location was perfect as we had tickets for the Palace Theatre and intended to see the sights
staff were very attentive and helpful
This break was to celebrate my wife's birthday and the hotel played its part in her enjoyment.
A nice touch from the staff to surprise us with a slice of cake
we requested and got a different room. From inside the first room the kitchen fans were extremely noisy and, for light sleepers like me, would have been impossible to get much sleep. We were moved to another room well away from the noise of the fans.

The location is perfect, easy to walk everywhere. Staff is wonderful, super helpful.
Breakfast is very expensive to have daily. Would be nice if there was a less expensive option

Location is second to none!
One star for the great location and the front desk staffs was able to upgraded us from room 140 to 425. The front desk staff name Joe and Ellie was worth of mentioning!
Above is only the good thing about this so call 5 stars hotel!
We totally understand this hotel is over 100 years old and that is what we want to experience a little bit of the Royal British experience! The small room, small elevator is understandable!
But not replacing the facial towels (happened once in both rooms) and not cleaning the soap dishes throughout our 6 nights of stay is not excusable!
So I’m questioning their housekeeping SOP and training systems, because this isn’t an isolated incident to a single housekeeping employee, it is a system wide issue! I don’t believe the 5 stars hotel’s housekeeping SOP not including the daily soap dish cleaning and replacing a new soap as needed!
A bit of disappointment, is the best way to describe the experience we had with this hotel!

The service and staff were extremely courteous and helpful. The location of the hotel was excellent.. very central. The bar and restaurant were good and the breakfast was super!
The room was very small and there were no drawers to put clothes. There wasn't much room to spare. I could hardly walk around the bed. The lift was also small and could barely fit four people.

The public areas are lovely if not a little heavy on the decor. The staff are really wonderful which is so important
It’s to dated and heavily decorated . The bedroom was heavy in its decor, and the walls and carpets clashed. I think more muted colours and matching decor would be better to give this Georgian hotel more stylish. The view of the royal news was exceptional

The location was good. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The bed was comfortable. There was a bath.
The room was exceptionally small. The view was non existent and we couldn’t even see the sky to evaluate the weather. The plug in the sink didn’t hold water. The TV didn’t have sound. There were steps by the door which were a hazard. We stayed two nights and on the second day the tea and coffee sachets weren’t replenished. The service in the bar on the first night was terrible. There were a handful of people in the bar and there were at least three members of staff but we waited 25 minutes for our drinks even though we reminded them twice. When asked on check out if we’d enjoyed our stay, we reeled off our issues to the receptionist, but she wasn’t apologetic. Definitely not value for money!

We loved the hotel and the staff were extremely helpful especially on reception. The only thing I would of liked was a little more space in our room, that said it was adequate and comfortable for our two night stay. Would definitely stay again it was an ideal location to everything.
Nothing really

Very clean and very well located
The serving staff at breakfast were very good indeed.
The front of house also very good indeed
Bed super comfy
Not really worth the money paid £520 for the night
The extra for the view was really non existent as we were to far along to look on the mews
No fridge in the room sockets only one side of the bed difficult to plug in the kettle
Despite being aware of a 60th birthday no effort was made to a knowledge this
Oh and the light in the bathroom was hanging out the ceiling.
Would stay again but with lower expectations.

Beautifully presented. Lovely rooms. Very comfy beds. All of the staff we encountered were exceptional.

The staff were amazing and couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The location was within a 5mins walk to the London Tube and in what seemed to be a safe area near Buckingham Palace. Dinner in the Curry Room was outstanding and worth every penny of the prix fixe menu. The rooms, at least the one we had was not huge but they were well appointed and had everything we needed.
Maybe the size of the shower... it was very clean and served its purpose but just felt a little on the smaller side.

Location is very close to Buckingham Palace which is great.
Indian restaurant is the best.
This is our second time of staying here a week apart. Reception staff are more accommodating and better the second time around than our first visit.

I’ve stayed there before and it’s an excellent location with good service
We had problems every day with the electronic key. The Queen’s Suite was lovely but small. Breakfast on Wednesday was very slow and room service on Thursday was also very slow. The staff were all outstanding. We were given a small discount which was appreciated. We still love the Rubens.
