We loved it! It was just sublime.

The property and its grounds are amazing. The room we booked came with its own pool and it was simply amazing. The breakfast and afternoon tea was fairly good but the overall experience of the Spa, the super friendly staff and service was just fantastic. We will be back! Highly recommend this place!

Excellent stay with extremely friendly staff highly recommend a stay

The staff were extremely helpful nothing was too much trouble, the staff in the restaurant remembered us and always had kind words to say, location was good easy reach of towns amenities, restaurants etc, and if you didn’t fancy the walk reception staff able to arrange transfer to said location, cleanliness was second to none even on the day that we left staff came in and tidied the room never been anywhere where that has been done highly recommend a stay at this hotel

Well worth the money and the food was awesome too!

We stayed at 3 different 5 star locations in Bali and this place was the best! It was very relaxing, secluded, clean, staff was awesome! Sadarma, was the villa supervisor, in which treated our family like celebrities, very nice and personable! Anything we needed was very quick. Definitely recommending to others that are going to stay in ubud and when we come back, we will stay here again! We had a family of 4 and got to stay in Joglo 1, the best they have. if you can get this, definitely worth it.

Wasn’t within walking distance of the city, but we would get the free shuttle or pay a few dollars for a taxi.

Purist is an excellent choice for a relaxing and quiet getaway!!!

Purist Villa was a great place to relax and recharge!! The staff were extremely friendly and rendered excellent service. All the staff ( reception, spa, housekeeping and drivers) were all wonderful, helpful and accommodative to our requests. To top the experience was the high quality food at the at the resort’s restaurant, Balisimo Cafe, a good option of local and western cuisine with plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. We would like to express a special thanks to Yuli , who was very friendly and provided great service for 3 nights at the cafe. We left feeling wet rested and pampered😀

Very poor

The pool was good. we stayed at limasan residence.

1. The water logged in the bathroom. 2. The bathing tub in room didn’t hold water for some reason even after closing the drain. 3. Some lizard/small gecko (as told by staff) pooped on our bed. 4. The hotel didn’t replenish the toileteries everyday. One tiny tube of toothpaste could last only a day. 5. The cafe Balismo is under staffed. keep on waiting for them to take order.

Great place , highly recommended for a family trip

Well kept property, clean , sanitised and qualified staff who were always there to help . Service was as good as any 5 star rated hotel .

The location superb. The staff are very nice,also you can rent motorcycles in the hotel (which is very useful if you want to visit restaurants or other locations). The food is delicious and the room villa was spacious with huge terrace and swimming pools were also great. Plus the ‘afternoon tea’ was lovely. housekeeping was done at least twice a day which was fantastic.

There could’ve been more choices for breakfast, however it did taste great.

location and hotel excellent, stayed in a bamboo villa and would highly recommend. Would definitely return.

Breakfast was very good but disappointed in wine selection with dinner. Very limited selection of not great wine. Would have eaten at hotel more frequently bar for this fact particularly as traffic into Ubud town centre gridlocked a lot of the time.

dream location for the eye and the heart

beautiful spacious villas with arty decoration, we loved to spend time in the villa and had breakfast there most of the time as well. the staff is exceptionally warm, friendly, personal and helpful. also the restaurant is lovely and the food and drinks very good. great services and activities, all at reasonable cost, so that eg we used the hotel car for transport etc as it was a better service at a good price. all of the family was sad to leave.

some minor items were not fully up to the standard, like the gym.

Amazing staff but wouldn’t reccomend if you are afraid of lizards

The staff is absolutely amazing!! I never met such nice people, always hepling us and provided anything we needed. The spa treatments were also nice, a little too pricey. Very good breakfast and afternoon tea also. at night, they would light up something on the terrace to keep away mosquitoes and change the towels twice a day.

LIZARDS IN THE ROOM. I can understand the villas are in the middle of the jungle, and that’s where the lizards live but I don’t think it’s normal for them to make a nest in our room and kept making noises all the night, very difficult to sleep.. We stayed in the Limasan residence and everynight we found about 2-3 small, white lizards. The staff was nice and helped us get rid of them, but then others would enter. The major problem was in the 5th day when I found animal poo in the bed… We asked at the reception and it confirmed it was from a bigger lizard, gecko, the one that kept making the noise. They say it lives in the ceiling and it’s impossible for them to catch it, even pest control came the next day and couldn’t do anything. For the rest of the nights we squeezed in and all 4 of us slept in the smaller room (not the one with the living room where the lizard had a nest) because we didn’t want to wake up with lizard poo on our face or something. I did some research and I understood that in Bali it’s normal for lizards to sometimes enter the room, but I would expect for the money we paid that the rooms could be better proofed, I wouldn’t have mind if one entered by accident, but it’s not ok for one to actually have a nest there. The shuttle to Ubud could have one more pick up time at night, because the last one is at 16.00 and I think it’s a little too early and we had to pay for taxi when we stayed later.

this property is off the beaten path but it’s one of the nicest hotels I have been too. i am in my 30’s and I stayed at the resort with my parents who are in their 60’s. it’s super quiet, luxurious and the food is incredible. i highly recommend

breakfast was wonderful. but wish there was perhaps one special to choose from a day. 4 stayed 4 nights, selection got monotous at day 3. Tradeoff for tranquility- property a bit isolated. roads v narrow so walking out dangerous. Villa neighbour was v loud. water feature at pool masks noise effectively- when it works.

Perfect place to relax & discover Ubud

This was our third stay at the Purist and once again we have not been disappointed. The rooms/ villas are very beautifully decorated, offer plenty of space and the staff once again was super friendly and helpful. Still close to the centre off Ubud, the location is a quiet & peaceful oasis. Breakfast and discretionary afternoon are delicious and so are all other meals served in the restaurant by the pool. We‘ll definitely be back if we come back to Ubud
