Good location, room clean
Heat pump in room didn’t work effectively.
Hotel parking limited and because we booked through booking.com parking fee not included. Had we booked direct with the hotel parking was complimentary.

We wanted to stay in an Art Deco Hotel and this did not disappoint. The location is brilliant - right across from the Bay, in the centre of town close to cafes, shops etc. The restaurant was good and the pub was pleasant. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it.
3.5
Great location and the hotel is full of character. Really comfortable room and the staff were very friendly. Loved the theming and would definitely stay here again.
The front door isn’t easy to find
There isn’t any hotel parking

Great hospitality sundar was lovely great service .
There was another receptionist/Porter after sundar left he made me feel uncomfortable from his invasive questions like where am I coming back from like he was my father his tone was very off , as I was entering back to my room . I felt very uncomfortable by him .

Went good.
Heatpump was noisy and temperature inconsistent.
5.0
Great location and beautifully styled hotel.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
They were just recovering from the damage caused by the recent cyclone so not all the facilities were open.
We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful art decco building, beautifully maintained in the decco style. The building and rooms were impeccably clean, comfortable beds and well equipped bathroom. Access to the roof terrace was an added bonus. The staff were very friendly, informative and helpful. When we return to Napier, we will definitely stay at the Art Decco Masonic hotel.
Maybe a better coffee maker in the suite and a second luggage rack.

3.5
good location and nice artsy hotel
the staff was not bad but had an attitude as if they are working at the queens palace and they are doing the most important job in the world. An air of superiority.

I was given a very small single room

Location, history
Lot of places bars restaurants had limited opening hours. Or only open weekends.
4.5
Beautiful Art Deco building. Very stylish and cool property. Steps from the beach, restaurants and shops. Very good breakfast.
Due to staffing shortages the hotel restaurant and bar were closed.
3.5
Very cool art deco hotel with pretty rooms
The balcony overlooking the promenade is a great place for afternoon drinks
The air con unit is on the roof and our room was right next to it - was extremely noisy so we moved rooms, which was marginally better
4.0
perfect location, beautiful architecture
room is very small; water pressure in shower was terrible
5.0
Great sized room and bathroom. Loved that the room led out to a common area balcony. Made seeing the blood moon much easier! Great proximity to dining options (if visiting earlier in the week and the on site options aren’t open).
I didn’t like that I didn’t book more than a night here!
5.0
An absolutely beautiful place to stay! loved the roof top and views of the marine parade.
