I recently stayed at The Strings Continental Japan Tokyo, and I had a wonderful experience. The room was beautiful with stunning views, and everything was exceptionally clean. The customer service was top-notch, with friendly staff providing 10/10 service every single day. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming throughout the hotel. I opted for the breakfast buffet, and I’m glad I did – the food was delicious and made for a great start to each day. The only downside was the need to rely on the train system daily, as taxis are expensive, but it’s manageable if you’re prepared. Overall, I had a 10/10 stay and would highly recommend it!

Absolutely top notch in every way. Strings connects with the Shinagawa station making traveling around Japan very easy. It’s spotlessly clean, has good but expensive restaurant choices and a great breakfast buffet. The staff is exceptional in every way and couldn’t have been more professional, welcoming and kind.
Not a thing.

The hotel is super convenient to Shinagawa Station, which is a quieter (compared to Shinjuku, Shibuya, Ikebukuro and Tokyo Stations) but still major JR Station. We really liked the breakfast buffet at the hotel, The bed was comfy and all the staff we talked to were friendly and helpful. We flew into Haneda, and getting from Haneda to the hotel was fast and very easy.

So close to the Shinagawa Station
Lovely rooms and amenities. Our room had a great view of beautiful green spaces. Very private
The bar/restaurant was a little dark

Good position if You use JR. Shinagawa is big very interesting station, lot of shops, food stores, very easy to get from/to all airport. Breakfast offer is very colourful, hotel itself is quiet and has interesting interior.
Checkout was not extendable for about 2-3 hours. Could be problem traveling with kids. Nothing more negative to add.
4.3
The hotel is very nicely decorated, very warm and comfortable. The restaurant is delicious.
We would have loved a spa to relax after a day visits ING Tokyo.

the Intercontinental The Strings is a wonderful, professionally managed hotel.

Excellent location right next to Shinagawa station. The hotel reception is located on the 26th floor and easiest pedestrian access is via level 2 from the station external concourse (turn right at Dean & Deluca if you are coming off the train).
The hotel is very minimal, clean and pleasant and the rooms are well appointed and spacious.
The buffet breakfast was varied and very nice.
Staff are pleasant and courteous.
Bar prices are high.
4.3
excellent location very near to station
staff are extremely helpful and nice

The location is excellent for those wanting to sight see the main attractions East of Tokyo. Navigating the Shinagawa station was manageable and the JR-Y line runs right through it. The hotel itself is a perfect size for excellent service, not too many rooms or people are situated there and this makes breakfast accessible and easy to navigate. The staff were amazing, they were helpful and attentive.
Room service and the cocktails at the bar are quite expensive.
4.3
spacious and near the train station
