Friendly and helpful staff. Pleasant room with picturesque outlook. 1st class breakfast choice.
Check out was a bit early which made for slightly awkward timing for changing into wedding finery. However no complaints as the staff juggled their cleaning schedule to find us a room where we could change after breakfast. Top marks all round!
4.3
Very accommodating. Was at a wedding and needed an early check in which was catered for.
4.3
Lovely quiet village location. Good breakfast choice. Handy for M6. No cafes or pubs open in the evening. Had evening meal at Stepping Stones which is walkable in 15 minutes via rough footpath across fields.
Shower very cramped.
4.3
Spacious well equipped room, and great breakfast.
Slight smell of damp in bathroom

lovely location good parking
great communication with staff over later check in
Bathroom had a blocked sink and the shower was difficult to get to the right temperature, scalding hot or cold until 10 minutes of messing about.
Room was very hot although a fan was left in room but it was broken and had to be propped up.
4.3
Excellent room. The staff were brilliant. I had to check out very early, so I couldn't stay for breakfast. The lady who booked me in, offered to leave sandwiches in the room so I could take them with me. Really appreciated.
No negatives to report

Breakfast was excellent, service too, and the staff were attentive without being intrusive. The room was a good size and in these very warm conditions cool. Everything we needed was on hand and we were even surprised that the room was serviced between days of our stay. All in all a very plesant experience, we'll be coming back.
Due to our own time constraints, we only had time to stay for a couple of days and nights. We should have stayed for longer!

location
you could hear everything from the room above so didn’t have a good night sleep from stomping feet to conversation.dressing table with no plugs around it so had to stand up at the other side of the room to do my hair.couldn’t have a proper shower as it was either boiling hot or freezing cold.

Scorton is a quaint village on outskirts to Trough of Bowland and The Priory is a characterful, historic building occupying a corner on the main road. Rooms are pleasant, clean and provided the accommodation and cost we wanted. The attached cafe was busy at lunchtime on arrival and provided a reasonably priced menu with variety and quality to our taste. The next mornings included breakfast was enjoyed by all of our party. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout stay. Can imagine that The Priory provides a great base for walkers/cyclists looking to explore the area and was convenient for the event we attended at the local Wyresdale Park venue.
It’s an old property and decoration/amenities are in keeping with its nature. Don’t expect modern, enjoy it for what it is.

Excellent breakfast. Choice of cerals/ fruit, followed by own choice of cooked items. Pleasant and prompt service.
Room was "made up" during our stay which was a bonus. Plenty of off-road parking. Quiet location.
Could not connect to WI-fi but this was only a minor issue.

Staff were amazing.
Very good breakfast.
Booked for my mum.
Steep staircase.
Think it was a bit stressful getting in late at night.
Tricky to find the key at night in the rain.

The Priory team were super helpful, attentive and friendly. The ploughman's platter was delicious and just what we needed after a long journey. The breakfast is excellent. Scorton itself is a lovely little village, and looked extra nice at Christmas. The walk around the churches was peaceful and scenic even after dark and during the daytime the local amenities are on your doorstep. The location is also great as it's so close to the motorway. We enjoyed our stay so much we've already stayed again.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of parking. Great breakfast. Nice village location
The room wasn't as clean as it could have been.
It wasn't possible to fill the kettle in the tiny sink as it wouldn't fit under the tap, so when I used the bathmat to mop up the water that had sprayed everywhere I realised how dusty the floor was behind the bin. Towel rail was pretty dusty too.
Friends were booked in for the same who nights - their room and bathroom were much bigger and we had paid the same price, so felt we had paid too much for our room. Our bathroom was so small you had to do a sidestep to shut the door to be able to get to the toilet.
There was no chest of drawers in the room, just small units with tiny drawers and most of them wouldn't open.

Good location near to our wedding venue.
Comfortable and clean
staff very helpful
