Ideal for one night only. Great location. Free parking. Lovely bar snack. Friendly staff.
Very small room.
No coffee maker just a kettle. Shower lacked power. Pipe in bathroom has silver tape on it. Outside room fire fallen of wall lying loose.
Booking.com has breakfast as 6-10am but we were told 8am. So could not stay for breakfast.
Area of bar had a sign staying private function that night. So we looked around for another restaurant because we thought it would be busy. However, no function on.

The bedroom had a large and very comfortable bed with a good shower. The location is good being in walking distance to both the Royal Victoria Park and the Southampton Seaway. The cooked breakfast was of the usual high standard, we have stayed here three times now.
Nothing.

Relaxed friendly staff were lovely. Room was comfortable although freezing on arrival, soon remedied. Location was handy for waterside stroll, local range of restaurants and takeaway and pub grub on the premises was fairly priced and well prepared. Car park adjacent to accommodation in annexe was a plus and area was quiet and seemed safe
It was good to excellent on all counts, thanks.

we have stayed here many times when visiting family as they live close by. Netley is a beautiful village with the Royal Victoria Country Park and seafront on the Hotel's doorstep. Also the food is lovely and we have had lots of family celebrations there too. Lovely English breakfast. We stayed 2 nights and the second day our room was re-freshed and the bed made. If you are wanting to stay because visiting Soutgampton then I would say it is further out and you would need a car. The village of Hamble is not too far away and worth a visit. The buses are quite infrequent but they do take you into the heart of Southampton.
It is an all round lovely place.
The rooms are in a separate annexe at the back of the bar and restaurant.. For us it is not a problem but for some it could be especially if the weather was bad. It doesn't bother us as'it's just a minute walk along a path to the rooms. Obviously if yoh are not ising the bar/restaurant then its not an issue anyway. The rooms are very basic but had everything we needed i.e clean towels, shampoo and body wash, hairdryer, tea, biscuits, coffee, bottles of water and electric heating that we could control ourselves.

Lovely friendly staff both at check in and breakfast! Plenty of room to park in the pub carpark. Rooms located in a separate building to the rear of the pub so no noise or anything, we did stay midweek though. Had the family room so maybe bigger than the other rooms, plenty of space and contained everything you could possibly need. Loads of teas, coffees, hairdryer, fan, ironing board, TV etc. Bathroom compact but good size shower cubicle and good water pressure. Bed really comfy and cosy, we had a great nights sleep! Everything was very clean throughout too.
The best part of our stay was breakfast, absolutely delicious! Would come back just for that.

Die Lage etwas ausserhalb der Hektik und trotzdem nahe bei Laden und Bus. Speziell die Nähe zum grossen Viktoria Park.

Clean and airy. The room was cool even on the hottest day of the year. A fan was provided. It was in a perfect location for us for visiting family.
We could hear the people staying above walking around, taking a shower.

Great location. Plenty of parking. Clean and comfortable room. Friendly staff. Great food and a well stocked tea tray.
Wifi wasn’t working (staff did inform me on check in, and apologised), however that affected the TV, so the TV kept losing signal.

Great staff , did a good job ,bed was comfortable, food was very good too.well done !
The rooms need an upgrade very tired , the bedding and pillows were damp ,and you could smell it . If only the rooms were upto the standard of the food and staff service. Sad .

Staff friendly and efficient. Rooms spotlessly clean and well equipped. There was even a small ironing board! Lots of supplies to make hot drinks in your room including coffee, tea and delicious hot chocolate. There was also bottles of still and sparkling water as well as a good selection of biscuits. We had an evening meal there which was delicious. and we also had an excellent breakfast in the morning. Both were good value for money. The car parking is very easy, being right next door to the pub and it is situated a short walk form the estuary and Victoria Park
Nothing really.

Location is excellent for viewing boats coming into Southampton and for dog walking round Netley. Staff were helpful and friendly although very busy. Seemed to be one person behind the bar and one taking meal orders, waiting and then clearing tables. Despite being busy they were very efficient. We like the fact they welcome dogs and don't charge extra. The room although small was very clean which is a huge plus.
Been before and had a lovely room. This time we had one which was very cramped and the en suite was small . Good shower but could have had more access to the toilet.

Ok place but cold

The water pressure for the shower was tremendous, the shower head nearly shot off the shower pole.
Nothing much other than the door to the room had a recessed latch which was fiddly .

it’s advertised as a Hotel. I would describe as a Pub with rooms. Having said that, our beds were really comfortable with lovely pillows, and I had the best steak I‘ve had for a long time. The barman, who seemed to be “front of house “ as well and who showed us to our rooms was friendly and efficient, as were the staff at dinner. I have already booked for the same weekend for next year. I highly recommend.
Not a lot.
