Raniban Retreat was the best of the 6 locations we have stayed at during our 18 days in Nepal. The location is perfect; close to the city but far enough to be very peaceful. The views are absolutely spectacular, the food was great and the (new) sunset view rooms the best we’ve had. There are some very nice walks from the hotel, to the Shiva Statue, to the Pagoda and all the way to the lake side. They also had just started the sunrise yoga sessions on the roof with Master Ganesh. Very special. Most of all, the people were super friendly and helpful. We should have stayed longer than the 5 days we did.

The location was the best part about the property.
The hospitality was the cherry on the top, the staff were extremely kind and extremely accommodating.
The food was also really great.
The pool was nice, however, the upkeep could be done better.
4.2
* The Location - on top of the hill amongst the cloud, completely isolated, quiet and once in a lifetime view.
* The Staffs - just great, superb helpful and ready to take care.
* Beds in the mountain view room are too small, hard to sleep two person. There's no cabinet in the room - hard to keep clothings. Bathroom is too small, hard to move around. Room does not meet the value for money.
* Swimming pool is dirty, not properly cleaned.
* Food choice is limited and too expensive.

山上环境非常好,工作人员态度很好,食物也很好吃
酒店门口的那段路太颠簸了
4.2
The location is over the top - like you are walking on the clouds. Best panoramic views
4.2
Breakfast options were limited
4.2
Food is amazing. Great place to break away from the daily life and relax for a minute.
4.2
Rooms are outdated a lot and not too clean.

Firstly, what made our stay memorable was the staff - Raj and Bicky! Par Excellence! Secondly, the property gives you serenity and tranquility away from hustle and bustle. The view is fantastic, provided weather is clear! The meals are fresh, well prepared. The quality of toiletries provided were good as well. WiFi was good considering hilly location.
There were no cupboards or storage space. Would have wanted a larger one bed as chose a premium mountain view room. The fact of day is that on average when one is paying 4 times the amount compared to downtown locations, the expectation is bit more precise!!

The View from the Room
4.2
beautiful views, great staff (helpful and very polite), great Nepalese food with other options. location excellent fir walking to Peace Pagoda and Siva temple.
bed a little hard.
4.2
The majestic view of Annapurna range and Pokhara city view from the Roof top and rooms of the hotel. The manager and the staff are also very nice and warm. The food is very good too.
Nothing, however, it would have been better if the hotel could provide the transfer shuttle free from the Pokhara city. The hotel its bit far from the city and at the top of a Hill.
4.2
Fantastic location with a stunning panoramic view of the mountains.
4.2
The view.

The view from this retreat is the best I’ve ever experienced. Absolutely incredible views in the morning to wake up to. staff were amazing, especially Raj! Peaceful locowith amazing wildlife around.
It’s a little far from Pokhara Lakeside but that’s what gives ut the oeacefulness. taxis are not too expufrom the retreat and the staff will book one for you no hassle.
4.2
The view is exceptional.
Everyone at the property is very helpful.
They went above and beyond to fulfil our needs.
Special shout out to Raj for making our stay so enjoyable.
The site manager booked us our next hotel
because we were having difficulty doing it,
we really appreciated the gesture.
The bedsheets weren’t clean.
The way to the retreat is still under construction.
The location is inconvenient if you planning for a short stay.
4.2
The view from the roof top was unparallel, during the night time it is like an a sea of stars and during the day time we had a spectacular show of the clouds and beautiful scenery. The staff were super friendly and hospitable and ensured we had everything we needed.
The climb up to the hotel from the road is just so arduous, felt like an actual trek up a mountain.
4.2
The staff is very kind and available, especially Raj.
The views are incredible with beautiful rooms
Unfortunately the way up and down is around 1200 steps, which it’s not ideal but the views are amazing
4.2
View from the cottage and the staff was exceptional.
The food was quite homely just like we wanted and they even customised to our requirements.
The accessibility to the location is difficult because road construction is still in progress
4.2
The view and the helpfulness of staff
The location. It was quite difficult to reach the property with very limited access to utilities
4.2
Amazing location. I bit difficult to reach, but once you are there you won’t regret the view. I guess it’s the best view you could get in Pokhara. Food was good. Staff where extremely accommodating and friendly. Must take the Mountain View room
Washroom overall can be improved. Also we found giant spiders in the room and outside. Need to do something about that for at least inside the rooms.
4.2
Staff is excellent… especially Pradeep and his team
Sometimes hot water can be a slight issue
4.2
The property was near the Peace Pagoda , away from the hustle and bustle of Pokhara. The food was excellent. The staff were super helpful.
The road to the property was terrible. Parts of the property were under construction. The amenities were sparse for the price we paid. We were hoping that there would be a spa available.
4.2
best view, very quiet place
4.2
the view is amazing
wifi was weak and the way up is very bumpy
