The breakfast was good
We were locked out of the hotel at 10.30pm . After returning from an evening out thwrr was no way to access the front door as there was no outside door key on our room keys .. after 45 mins of phoning the property , knocking on windows doors and calling a taxi to take us back to our home 15miles away .. I found a property to the side of the inn and woke the occupants up , they had keys to the inn , and indeed let us in , we were outside the whole time , and no apology the next morning or a follow up phone call of apology..

The staff were very helpful and the location was ideal for a wedding we were attending in Cranborne. The breakfast was excellent too.
The wifi was down for our whole stay and there was no signal so we couldn’t use data for internet access. We were disappointed to be charged full price when it had been such an inconvenience. The shower cubicle in our room (3) was absurdly small so showering was difficult. We also found the beds a bit too springy and uncomfortable.

lovely pub used to live local to it so always known it was a lovely place
quality of cleaning in bathroom was horrendous, cobwebs, spiders, no toilet roll, sink was disgusting clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly, dust on all surfaces, toilet roll holder and radiator rusty and dirty, glasses and mugs in the room dirty and stained. lots of paint pots lying around, floor in room for breakfast filthy hadn’t been hoovered had to ask for a clean cup when ordered a cup of tea with evening meal, had gammon for meal at night, very poor quality, very thin and burnt

This is a good value place to stay. A country pub with good quality rooms, clean and spacious. The complimentary veg breakfast was good and looking around the meat options look generous.
Not much not to like, a little more on offer for a cold breakfast. But for the price I'm not complaining.

Lovely staff, beautiful location. Clean & nice looking inn. Food was amazing. Lovely that there was hot chocolate & biscuits, in addition to t & coffee, which was replaced everyday. Room was comfortable & clean. Also checked everyday & any cleaning was done, also bins emptied. Also we were given bottles of water for the way home.
It was a little pricey, for the size of the room & the facilities. Also the food was quite expensive. The extension lead was a bit dangerous as to put the bedside lamp next to the bed, you had to trail the lead across the floor. This was right across the entrance to the bathroom. In the middle of the night this could have dodgy in the dark. More plugs could solve this problem.

Great pub and bar area with friendly locals & staff. Room clean. Good food in onsite restaurant area, all dog friendly. Excellent heating, room warm & cosy
Nothing bad, however we selected upgrade room +£10 but were unaware it wasn't dog friendly, good communication to let us know and we happily swapped back to smaller room. Shower not.overly spacious. Room not serviced for our 2nd day so ran out of breakfast tea &.milk but staff happy to supply.

Location
The fact that my booked room was downgraded without prior knowledge. Hotel charged me the same price as the booked deluxe room until I complained. The wardrobe had mould, the bathroom was dirty and the kitchen extraction fan could be heard all night. Final straw was finding a sewing needle threaded into the bedding, which makes me suspect that the bedding hadn’t been changed.

Nice friendly staff and a comfy room. Really tasty breakfast!!
The bar was a bit noisy for me, and there was a bit of noise late at night and first thing in the morning, but they did provide earplugs so that helped.

The staff were very friendly, the breakfast was very good apart from my toast tasted of onions
Our bedroom was so small,..
Our room was freezing cold it was 6° outside and it felt like that inside! I asked for the heating to be put on and was told it was on a timer, but they will try to override it but that didn’t happen ! we were given a small radiator, and thank God for that!
The mattress had springs sticking out of it and the duvet was soo thin we were freezing, it’s a good job I noticed where the manager took it out the portable radiator because in there, I found two more duvets that we put on the bed and at least we were a lot warmer then..
We had to wear coats when we were having breakfast as it was freezing cold in the dining room..
This such a shame because we visited this hotel in the summer and had a lot bigger room, and of course it was warmer then..
The staff are very friendly and polite..
