clean comfortable hotel, had breakfast fast and evening meal, both spot on! Excellent staff, couldn’t do enough for us, thank you!
8.0
New, clean, ability to open windows, ability to drop off luggage before and after checkin times so could tour; breakfast musliex, tea, location. Front desk staff are wonderful. Value for price.
Driveway horrible to try and roll luggage on to get to the back of building where new rooms are located. NEED TO PAVE DRIVEWAY!
Dinner was not good although great pot of tea and accommodating staff.

Absolutely rubbish, rude staff, awful breakfast and old room
Staff not helpful at all , WiFi was broken and they keep saying it is fine, I was given a room with no bath and they say the description on the page is generic so some rooms have no bath, the shower had plastic curtains that was sticking, absolutely horrible experience

Very nice Hotel, started with a very helpful lady on Reception when I checked in. She even sorted a Taxi out for me which was nice. Room was very spacious, comfortable and really enjoyed my stay.
Was a bit expensive for the one night.

Warmly welcomed, as previously. All staff very pleasant, friendly and accommodating/helpful.
Room and bathroom a good size, appeared to be recently decorated. Towels soft and good size, shower gel/soap smelt really nice. Fan provided in room. Windows work/opened to let fresh air in.
Location excellent.Parking included. Offered use of hairdryer on check in.
Full English breakfast was very good.. particularly liked the pea shoot.
Pillows and mattress were ok, but could be better. Didn't have an iron and board in the room (I could have phoned reception and asked for one but ran out of time before I went out.... would just be easier if hairdryer/iron and board were standard supplies for all rooms.
More coffee options/better quality coffee would take breakfast up a notch. Breakfast is very popular so slow enough time to enjoy it.

It’s absolutely prefect for pre cruise night and to park car also. Our 2nd visit and have it booked again for June.

From checking in to departure everything was excellent.

Everything the room and staff were excellent
Had to double stack the car due cruise people using the carpark.
7.0
Location was great, free ample parking with a good system for cruise parking.
Friendly staff
Good breakfast
Good bathroom with huge bath
Very clean.
Bed was very uncomfortable and although two pillows, they were so flat may as well not bothered. Need to invest in some new ones.
Bar didn’t open till 6pm
Evening restaurant very small. In height too.
Road noise from our room at front of hotel
Location to town about a 30 min walk.

Central
Was charged a late check in fee of £15 which was not disclosed anywhere before we got there. They also didn’t have our booking either. Plastering all coming off the bathroom ceiling too. Looked grotty.

The hotel was warm and clean, the staff were polite and the breakfast good. The location between the town and the university was ideal for us.
The car parking arrangement is weird. The hotel rents the car parking spaces to cruise-holiday people. So the actual hotel guests have to “double park”. There is a “yellow ribbon” on each cruise car so that you know you can block it. It kind-of works, but there is not enough space to navigate comfortably, and it looks a mess. To be honest, it’s hassle you just don’t need after a long journey. It was off-putting when we arrived.
Our room was warm and clean, and had a huge bathroom with a centrally-placed bath you could walk around. But there was nothing you could reasonably call a “shower”. Instead, there were three “curtains” hanging off long sets of wires attached to three of the walls. It looked like a scene from a horror movie or Edward Scissorhands. The curtains would have been completely useless if we had attempted to use them to shower. We managed to push the “wires and curtains” back against the walls and forget about taking a shower - the bath was lovely, and the room looked a lot less scary. It’s such a shame, because again this created a terrible first impression (we were laughing in disbelief), whereas just making it clear that the room had a bath but no shower (and getting rid of the horrid curtains and wires) would just resolve the issue.

Great location 2 mins from offspring’s new flat. Good facilities, friendly staff, comfortable room.
Busy night so parking was a bit tricky but got space in the end for overnight

Nice bathroom
Uncomfortable bed, very dark room, noise from street - needs triple glazing. poor ventilation needs air conditioning. Breakfast ok but for the price overall the hotel does not offer good value. Paid extra for a luxury room to discover we were in an annexe to the hotel and the room was smaller than another room which we booked which was larger and in the main hotel.

room was big and spacious
I parked my car where I was told, but the next morning two more cars had double parked behind me, I was going shopping that morning with my daughter, they hotel said they would pay for a taxi into town but not back. in the finish the taxi cost us £12 back to the hotel. if we had stuck to our original plans where my wife and daughter were going on a cruise then I wouldn’t have been able to give them a ride to the port as previously said my car was blocked in.
do not stay here if you are leaving your car to go on a cruise, totally unorganised parking.

This is the second time we have stayed here and the staff are fantastic if going on a cruise you can keep your car there and they even make sure you got a taxi to take you to the port when ready will be booking this hotel for many years to come

easy to find and large car park. a short drive to the port and an easy walk into town.

the style, staff and food was great
the pillow and mattress protector are made of some sort of plastic which has no breath in it at all! I had to remove them in the end. No water provided in the room even though in a separate building to the bar.
