2.0
Everything was clean and well presented
The bed was was terrible. Woke up back pain.
2.5
Good location and parking.
It was all just a bit tired, even the staff. Needs sprucing up.
4.0
Cheap. Very clean
Very steep stairs, small room
5.0
the room was clean and the bed was comfy. There was a small fridge and a microwave and a welcome pack which was nice.
well the place was a bit further to colchester town than we thought.
4.0
The location suited us for our trip to Colchester.
It was very warm in the room.
2.5
The shower blocked up because it looked as though the drain had not been cleaned for ages.
3.5
It was functional and close to the city centre with off road parking and value for money.
The fridge was noisy and kept me awake. The bed base was grubby and could do with replacing or having a valance sheet covering it and the pink net curtains are very tacky.
5.0
Clean easy to find great location pleasant
Walls a little thin so can hear guests coming and going and I was paranoid they would hear my noisy children in the morning but that could happen in most hotels!
3.5
Friendly staff, easy check in
A bit dated
2.5
No breakfast available
Stars to room steep not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. No mention of this when booking. Room was clean and comfortable but no ensuite, the bathroom was next door and accessed by a corridor which was used by other customers. This was embarrassing when going for a shower in nightdress or going to the toilet at night if other customers were coming in late
5.0
Good facilities the bed was really comfortable shower easy to use expected a lot of noise as it was on a busy road the noise was very minimal overall a good stay
Just the room could have been a bit bigger
4.0
It was quiet warm and comfortable
It was a bit of a trek to get some breakfast.
BTW, I have no idea what the staff were like as there were none on site.

The hospitality
1.5
Price was fair
Wooden floor boards. Dirty beds which where screwed to the floor. Sheets clean and pillows clean but actual beds need updating. Dust in corners over powering smell of beech and marked and dirty curtains. Very noisy room next to road.
5.0
Cosy and comfortable with good basic facilities and off road parking.
4.5
We really enjoyed our stay. We loved that there were tea and coffee making facilities along with a fridge, complementary water and a microwave. Having parking was great and checking in and out was so easy. Communication with the hosts was excellent they were so helpful.
There was nothing we didn't like but we would suggest hooks for jackets and maybe better lighting around the mirrors. Especially bathroom.
5.0
Closeness to the city
Bathroom was separate to the room, and the stairs being very steep inside.
3.5
The room was clean, tidy, and well equipt. The welcome tray and complimentary cold drinks were a nice touch. The self-check-in/out process went smoothly thanks to clear instructions before and during the stay.
The parking on the driveway was a little tight when used by 4 vehicles. When arriving by car at night, it's hard to see the house numbers so a sign at the driveway entrance would be a helpful addition.

4.0
Good value for money, friendly staff, easy check in, comfortable beds. I liked the fridge in each room with a water and orange juice.
One of our parties got locked in the bathroom so unfortunately we had to call someone. And also the kettle lead was soo short in one of the bedrooms we couldn’t use it for a cup of tea which was so odd.
3.0
Great location, onsite parking, price
In need of renovation, creaky floor boards, bathroom needs renovation, very steep stairs
3.5
It was clean and had everything that I needed in room
