Es un hotel con un bello jardín central, buenas vistas desde la terraza, excelente señal de WiFi y sobre todo un personal muy amable
Los alrededores no se perciben muy seguros y el parqueo durante el día es en plena calle

Beautiful antique furnishings in a charming courtyard setting. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were obliging and friendly. This shower had awesome pressure and the bathroom was spacious and very clean. A beautiful space to retreat from those rainy afternoons in Antigua

it’s very authentic. well maintained. the value was excellent. good food and beauty and history. it does require more taxis but if you like to walk I’d highly recommend it.

-Clean and cosy place with warm charming interiors
-Amazing helpful staff who tried their best to accommodate for special requests
- The location is closer to the hills, slightly away from the major noise, which is what we looked for. Either way, everything is within walking distance

Very nice hotel and the staff was very helpful
It is not near the center so it helps if you have a car

Very nice, classic hotel. Rooms are accessible from inner courtyard. Room was clean, functional, historic, with good bed, with hot water with good pressure, windows, etc. Staff (staffed 24x7) was very friendly and great accommodating an early breakfast (7 a.m.) and had good coffee. I was able to park my motorcycle inside their parking area even though the neighborhood seemed safe (and they had working security cameras watching the street and entrance). Definitely recommend.
Wi-Fi was pretty bad (probably not a hotel but Antigua/Guatemala issue). Couldn't do much more than basic email or messages. Not a "remote work" option IMHO. Also, how loud or quiet things are depends on other guests... had a family arrive around midnight and it sounded like a herd of elephants were trampling through my room.

We highly recommend Hotel Candelaria! Not only was it really beautiful, the room was very clean and the breakfast was delicious, but also the staff went above and beyond to help us with whatever issue we had! The transfer from the airport went smoothly, they called museums and travel agencies for us to book tours and shuttles even when we had to rearrange, the owner once drove us to a place because it was raining so much, they offered tea when they noticed we had a cold, and the entire staff was incredibly nice. This is a great place to stay in Antigua!!

The hospitality was excellent. Everyone on the staff went out of their way to accommodate us. This was an authentic Tipico Guatemalan experience from the breakfast to the rooms and the beautiful rooftop views. The shower was a good size with regular hot water, which sometimes in Guatemala can be an issue. A very special place.
The beds were pretty hard, which is not suited for my back, and you need to know that this place is pretty remote in Antigua in the Candelaria area of town. Uber rides to the square area and restaurants were needed. There are a couple of beautiful coffee shops nearby next to the small ruins in Candelaria.

They have very much kept the old style, which is what Antigua means - ‘old.’
You can hear the other guests and sometimes at night, you can hear dogs barking for ages.

I simply adore this property since the moment I walked in and how very welcoming and helpful the employees are. The infrastructure of the place is what caught my attention. It reminds me of a Spanish Catholic Church from the decorations and the texture and paint of the wood was just beautiful and antique like.
Our room was upgraded which we were very thankful for that and it felt even much better that we were the only guests in the property for 4 days. Our room was clean and peaceful with a beautiful view of the terrace. Fyi, they don't have air conditioning but they have fans and it gets pretty cold at night and still breezy in the day. The roof top view is AMAZING!! You can see the view of the 3 volcanoes that surrounds Antigua which is Agua, Fuego & Acatenango. The free breakfast was really good! We look forward to it everyday. They also have a purified water kinda like dispenser were you can refill your water bottle which was definitely a plus. The hotel is a 15 min walk to Downtown but you can take the Moto taxi. There is also a small corner store literally next door if you need a glass of beer, snacks or hygiene products after a long day exploring the city. It is also close to Cerro De La Cruz, a 12-15 min walk. The view is breathtaking in the morning. You can see the aerial view of Antigua and the volcanoes.
The wifi was pretty slow and it barely reached our room but the employees made sure that it was taken care of but we were definitely not worried about that.

The hotel is located away from the main tourist routes but still central, so you can sleep peacefully but also get everywhere walking. There is a lovely rooftop with great views of the volcanoes and a pretty patio. The hotel is decorated in an old-school colonial style which I think is perfect for Antigua.
Everything was ok, the basic rooms only have a window to the patio so they can feel a bit dark or exposed (if you don’t close the window shuts).

beautiful hotel, quiet and situated a but outside the center but still walkable to the central square.
I jusy loved it here, recommend the room on the rooftop, where you can see 360 all volcanos and just feel like you are in paradise!
nothing!
