Beautiful property! Rooms were clean and bed very comfortable. Service was exceptional and staff were so welcoming! Gorgeous grounds to walk around. Highly recommend booking afternoon tea it was the best we’ve ever had!
Nothing!
10.0
Beautiful setting with great facilities and close proximity to central Bath which has a fabulous array of restaurants and bars.
Although spread across a few buildings (with 30+ rooms) it feels like a boutique hotel with an even small number. Perfect for a weekend away, my girlfriend and I loved it.
Breakfast not being included always irks me! But appreciate that’s somewhat market standard

The location was good - short walk from the centre
Certainly not a 5 star experience: only basic tv channels - would’ve at least expected bbc news for a 5 star hotel, dated and dusty rooms, no fridge, non attentive staff (called room service multiple times with no answer), tiny pool and very crowded, sauna was hardly hot.
Overall extremely disappointing for a 5 star stay for one night costing £350

Very clean and comfortable in good location for walk into bath . Excellent service from all the staff, beautiful hotel well decorated and furnished .
Slept well , bed and pillows very comfortable. We had our room
Upgraded ( nice ) but felt we should have expected a room of this standard for what we paid .
Was quite expensive however a very good standard , cooked breakfast of restaurant standard rather than good cafe ( a little dry , poached eggs hard , addition of side of beans or tomatoes would of helped ) we chose to eat out for dinner due to prices . Spa facilities functional rather than luxurious .

rooms were very nice and we have been upgraded.
I was expecting more from the restaurant, spa and some people of the staff

quiet location, attentive staff, superb food, atmospheric. Great indoor swimming pool (also an outdoor pool in the Summer)
very pricey. First room was noisy - from kitchen extractor fan (6am to midnight). I changed rooms without a problem. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

kind of hard to find using GPS.

Location , spa facilities absolutely lovely
Great ambience
That it didnt have an ac in the room

The fine dining restaurant, food was amazing, although the service itself was not of the required standard. The causal menu was also very restricted, and impossible to order any sandwiches or alternatives that you would normally expect from a 5 star hotel.
Decor, AC, Staff nice but lack training or attention, propery urgently requires a refurbishment. They appear to be struggling to employ adequate staff as they close for the same two days every week.

breakfast and dinner was excellent

the staff were outstanding
would of been nice to have a breakfast buffet but we understood why

The food was exceptional, and the reception staff were kind.
For a five star hotel, we expected more.
The hotel could be more accomodating to dogs. They aren't permitted in the hotel spaces other than the terrace and room. The premium charged for a dog-friendly stay is not reflected in its accommodation.
We arrived on a rainy, cold Wednesday and were advised that we could only dine or drink on the terrace (due to having our dog with us). It would not have been a problem if we had warm and dry weather. Upon arrival, we noticed the poor presentation of the space; the cushions were piled high, cleaning products scattered around, and it looked like they weren't ready for service. Naturally, we felt disappointed and could not enjoy our drinks in the beautiful garden setting. The presentation of the area only improved on Friday. :-(
The room was spacious; however, it looked tired; the wallpaper was peeling away from the wall, and the bathroom needed regrouting.
However, the food was exceptional, and the reception staff were kind.

Room- was very clean and we enjoyed the complimentary paper.
Breakfast- staff were incredible attentive and very accommodating for my daughter.
Swimming pool- staff were very friendly.
The prices of the drinks are so expensive considering what you are paying.
There doesn’t seem to be any offers for what you are paying eg- Happy Hour or 2 for 1. For example a small glass of Rose is £11 whilst the cheapest bottle of wine is £40. This is really expensive considering what we have already paid.
