I had to leave😥

The room was one of the premier and was on the second top floor, with lovely views over the Botanical Gardens. The premier room gave us two unexpected drinks in the bar each day. The bed was large and comfortable and the aircon quiet. There are lots of nice and affordable restaurants around the location and a market in the gardens on Sunday. We chose to eat breakfasts out each morning. The hotel restaurant had good deals if you joined the ``Royal Club'' (or whatever it is called) for free. Whilst the decor was a bit dated, it is well maintained and very clean. Nice pool also. I have not actually stayed in Brisbane for years so it was a great place for exploration. Will stay again.
Breakfasts at the hotel are a wee bit expensive for two who are not business travellers. The lift requires patience at peak times.
4.3
Proximity and good value for money
Needed updating eg: pool area and pool
Shower bath
Walls between rooms very thin could hear everything

The location, aesthetics and vibe.

The location of the hotel was nice and close to the center of Brisbane. The beds were super comfortable. the curtains blacked out the light really well. Air con was easy to use
The toilet was in a bit of an interesting spot but not too much of a bother. The shower door didn't keep all of the water in, there was a little spill and it was hard to put a towel down as a mat as the door would move it. To get to the parking is a bit if a squeeze with my car nearly scraping on the sides on multiple occasions

Location is great. Directly across the road from the botanical gardens. Pool was great and you can order food and drinks direct to it. Staff we so helpful and friendly. Buffet breakfast was delicious. Will definitely be back.

The dining was superb, every meal we had was well presented, timely and fresh.
Tight car parks underneath...

We loved the overall atmosphere and presence of friendly, kind faces at the Royal. The room was lovely, clean, beautiful view, and spacious.

Location great
We booked for a 2 night stay. Reported to Reception that we had no hot water in the shower, only in hand basin, after the first night. Maintenance was supposedly called in but still no hot water by the time we checked out 2 days later. ☹

Very clean and the room was neat as always.
Location and parking is excellent.
The pool and lounges very nice
The restaurant .
We booked for dinner the table area for our location was perfect.
Unfortunately the meal to a very long time to arrive and one of the children's meal did not arrive until we asked about it.
The food and menu was very disappointing
Over priced and not good value .
4.3
Great location, large rooms with comfortable beds. Helpful and friendly staff.
4.3
Great location, walking distance to lots of restaurants and next to botanical garden. The staff was very responsive when I asked to change rooms. Also very patient with questions and directions. Loved that the windows opened. Tablet very easy to use. Loved the alarm function and sound options I was into the classic traditional look, although it's not for everyone.
Would have liked a higher floor. Food expensive. Needed more variety in late night menu, also more dessert choices. FYI a popsicle is not a dessert, doesn't matter if you give it a fancy name. Some of the finishes showed their age or minor damage.
4.3
Location fantastic.
Hotel is olde worlde elegant.
The only minus would be that the carpets in the lifts are a bit worn and stained.
The breakfast is too expensive.
4.3
electricity short circuit when one power point was used. the room wasn’t ready when we wanted to check in and the room was small
4.3
Very comfortable and pleasant stay. Room was very clean and we enjoyed a lovely delicious dinner at the restaurant. Great location and close to everything in the city, right opposite the Botanic Gardens.
4.3
- clean and comfortable room
- good facilities, E.g gym, pool
- good location, can walk to many places
4.3
Location is great being opposite the Botanic Gardens. It is a lot quieter than some other hotels that are near the busy freeways. It is only a 10 minute walk to Queen St Mall. Parking was $20 which is about the cheapest around for a hotel.
The rooms flooring needs updating as does the elevators flooring. Regarding the parking, I dont believe there should be a charge for parking at any hotel. We live on the Sunshine Coast and travel regularly to Brisbane for events. Being locals we will drive whereas interstate and overseas visitors will not always have a car. I believe locals should not have to pay if hotels want to attract locals to stay in Brisbane.
4.3
Spacious and well decorated, modern room. Loved the carpet! Comfy king bed and good bathroom. Restaurant and bar on site, and great location for walking anywhere in the CBD.
Maybe a couple of hooks in the bathroom for hanging hand towel etc.
