A lovely, well run hotel in an excellent location.
Nothing. Our stay was às good as we had anticipated

Everything, except for the Wi-Fi coverage.
Excellent food both at the pub and the breakfast that was included, the kind staff, the fact they are dog-friendly, the location of the hotel, the facilities and the size of the room, the quietness and the living room were all outstanding.
Wi-Fi coverage in our room and across the hotel was constantly dropping out (we were not much interested in being connected, but that's the only thing I could think of to make it a 10/10.

Another great experience at the Crown. The owners obviously know how to run a hotel and have struck a very good balance between country Inn and genuine hotel. The King room we had was large with a very large ensuite
We had a room at the front this time with lovely views over the village green however you do get the smoke drifting into the room from the smokers who gather at outside, a dedicated smokers point away from the front of the hotel would be better for residents although of course not for the regulars who use the bar

Breakfast was excellent and the food in the bar was very good. Room had very large comfortable bed, it was fairly basic but spacious, and included tea, coffee, biscuits and water. Location is central, nice little village, ideal for going off in different directions each day.

The Crown Hotel enjoys a very central location and
enjoys easy access to many of the areas’ prime
attractions. Easy parking. My dog was made very
welcome and the staff were lovely. breakfast was
excellent
I had to struggle with my luggage up the stairs when
I arrived although I was offered assistance when I left

Staff were friendly. Breakfast was delicious. Food during evening meal amazing. Room was comfortable.
Group of locals blocking the entire bar front, staring and leering during our meal, I even heard them talking about their bullying while having a drink outside after the meal. If it’s their intention to act in this manner perhaps it would be a good plan to separate them from diners?

Good location and the room is good value for money. There is plenty of easily accessible parking.
The shower was dirty with soap scum around the soap dish and bottom of the screen.

Room was perfect for a single night single occupancy stay. The food in the evening was fantastic.

Great location, large, nicely decorated rooms, excellent food and staff very helpful
TV reception was poor but I didn't even bother to mention it as not the reason anyone would stay in Exford and the rest of the accommodation was excellent.

Fantastic location in the centre of Exmoor. The room was clean and well-presented and overlooked the village green. The pub itself has a good atmosphere and is used by visitors and locals. Food was excellent. Hidden gem of a beer garden with a little stream running through it at the rear of the inn.
Breakfast is table service only so no chance to see the food that's available first e.g. fruit and yoghurt - I prefer to see the fruit and its level of ripeness first so didn't order this option.

Everything was amazing. A really country pub and fantasy staff. We can’t wait to go back!

The staff were great, exceptionally friendly and helpful. They booked our table for dinner in advance as they knew they would be busy, and it was well needed as the place filled up a bit later in the evening, not sure where we would have eaten otherwise. Both our dinner and breakfast were quite tasty.
The location is great for those wishing to take a trip round the national park or just to have a few days in the countryside.
Loved seeing dogs about the place, a pity none were mine!
Fire exit light was very annoying as a light sleeper. Breakfast portions were a little small (but I'm a big eater). Could do with a lick of paint in places.

We were a group of 4 couples, meting up to walk around Exmoor. The Crown was a central, comfortable, welcoming base to explore from and relax at the end of the day.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
There was nothing we didn’t like.
