Good quality ingredients and very nicely cooked. Lovely sausages and black pudding.
Unfortunately the setup for breakfast was badly organised, young staff not very well supervised, not their fault. no eggs. I had the last one, my partner had to wait nearly 25 minutes, before they came out with hers. And like so many other guests left waiting.

Great hotel in a fab location. Perfect place in the heart of everything. The doorman was lovely 😊
Nothing to complain about.

Superb location between the castle and cathedral, a two minute walk from each.
Long delay at breakfast one of the two mornings.

Lovely property - room was clean, comfy and spacious. Staff were friendly and accommodating, food at breakfast was great too.

Central location, good breakfast, recent renovations meant my room had an excellent shower.
Friendly & polite helpful staff.
Minor renovations were still ongoing, but hopefully completed soon.

Great location, nice bar area, very friendly staff, breakfast very good

Location , food , staff . Location easy parking 2 minutes walk , 2 mins from cathedral and same again for castle . If you're into shopping only 10 mins walk to town centre high street and a nice walk around the waterfront . But a hike back up "steep hill" not for feint hearted but really not too bad ..... Food plenty of bars and restaurants around the hotel but we stayed in the antlers restaurant which is part of the hotel which also offers bar food . Drinks are well stocked however surprised at lack of "whisky" .... Breakfast plenty to choose from however our last day wife ordered fruit and french toast with maple syrup but the syrup did not materialise but the breakfast is a good choice .staff ....very good but chap who booked us in was a bit like end of shift and was polite but just "pointed" the way to the room however guy who was on door with bowler hat and tweed jacket on was top notch really helpful "showing us rather than pointing"... One other thing 10% service charge is standard on bill , don't do what I did and tip more !! ..... Definitely worth a stay though .....
Standard service charge !! Not into that it should be more prominent on the menu and pointed out when you are ordering your food , we weren't .......

Restaurant was excellent and staff were helpful and friendly.
A Lift would have been nice, we had two levels of stairs to climb.

I've stayed here previously but 1st time since take over & improvements. We had 2 adults & a dog. Had a warm welcome, staff were friendly & accommodating, lovely improvements. At the top of steep hill/bailgate. Great location for castle & Cathedral, shops, pubs/eateries. Ideal for us visiting family.
Room was hot & no fans etc but was an exceptionally hot day.

The location is fantastic. Right in the centre of historic Lincoln. The staff are very attentive and ready to help, the service is excellent.
The carpark was closed for some renovation work, so I had to find a carpark nearby.

The old ambience feel of the hotel it was old but in a modern way.Very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, I liked the table service for the main meals.
Never been to Lincoln, I was concerned about no parking due to renovations however my fears were soon put to rest.
4.1
Fantastic location, room was quite small but beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was good with limited cold self service section and good hot cooked to order selection.
WiFi in rooms could have been better.

Breakfast was delicious and the service was brilliant
the light was a little tempremental in our room

Breakfast was very good.
Room was freezing. No heat. They turned the radiators on but they went off in the middle of the night.
No room service on Sunday night, we were on a working trip so starving. They finally fixed us a pizza which was bread & sauce only & it was awful.
When I mentioned it checking out the next day they didn’t seem to care.
No lift.

The hotel has been newly renovated. All rooms were immaculate. Bathrooms had walk in shower cubicles. Rooms had lovely extras included with the stay, such as locally sourced gingerbread and gin (with tonic). All staff were friendly and cheerful, from check in, to breakfast, to the housekeeping staff.
Still one or two bits of work to complete, so it will be lovely to return when everything ids finished.

location is amazing
perhaps a bit dated

Top of hill and the ols rotating door aaaagh! Could imagine a Dahl's Tales of Unexpected to be set here!!!!
Bit outfdated but a do-er upper!

Hard to judge as hotel abpout to close. The lobby lacked comfort - lighting too harsh & in dining room.

Breakfast was lovely
The restraunt was to warm and made eating uncomfortable

The location is amazing, right in the heart of the old city center. The room was nice, and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was excellent.
The hotel is a labyrinth of small corridors with lots of doors, which are not well signed. Even after a couple of days it was easy to get turned around in the hallways. As with all the places we have stayed on this trip, the bathroom and/or shower was rather small.
4.1
Excellent location, good breakfast, friendly staff
The bathroom was really cold, only heat was from a fan on the wall. Mattress was really uncomfortable. The hotel was closing for refurbishment so hopefully these issues will be rectified
4.1
friendly staff, apologised for imminent shutdown
refund for public carpark
empty bar, next to no drink choice
car park shut
everything felt tired
4.1
location very clean and good breakfast
wasn’t told that due to property being old hot water needed to be ran for over 5mins for it to come though warm
4.1
Staff very pleasant and helpful. Location excellent.
Just about the most cheerless and dreary hotel room I've ever been in. Dark brown doors, dark furniture, brown carpets. No curtains or cushions to liven it up.
Bedside lamps missing. Lounge area had no coffee table so nowhere to eat room service if we'd ordered any. Just very depressing.
4.1
ideal location. could not have been better. staff were all helpful, pleasant if at times in need of some training .
Food on one evening in the bar was good
BUT it has been bought by a developer and is closing for three months. All the above will change
not much

The location was perfect for our requirements. The weather was very cold but the hotel was comfortably warm.
Had to wait a long time for breakfast to be served and some items ran out very quickly
Some of the staff at breakfast were less than friendly.
