Excellent breakfast, really comfy bed and friendly staff. Our room was cleaned and serviced every day at no inconvenience to us. The location is in the middle of an old estate, making it unique and very picturesque. The gardens are beautiful, free entry for those staying at the hotel, there was a small charge for the tour of the castle which was excellent.
Guaranteed parking, the car park is small and there are no lines, mainly the fault of inconsiderate guests who parked badly leaving large gaps between cars and no room for everyone. I don't want to complain about anything, if I was to be really picky, the shower was not very powerful but didn't prevent our enjoyment.

Our visit to the Boars Head exceeded all our expectations. The property was clean, historic and oozed character. It is situated in a delightful Yorkshire village which on it's own is well worth a visit. The bar meal we purchased on the evening was great value for money and very tasty. As for the breakfast, well we were spoiled for choice but settled for the full English and the portion sizes and quality deserve a special mention. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Overall ten our of ten, can't wait to make a return visit. Well done the Boar's Head

We stayed here for a couple of nights. Excellent pub / inn with restaurant with enjoyable nature walks & the historic Ripley castle on doorstep. Fantastic & divine Ripley Ice cream store opposite which is worth a visit. There is also a Convenience store selling sandwiches etc. Bus stops directly outside for excellent, reliable & envious bus services to Harrogate & Leeds ….
The accommodation is first class & the breakfast menu has many options to suit all preferences. Staff are very friendly & helpful. Can’t fault it at all.
None whatsoever.

Friendly welcome. Sufficient parking. Great small village where we stayed. Good size room. I had to do some work, could stay in the breakfast lounge for some time, well organized.
4.3
Lovely welcome on arrival.. nice friendly staff and lovely comfortable rooms
Food in the restaurant is amazing
Very handy location for access to harrogate and ripon
Bar prices are a bit steep for normal beer and a rose' wine

Dining room/breakfast room was lovely and comfortable to be in. We had dinner on our first night and the food was delicious. My main wasn’t very hot although the dish was. I told the waiter he apologised and I was brought a completely new meal very hot. The waiter couldn’t do anymore for us, we were offered free desert because of what had happened by the chef.
Breakfast was lovely the array of cereals, fresh fruit salad, fresh pastries and more. There was a hot breakfast menus on the tables. The hot breakfast was lovely and the breakfast staff were great.
There was nothing we didn’t like.

Beautiful place sat in middle of the castles estate .lovely quiet place with a distillery, clothes/gift shop and country store. Castle and grounds a few yards away and well worth a visit.
Boars head was so comfortable, huge beds good food and wonderful staff.
Blonde lady on reception from ripon was exceptionally nice and took the time to recommend places to visit
Ripon and harrogate are easy to visit with a bus stop literally on the doorstep of boars head.
Both interesting places with plenty to do , or stay on bus to Leeds...easier than finding parking
Cannot think of anything not to like . Some may say its a little tied looking but it adds to the ambience of being an old building

A very pretty and quiet location. The rooms were located away from the pub and restaurant so it was quiet and very comfortable. Cafetière provided for a decent coffee in the room and a tea pot for the tea. Easy parking. Excellent food and service. Close to Harrogate.

It was a very spacious clean room with little luxury items like fantastic tray with lovely biscuits, good tea coffee and sugar. With a cafetiere which was a nice touch. Slow closing toilet nice shampoos ect. Outdoor space for sitting having your coffee or a drink from the bar if weather is good. Staff were wonderful especially Donna who couldn't be more helpful. The breakfast was superb eggs Benedict delicious. Can't fault the place.

Lovely accommodation in a beautiful village. Spacious, comfortable rooms with lovely size en-suite and a real bonus that they accept dogs which was the purpose of our stopover stay from north - south.

The food was really nice, the staff were lovely, the bed was very comfortable.
The bathroom in the room we stayed in was old & tired, and could do with updating, the drinks in the bar were on the expensive side.

The room was spacious, the bed was really comfortable, it was very quiet. There was a bath as well as a shower. The dinner was excellent. At breakfast, the fruit salad was nice but a bit limited; we both had smoked salmon and scrambled egg - the egg was cooked to perfection.

Lovely location and beautiful old buildings, effortlessly adapted to modern needs of a hotel and restaurant! Also, a small point, but so nice to have filter coffee in the rooms plus choice of getting fresh milk!

Staff were very friendly and helpful and the setting is beautiful.
4.3
Beautiful location, perfect setting, great staff and excellent food
Stayed in the house opposite the hotel and had a very loud banging from shared front door entrance next to our room
4.3
Nice place, room was large with a fully accessible bathroom. Sadly only 1 proper chair, but another less comfy chair at the dressing table. Friendly helpful staff. Lovely food
TV was placed opposite the bed, so the only place to watch was from the bed. Not enough pillows for comfort. Food was v good but expensive. The door handles were set v low, as Limited mobility it wasn't easy for me to access the doors. Parking was not marked, just a courtyard, not as well maintained as it could be, potholes made using the facility painful.
