The team at the Swan are the best - particularly Laurie who went above and beyond to make our stay. incredibly friendly, helpful, kind and welcoming. Our dog Indy was so well looked after too.
The room was large with an amazing bath, coffee machine and comfy bed.
The food was so good that we ate in the restaurant every night too.
The pillows were a little hard.

The room was fantastic, the service was excellent and the food in the restaurant was amazing.

a little chilly in the rooms for December.

Great location, spacious room, comfy bed. Nice extras like the good coffee/tea and luxurious toiletries, large fluffy towels.
a strange humming noise outside my room during the night.
2.5
Nice village location
Bad service in the restaurant, food was not as good as expected,
I was put on a table, they waitress ordered our drinks and didnt come back for 40 minutes, I was with my 6 year old and he was bored, just when leaving the waitress came back and asked as anyone took your order, I said no and he gets bored and doesnt want to stay any longer and we have crisps for dinner! she said okay and walked off.
I had a bag of quavers on holiday for dinner
£160 a night for a hotel room you expect good service

Full of character , rooms a little quirky but very
comfortable. Super king sized bed , nice linen
and good pillows.
Very nice breakfast and friendly staff.
Dog friendly.
No shower cubicle in the bathroom or over the bath.

The staff - all so friendly and helpful. The food was very good and the decor tasteful.
Although the decor was good and the bed was very comfortable, I suspect that the interior designer doesn’t shave, nor read in bed - the lighting left a lot to be desired!
3.0
good breakfast
The kitchen fan outside the bedroom was left on all night -disturbed sleep.

The breakfast was delicious in lovely surroundings.
We booked our breakfast an hour before we had to leave for a Christening, thinking this would be more than enough time, in the end we waited quite a long time before the breakfast arrived and ended up rushing to finish. It was too delicious to rush!

Maybe I'm either very lucky or I'm pretty spot on at choosing hotels. From courtesy calls prior to my visit to the incredibly helpful staff to the food. Oh my god the food.
The loft room we chose was utterly stunning and incredibly clean. A just amazing mix of old world beams and modern convenience. The wet room was complete with a waterfall shower that I never wanted to get out of.
The staff couldn't do enough to help whilst giving space and making us feel very relaxed. They were all without exception fantastic. If you want to know how a hotel should be run from a service point of view this is pretty much it. We booked in late and in the morning my partner was asked how her mum's birthday celebrations had gone. I mentioned it briefly 3 or 4 days before when discussing our arrival time. That's the attention to detail.
The included breakfast was stunning and cooked to perfection. We decided to eat in the restaurant in the evening. Not cheap, but great value if you appreciate the idea that you get what you pay for. This was fine dining and without doubt the one of the best dining experiences I've had. Full stop. And I've eaten at some top restaurants.
If you plan to stay evan vaguely within the catchment area of this place please do stay here. I wouldn't want anyone to miss the chance of a special experience like this. I couldn't recommend this hotel more highly. Based on my experience, if you stay here you're in incredibly good hands.
That I had to leave.

I spent a night here over Easter. Lovely hotel with excellent food. The room was clean and very comfortable. At first i was disappointed that there wasn’t a shower but a shower wouldn’t be in line with the style of the hotel. So I thoroughly enjoyed a long soak in the bath.
The staff were friendly and very helpful.
Great veggie breakfast too.

Lovely room and comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast and friendly staff.
4.2
The room was very nice and the bath was big enough to lay out in, also the bed was hard, these two things were essential as my husband was suffering from a bad back at the time.
We planned to go out for dinner but the local pub was closed, so we stayed at our location and ate there, which we enjoyed.

Nothing, everything was good!

good breakfast.
nice food in the restaurant too .
going cashless and the bed and pillows in room 6 was quite hard. Also I could hear the music from our room playing downstairs early in the morning from about 7-00 am

The Hotel was absolutely great. We booked at quite short notice so had a smaller room than some but it had all the facilities required. A great Bar and Restaurant, we had Dinner in the evenings and a proper English Breakfast each morning.
The village was an absolute treasure with lots of unexpected shops. Driving around the countryside each day was also a treat.
Take care when entering the car park (quite narrow) but my fault though, should have retracted my wing mirrors!
3.5
Wonderful village, restaurant and excellent staff especially Lauren....menu and wine perfect!
I could see that the garden was very nice but sadly too cold when we visited
Room a bit noisy from road (ones at back probably fine), decor rather grey and dark - needs pops of colour/lighting and better sound proofing !
Room over hot and difficult to cool down!
4.5
Dinner was excellent plus breakfast most enjoyable.
There was little if anything to dislike.
4.5
Immaculate room
Delicious food
The guest rooms were close together so we could hear discussions in the corridors
4.5
We liked the breakfast and evening meal very much.
Parking was a little tight.
2.0
The location was good and the staff were friendly
The bathroom wasn't very clean. The hotel is "dog friendly" but this appeared to be limited to allowing dogs in the bar and giving some treats on arrival. Meals expensive.
4.5
Welcoming and helpful staff. Size of room excellent and bed relatively comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and it was quiet after the restaurant closed. There is a car park at the rear and plenty of space in the road outside if it is busy.
The main issue was the lack of a shower. Not everbody wants a bath and it would be nice to have the option of both. A minor point was the dressing table had no mirror so my wife had a little trouble adding her make up!
4.5
Excellent service and food. Very friendly staff
