La gentillesse du personnel
l'odeur de javel de la chambre, le manque de propreté de la salle de bain, les équipements vétustes, le restaurant fermé le dimanche soir, l'isolement géographique

Beautiful setting and pool. Room had balcony. Pleasant staff.
They seemed to be having some infrastructure issues; repairing leaks and the hot water did not work for a portion of our stay.

First very difficult to find. On arrival a very noisy student end of term party. Room very damp and miserable. We left with the assurance to be refunded. We are still waiting. Never again.

We really enjoyed the location and the swimming pool. Also, the employees were helpful when we needed them.
First, the faucet in our bathroom was broken. Then, we didn’t like the breakfast, which wasn’t worth the money.

Friendly, family property, nestled in the hills in the environs of Aix de Provence. Ate dinner every night in the hotel restaurant which made our trip much easier. Food was good. Breakfast is the normal buffet affair, coffees plentiful and decent (espresso machine). Nice seating areas throughout. Plenty of easy parking. Very helpful staff.

The hotel was located not too far from the town of Aix in a quite location. The bed was comfortable.
Our cottage room was tired and the bathroom had not been thoroughly cleaned after the previous occupants. The exterior terrace and several large cracks had a number of tiles that were broken/uneven. The pool was cold and dirty.

Good restaurant which supplied an excellent evening meal and a reasonable breakfast
The room was situated at the foot of a steep hill apart from the main building which contained the restaurant facilities. It was difficult to locate the check in desk when we arrived.

The location is brilliant. Forest all around and a quiet and beautiful setting, with many choices for sitting outside and relaxing around the pool. Even the promised squirrels were in evidence. Great for guests who want to stay near the town but avoid the noise and the crowds. Friendly management, good breakfast.
We would not recommend a stay in March. I specifically asked upon arrival if we would have a room with a terrace but this was not the case though we were the only guests. We were told we could use all outside places but that is not the same. When I asked if the bar was open I was told no though it is specified on booking.com it would be open until 10pm. On the plus side, we had the whole place to ourselves the next morning.

A very large family party was in for a couple of days and access to meals was restricted.

Food and wine
The grounds and public areas could easily be improved with a little care
The staff seemed reluctant to go out of their way to help guests. For example, on checking in there was no offer to carry my bags to my room.
No closed off changing and showering areas for guests to use after checking out.

The staff was quite friendly.
Could have used a few more pillows to be comfortable, we got one small pillow per adult.

Location reasonably quiet and good access to the TGV. The pool would have been welcome if the weather had been warmer.
We arrived in heavy rain, and had to wait under a mat covering before the receptionist arrived.
The dining room lack any charm, and could have been at a bus station.

Swimming pool was nice. Suite was ok.
You have to pay separately to use the sauna. The food at the restaurant was expensive and not good, we ordered steaks and it was completely burned and tasteless. When we checked in nothing was explained about spa and sauna facilities. The drain in the shower was blocked flooding every time we showered.

This is a wonderful hotel with rooms dotted around in a hillside wood. Really lovely situation, fabulous restaurant, nice pool and lots of secure parking. Couldn’t have wished it to be nicer!!
Rien à dire!

The location in the pines is lovely and calm , and some of the staff were very sympathetic and really trying todo their best, especially at breakfast such sweet older man and woman. The gardener was so kind and trying to help his colleagues under staff.
Understaffing situation, room not properly cleaned at arrival and no cupboards to put your clothes in! The restaurant proclaiming a great cook, which was not present during our week there. Menu announced was not available, dishes missing as not enough food. The lock box in the room was never fixed despite us reporting it. The room decorations are none, paintings on walls not well done. For a room of this price disappointed! Balcony dirty not even clean once during our 7 days stay!

A charming inn in the woods above Aix en Provence full of comfortable rustic charm, delightfully run by Olivia who stayed calm during all our Covid related booking changes and was the perfect hostess once we were there. We took our delicious dinner prepared by the hotel on our own small terrace with a lovely bottle of local red wine. Our room was spotless, the beds comfy and poolside breakfast was very pleasant.
