Beautiful garden setting by the sea, Tepanee is an attractive option for those looking for a more peaceful stay near the main beaches. The rooms were lovely (during my five days here, I stayed in both, the standard room and the ocean deluxe - both very nice) and I had a comfortable, happy stay. The views from the oceanside bungalow were especially beautiful, but I could also see the sea from the standard room balcony, which was a nice surprise! Good to get free drinking water refills and to have a kettle in the room. Food at the Italian restaurant was tasty. It was nice to see the reef regeneration project and a few baby blacktip sharks snorkelling off the beach.
It was disappointing that Tepanee resort couldn’t offer anything at all for breakfast if getting up before 7:30am for diving, even when asked the night before. There were other resorts in the area that gave sandwiches and fruit etc for their guests to take away with them - a similar gesture would have been nice, especially given the higher price range of the establishment.
Pillows in my second room were lumpy and bulky - but this got sorted out quickly after I requested replacement.

Spacious room in a quiet resort. Beautiful beach! Well equipped, clean and pleasant. Guarded, close to the sea.

I really loved my stay here, wish it could have been longer! The location is amazing, with a private beach and beautiful property. You can swim with the baby sharks at sunset. The Italian food at the restaurant was also amazing!

It was such a pleasure to stay at Tepanee. The quiet location, the aesthetic of the homes and landscaping, the delicious food at the restaurant, and the beautiful sunsets every evening enjoyed from the adjacent beach. Bravo to the owners, who take great care of the place, including the ongoing reef regeneration of the surrounding waters.

The resort is in a quiet area of the island, right at the beach where you can have an amazing experience snorkling in turquoise waters and in the evening have the best view of the island on the sunset. The room was spacious, very clean and equipped with all we needed. Andrea. the owner, wss very kind and always there to help without even having to ask. All in all, the place was a piece of paradise for us and we would absolutely book this hotel again!
Nothing at all, can recommend 100%

The owners are managing a coral restoration project in the waters of the resort beach. You can find several fishes and even baby white tip sharks while swimming there, truly a fantastic and unique experience. There is a great beach bar/restaurant with delicious food. The room was comfortable, very clean and with small balcony where I could see the sea. The owners are very kind and friendly. Loved every bit of this stay! Definitely going back!

This is a beautiful property. The rooms are simple, but have everything you need. The location is great and we enjoyed the small private beach. The restaurant was good. We ate dinner there twice. We appreciated the staff helping us book a day trip and also taking care of our laundry. We highly recommend this resort.
There were a lot of steps. Steps to your room, steps to the beach. I am 70 and struggled with all the climbing up and down.

a perfect location next to the sunset beach and where you can snorkel
the loud music surrounding the hotel. but it’s not their fault.

my second stay at this resort and found it to be as good as the first time, room spacious and clean with beautiful surroundings, can only highly recommend staying at this resort, staff are super friendly and warm, great location and short walk to dive shops
nothing not to like

amazing place according to the sunset
good kitchen
acceptable houses
best spot on the island to snorkel
the owner is amazing lady
best sunset spot
close to all the restaurant
really good place to stay
i didnt like the stuff at all
first day we ordered massage in one hour we should got back for the session but we got lost on the amazing beach
i informed stuff about that to move a lil bit hours - they told we have to do it 2 hours before
- how we can fo it 2 hours before if we booked just one hour and nobody told us about that policy
- is not hilton resort and we have been told that there are many open spots to move the schedule
1500 peso that we lost is not the issue of course - the issue is that stuff didn’t want to help with the situation - is just question of customer service
same with restaurant service - we were ordering good bottles (1k / 2,3k ) but in the ens stuff was not even bringing the candle to the table or was taking money with poker face without even adking how is everything did u ilke etc
so is just about being friendly with customers who enjoying the premises but not the service;(
wifi is ok speed talking it works really good in restaurant but for example im my room was working than not working but dfntly not the worst(iphone 13 pro max / macbook pro 16’ 2023 so problem was not in my devices)
last thing air conditioning - unfortunately the air wave hits exactly your face and u can do nothing about it

Fantastic coral restoration work is being done by the nice Italian owners of Tepanee, within the bay of the resorts own private beach. When snorkelling we saw some black tip reef sharks, an eel, starfish & lots of fish. Lovely peaceful rooms with incredible views. Air-con & fan not noisy & there is hot water in shower. Fall asleep to the sound of the waves only. Great menu in restaurant too. Well done to all who work on the coral restoration, this work is greatly valued by all tourists as good snorkelling is an additional activity to the incredible open water diving on Malapascua.

Great value for money deal compared to the other offers. I really appreciated how kind and gentle were the staff and the owners. The facilities are really new and awesome. i really appreciated the access to the private and protected beach where you can enjoy wildlife much more than anywhere else on of the island

Beautiful, clean room with a gorgeous view. The owners were really friendly and helpful, making check in and out, easy. The food was delicious, by far the best we had on the island. Great snorkelling off the private beach. We would definitely come back to stay here again.

The location is nice.
I think in this price section it is incredible that the customer has to pay the Credit card charge or that only one coffee is included in the breakfast. Every question about this is answered, that are the rules.
We felt ripped.

It was clean and quiet
walking the stairs to and from the room , kinda far and tiring but overall was a nice stay

Staff were very helpful, the food was amazing and the black tip reef sharks made it worth the stay.
This place is meant to be a resort but everything extra you have to pay for even the water refill (which I haven’t anywhere else), the room was clean but no hot water, the wood on the celling was corroding which fell on our face as we slept and when we woke up ants were in the bed. For the money it wasn’t worth it. We stayed here for a bit of luxury but unfortunately didn’t feel that.

The location is lovely if you're looking for a peaceful stay on the island, whilst still being within walking distance of other restaurants/dive resorts etc.
Great western food here (though I'd opt for a local place for really great Filipino food)
Room was big and clean. Nice comfy bed and very quiet.
Make sure to snorkel in the protected area just next to the resort, we saw a ton of baby black tip sharks!
Not at all the fault of the resort, but do note that there are a few very young local kids selling souvenirs and offering to sing for money (this is everywhere you go).
I wish they offered the water refills for free to guests since it's not the cheapest place, so it would be a nice gesture (and encourage people to actually do it).

Excellent location, great value, very friendly and accommodating staff and awesome view.
Needs earlier breakfast time (8 am start is too late), coffee on demand and better screening of shuttle pick up drivers to and from Cebu airport. The driver who picked us up didn't have a sign up to let us know he was assigned to pick us up from the airport - so we couldn't find him, then on the way back, he charged us additional fees for stopping to eat. Tepanee Resort resolved the issue but in the future, should warn the drivers NOT to "extort" additional fees to tourists. I'm sure Tepanee Resort was unaware and dealt with the issue immeditely.
