rooms were a bit outdated

Accessible room was excellent. Bed was the most comfortable ever. Shower was perfect. The whole experience was delightful. would definitely come again.
Really nothing.

Nice quiet location. Breakfast very good. Liked that our doggo was welcome. Nice grounds too.
Cottage room was nice enough, however bit dated, no USB next to bed and TV not smart. So for the money..?

A lovely hotel with well kept grounds. Easy check in with clear info. For a solo traveller, the room was big, clean and warm with a very comfy bed. The breakfast was filling and tasty with cereals, fruit, yoghurts, pastries and a cooked breakfast. I did not use the pool but that’s a great asset for the hotel
At the price I payed, nothing comes to mind.

It was amazing to see a property so pet friendly, my dog loved it here!
My only problem was the shower! Water was cold and it didn’t really work, if I was staying for a longer stay I would have notified reception but was only staying for 2 nights!

The hotel was lovely, staff were really helpful. The breakfast buffet was perfect and had everything you needed. Will definitely stay here again!

Room was very large and comfortable. The small patio outside was very pleasant. If it had of been secure for the dog it would have been perfect. The dog run was very good and our dog loved it.
The food was only average. Everything else was good

Staff were fantastic . We stayed in a family room with our 2 dogs. The room was adequate but just not big enough and needed some updating . Facilities including pool and dog run area were great. We didn’t eat at the hotel on the evening but breakfast surpassed our expectations.
Would definitely return as it’s in a good location and the price was excellent
The bedroom for us needed to be bigger especially with a child and 2 dogs.

location is fantastic, beautiful old building and all in all great value for money, breakfast was included in the price and it was great, just basic buffet type breakfast it it was delicious.
if I had to pick fault the only thing would be the bathroom in our room was a little shabby, but still nothing really to moan about, there were a few patches of peeling paint but it’s not the end of the world.

Breakfast was lovely enjoyed it quick and easy to find everything
Nothing easy for taxi use loved every minute of our stay great place to stay 😊👍

location was nice
we were given a different room to what we paid for. owners were very rude, the bathroom was full of mould and dirty,no hot water for the shower, pool was freezing cold and dirty. We booked a table for evening meal and waited 50 minutes before our order was even taken and the food was nothing special.

Breakfast great.
Location good, only possible problem which we didn’t encounter was that the hotels website stated that they couldn’t secure a parking place for us and parking was on a first come basis. If there wasn’t a space available there is a fee payment public car park, but this was approximately 0.5 miles away.
Can’t think of anything!

The room was a great size and comfortable. The breakfast buffet has a good selection and quality coffee. I asked for soya milk and my husband asked for veggie sausages and these came quickly with a smile. The common areas were lovely and it felt really comfortable and relaxing to spend time in these areas. The pool was great.
Check-in at 4pm seem a bit late.

lovely situation in a semi rural position
hotel needs a bucket load of TLC , hall ways we’re dirty when we arrived and the same dirt was there the next day

Staff were lovely and welcoming. Very friendly and accommodating. Hotel cosy, warm and felt like home. Felt very at ease there. Great location. Many small towns and tourist sites not far at all (by car or by walking). Loved the breakfast and choice of late evening menu. I only had a sandwich one evening so can't judge totally on the menu though what I saw others eating looked good from afar. My sandwich was quite good but I did wonder what flavour the crisps were as they tasted like a few different flavours all at once. Liked that the hotel had a varied past and its own swimming pool and was dog friendly. I'd look forward to a return visit in better weather (it poured the whole time we were there) but we still had a great time.
Very little I didn't like. A few minor points: our room wasn't finished when we arrived but this was due to the rain causing delays to deliver bedding so that was fine really, not a big deal. Everything sorted as soon as they arrived. And just a stain on the pillow and belt of dressing gown a little discoloured (looked like it'd been washed with something red, as it had gone lightly pink) again not big deals. I didn't notice anything else. Pool was clean, public toilets clean despite flooding issue. Grounds seemed well kept. Car parking space seemed ample for the time of year.

The rooms were pleasant particularly the lake view room
Check in was easy and hotel in good location
Was able to control room temperature .
There was a lot of light coming into or in the rooms making it difficult to sleep.
The light from the landing shone brightly through the edges of the door and from the curtains .
The door needs some strips of felt to exclude the light . I used pieces of paper .
Also one room had a very bright green light .

Very friendly and helpful staff.
Liked everything. Would go back again.
