The accommodation was clean and well presented. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pools were clean.
Nothing to do with the accommodation. The food wasn't as good in restaurants we have previously eaten at in Greece.
Mary Hotel and appts was great.
4.5
This hotel is close to the beach, shops, tavernas, and city of Rethymno. Very good location. Everything was nice and clean, the owners and staff was very hospitable.
There was nothing to not like, really, but I would be happy If i could find the gluten free bread on the buffet and the soy or almond milk due to dietary restrictions.

Centrally located, very clean. The staff are exceptional and very friendly. We didn’t realize until 2 days prior to our visit that our flight landed super early in the morning and we would arrive at the hotel around 2:30am, luckily our room had already been vacated and the staff were very accommodating and let us check in extra early, they even asked if we needed a snack before bed. The breakfast buffet was very good, a mix of western and Greek foods. A short 2 minute walk if that to the beach and all other hotels and restaurants!

From the moment we arrived the staff were amazing, we were at the same hotel 20years ago for our honeymoon and the hotel has had an update it still had a relaxed friendly feel. We stayed in one of the new suites and it was perfect. While we were there we were treated to a bottle of fizz and cake for my husbands 50th (we hadn't told them so a lovely surprise) . We had told the manager that we were celebrating our 20th anniversary and he was over the moon that we'd returned to celebrate it with them. We had another bottle of fizz and the room was decorated when we returned from breakfast on the day.

On arrival met by friendly staff eventhough it was about 1 am, offered a complmentary drink and helped with our luggage to the room. Large clean room over looking pool. Room is cleaned daily and fresh towels and bedding regularly. Close to all eating places, supermarket , bus stop , taxi rank and beach. Has 4 swimming pools (2 of these are for children) A relative came to join us later on at the hotel and had booked into a suite ... wow , this was a great space perfect for a small family. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Thank you Mary Hotel.

Good variety of food. Welcoming stuff and welcome drinks. Large parking nearby. The sea is within 5 min reach.
A bit too noisy with a late night party in the garden.

Super customer focus - always ready to help; friendly and quick to respond. Excellent facilities and close proximity to beach / other services.
nothing at all.

Nice large comfortable rooms which were cleaned every day. Staff were really helpful and friendly.
We didn't book for breakfast but it looked really good.
I was left a lovely gift of local olive oil from the staff.

Wonderful friendly staff. Very welcoming and warm. Great breakfasts every day. Fantastic swimming pool, in fact two of them. Comfortable room and balcony to sit out on for sundowners or supper. Good, big shower room.
Close to the beach and good local restaurants.

Beautiful space lovingly maintained. Spacious, modern apartments. Lovely peaceful shaded patio where you can enjoy hotel breakfast, or drink at hotel bar in evening. Family and staff so friendly and concerned you enjoy your stay. 2 minute walk to beach!
Nothing! It is perfect ...

Mary Hotel and Mary Royal Suits has great location, only 5 minutes away from the beach. We cannot fault them at all. The room was lovely, modern and always clean. The bed was extremely comfortable with high quality mattress and covers. Towels and hotel complimentary cosmetics were also good quality. Outside of our room was lovely patio area to dry your towels and swimwear. With sun loungers and pool right there too. Amazing lit up pool adds the wow effect to the room. Owners and staff was friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. We've received lovely welcome and good bye drink and homemade olive oil as a goodbye present. We are definitely coming back as this is one of the best hotels we have ever visited. They deserve an extra star 🌟.
Nothing.

I was looking for a perfect hotel for our vacation and I'm beyond happy with my choice.
Rating on booking.com or tribadvisor.com is not always accurate but when it comes to Mary hotel believing in other's experiences paid off.
I tend to be very critical (my fiance would roll her eyes right now) but in this case there is almost nothing to point my finger at. Mary hotel is a beatiful place with amazingly kind and helpful staff.
There is a pool with sunbeds where anyone'll find a place. Even if the hotel's crowded you'll always find a place to have a drink.
The location of the hotel is absolutely great - beach is 5 minutes away, nearest shops and restaurants are also few minutes away.
If you want to visit Rethymno it'll be 15 minutes car ride.
Beach is clean and lovely - and really long if you're looking for some peace.
Sunbeds and umbrellas are avaible (2€/1day/for 2)
There are 2 things I was not entirely pleased with:
1) shower gels and creams are not refilled (at all)
2) breakfasts are the same every single day - so if you're planning on staying longer than a few days (10 days like us for example) you'll be kind of fed up by the end.
To be objective there is plenty of food for you to choose from and in my experience I've never been to a hotel with such a good breakfast.
There is always something to improve - just not really at Mary hotel. We were more than happy with our experince.
PS: As a gift we got a bottle with an olive oil and a goodbye letter. (Unfortunately we were not able to take it, we only had a hand luggage). Makes you feel nice though.
PS2: Hotel bar is open till 00:00 - our last night there I was pretty sad about leaving and got a drink at 1:45.
We would like to thank all the staff of Mary hotel for an amazing vacay.

Overall cleanliness, good location, service, good swimming pool
Nothing to point out.

Welcoming on arrival was very friendly and Konstantin proved his barista skills by making us perfect cappuccinos as welcome drinks.
Also, we got good tips for local restaurants and Konstantin gave us great tips for places to visit.
Furthermore, even though we stayed just one night, we got also a small gift of an extra virgin oil from a local olive oil producer, which was a nice gesture.
Best hotel on this trip!

I loved the staff and how accommodating they are, how very lovely and caring, I loved the location. They went out of their way to come and see me when I wasn't well, carry my case to the vehicle which was a little distance away and generally very happy and helpful. Exceptional service. Would definitely go again.
I hadn't realised breakfast was an optional extra. It was very pricey. It should have been explained

Everything was perfect, thanks hosts for great stay

Very nice hotel with very comfortable beds and everything you may need to spend over a few days there. Small but complete kitchenette. Very friendly and kind staff. Close to the beach and the supermarket.
Nothing about the hotel. It is 3 to 4 km away from downtown Rethymno. Not bad, but traffic can be chaotic and it is difficult to find free parking. The beach is typical from northern Crete, a little bit stony.

Staff were very attentive and friendly, and the amenities worked perfectly for us. The room was comfortable, bright and clean, and the location very convenient: close to shops and supermarkets. The beach was within a five-minute walk. We hope to come back one day!

The room was very clean and beautiful, the staff was kind and helpful and the breakfast was delicious!
4.5
The hotel is very nice, clean, the room was spacious. Wifi works well. The staff was really kind and helpful. The room is more or less equipped with everything (didn't try to cook there, though). They have a nice bar at the pool, nice atmosphere. Breakfast was also good, nice variety. The bus stop is around the corner (2 minutes by foot) that take you to Rethymno. There is also a cool tourist train. The beach is also like 2 minutes walk and the main street has a lot of nice restaurants, shops, etc. A supermarket is 5 minutes from the hotel. So eventhough it is more outside of Rethymno, you can find everything you need in short walking distance.
The room was a bit loud. Our window looked on a small street, which had surprisingly lot of traffic during the night.

- everything looks like qutie new inside and outside the buliding we were in, keep in mind that hotel also has an older part
- nice swimming pool area
- good quality cozy apartment located on the basement level, so it did not heat up too much during the day, even with the climate switched off
- very good buffet breakfasts
- nice and helpful staff, we got a very good recommendation of the restaurant we used every day
- good value for the price we paid
surroundings itself is rather very touristic and to be honest it's not pretty, however you can get to Rethymno centre pretty quickly
- the nearby beach is not pretty either
We were aware of this before our arrival and we do not lower our opinion for this reason. I would just like to point this out to other visitors. We
treated the hotel as a starting point for nearby places worth seeing.

Modern spacious room.
Very friendly staff!
Lovely breakfast with a variety of food.

The whole staff was incredibly professional and kind.
Especially Aggelos was awesome! He fixed up our daughter who had skinned her knee like a pro and also took great care of me and my family when I was bleeding from my head like crazy on our last night.
Our room in one of the newer buildings looked just as beautiful as in the pictures.
The newer pool and the kids' pool is very nice, too.
There were exactly two VERY sharp corners in our two-floor room: One in the bathroom window and one on the lowest step of the stairs. But I'm sure they will put some sort of protective layer over it or something now, since I hit my head pretty badly at the bathroom window in a stupid freak accident and had to get stitches in hospital...

Beautiful room, big bed and super comfortable. I would come back for a longer stay. Adorable staff. Recommend!

This was already our 2nd stay here - and we can really recommend this hotel: all the staff -and especially the owner family- are very nice people, and they are extremely helpful whenever you have a question or need informations about Crete and the places to go ...
I'm sure that we will stay there again !
