location was good, on the upper end of the CBD and only a short walk away. The facilities was great with the typical hot beverage provided. Staff we talked to are very friendly and helpful, they were very understanding with parking situation.
There was a smell in the bathroom, possibly from the pipes as suds came up through the hole during our showers. Visible yellow stained sheets on one of the beds. Shower pressure was very low but can understand there are always shortages in Auckland.

Spacious with good facilities.
Photos were nice, but when we arrived we were disappointed.

The staff at this accommodation were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble and their problem solving skills and attentiveness out rank those of staff at many 5 star hotels we have stayed at. We were very happy to have secure parking that offered a decent size park that wasn’t jammed in. We were driving a big vehicle and to have room to maneuver in was much appreciated. We appreciated the cooking facilities and the washing machine and dryer. The bed was of good quality and very comfortable.
This apartment did not meet expectations. The advertising and photos exceeded the actual quality of the facility. The apartment was tired, worn, not well cleaned and was in a block used for overseas students accom attending nearby Auckland University. The cooking facilities were old and not in good condition, there was food debris and hair in the cutlery drawer, skirting which has deteriorated through water leakage. There was mold in the shower, the washing machine and dryer were old and looked it, the door handle for access was loose and didn’t feel secure. The advertising implies the apartments are nestled in Auckland Harbour - they are not! It’s an exhausting walk to the Harbour and an even more exhausting one coming back uphill. The harbour was not close as indicated. We took untold photos but aren’t able to load them for some unknown reason. This accommodation was rated 4 1/2 star, it is definitely no-where near the standard of accommodation required for such a rating.

The ranch slider and little balcony, cheap close parking, service at reception
The bed being 2 singles pushed together, no coffee plunger

Staff were excellent - friendly and helpful. The double bedroom was an ideal size. The location is great. My sister and I thought the place was excellent value for money.
A couple of cupboards and fixtures were damaged. There was no ironing board.
