The apartment was beautiful and well situated just a short walk to the city centre. A lot of bars and restaurants literally on your doorstep. The air conditioning was a bonus to come back to after being out and about in the warm weather.
We loved our stay at The Hideaway. There was some noise from the Salon next door but it wouldn’t put us off from Booking again. Would’ve liked some Tea, Coffee, Sugar in the apartment upon arrival but again not a deal breaker as we now know there is a shop around the corner that sells everything you could need.

Basement room with sealed window below hairdressers salon. You are subjected to the sound of continuous thudding of heavy footsteps and high heel shoes, squeaking floorboards, rolling of equipment trolleys and dropping of equipment onto the floor. The salons toilet ( behind your bed head) and their staff room are downstairs beside your room so you hear staff from 8 am until 7:30pm on one night, the slamming of doors, loud footsteps coming down stairs beside your room , electronic beeps on the door code to open the staff room and the door slamming shut. This happens numerous times throughout the day. If you are 6 foot you have to bend your head to get into the room! I messaged caretaker 45 mins after I arrived to say I could not tolerate the noise as I wanted to read a book, sleep and relax before my cruise. I wanted my money back and I wanted to move but she was not obliging and stated that I should have read the reviews about the properties negative aspects !! I paid an equivalent price to other properties in the area on Booking.com so it wasn’t any cheaper just noisier!
They don’t provide complimentary tea or coffee but they do provide EAR PLUGS FOR THE DAY !!!!
1.Light from staircase and windows( which have blinds) is very bright and reflects in the rooms mirror making it look like daylight at night ! See photo
2. No fresh air.. window sealed with black tape. Stale stinky air in corridors and outside room from maybe toilet, staff room food smells or salon bleach smells???
3. Cooking on hob was ok but as no vent worried the fire alarm would go off.
4. Laundry was advertised but there wasn’t one but they would charge you to have it done.
5. Netflix advertised but it wasn’t readily available and had to message phone contact to get it sorted.

What a perfect little spot for my wife & I.
Exceptionally clean, ginormous comfy bed, super modern what more could you want!
Didn’t realise the choice of restaurants & bars we would have on the road too!
wish we had booked for longer

A mockery!!!! Underneath a hairstyle where from morning to 7 pm there are 4 ladies slamming doors and bocanwsc with their heels in the floor!!! Trati like !!! I don't recommend that to anyone. Discomfort and bad treatment by those in the building

The Hideaway was a lovely place to stay. I must say the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. There was everything I needed for my solo stay. Restaurants and bars on the doorstep. Ideal for couples too.

Closeness to the port
Noise from hair salon above, noise from eine bar next door.

The apartment was centrally located and within walking distance of shops and bars but also a regular bus service and Uber. Very clean and with everything you need for your stay, including bedding, towels, a hair dryer, and iron. The kitchen had a microwave, a kettle , toaster, and a handy dishwasher. Lady who dealt with me was lovely and always responded.

Really good location and perfect for two, really comfortable and easy to find. Clear instructions to get in.
Could use a complimentary tea set, as we were only staying two nights didn't need the use of the kitchen but would have been nice to have a tea in the morning. Maybe a blind or cover for the glass bricks in the corner as it's very light all night in the room . Also we only had one loo roll so a couple of spares would be good!

Location is great.
Very bad acoustic. We could hear people talking and walking above the property. Didn’t realise it’s on the lower ground so no view from window.

Wonderful location just a block from restaurants and bars for best Greek food and tasty cocktails. Walking distance to city walls touring attraction. Close to ferry to Isle of Wight and close to cruise ports. Host was ill but still provided excellent advice over phone on specifics, also excellent docs for operating appliances and TV in the room. Quiet room well appointed with pleasant simple but tasteful decor. Private.
Plumbing was difficult. Commode flush button stuck and wouldn't work reliably. Shower head rod supposed to be permanently attached to wall came loose so had to hold whole apparatus up while showering. Because host ill she couldn't fix these problems for us for the three nights we stayed, but she assured us the fixtures would be repaired and we believe she will correct this. Everything else was good but apartment description should mention the two short narrow staircases down to the basement--older clients with heavy luggage (like us) might struggle to get down to the entrance.

The room was very nicely presented & close to public transport. Pubs & Restaurant just across the road.
There were too many steps to manoeuvre as this room was in the basement. Although the room was presented lovely it was very small.
It is not set up for cooking except for a Hob located in the bottom of a cupboard which we couldn't get to due to furniture placement.
The shower is very small also

the only good thing was that it was clean
Access to the property was confusing and not easy
I messaged about the tv not working but never received a reply, parking wasn’t explained,
you have to put a ticket on your car every 4 hours between 8am and 6pm which was fine and then it was free until 8am the next day, but this wasn’t explained. very poor communication from the owner and would definitely not book again

Really nice place in a great location. Nicely decorated, good facilities.
VERY NOISY at 8.30am due to hairdressers being above. Towels are ridiculously tiny. Shower was hanging off the wall and the water was really hot and couldn't turn it down enough to be comfortable. Bed size was great, but pillows and matress rock hard. I couldn't have managed another night in that bed.

location was fantastic. it was also a very modern and comfortable property.
way to many pillows on the bed and all were too hard. the shower was hanging off the walls and the towels were far too small.
3.8
it was very central perfect for shopping/eating & to walk to the port
Stairs were difficult with heavy suitcases ( we were going on a cruise). Found the hairdressers upstairs noisy as they started at 8-8:30 and could hear conversations as well as heavy walking

Some things needed a little tlc. And could hear noise from above and outsides music sometimes

Noisy from other rooms

A very clean, modern, well equipped and comfortable apartment. Excellent shower and plenty hot water. Air conditioning which can be reversed to heat apartment. Although street busy at night no noise in apartment and felt very safe

The accommodation was lovely and clean with nice finishing touches and everything you need for a long weekend. Nice big comfy bed and powerful shower. Plenty of bars and restaurants just on your door step!

Location excellent and very clean.
TV didn't work even when we tried to reset it and obviously still unable to do much else in evening there. Also thought there was an hairdryer so will have to remember to take your own.
