Schönes Hotel ohne Frühstück in ruhiger Lage

Kleine und feine Anlage direkt in Puerto Viejo. Ruhig gelegen mit weniger als 10 Minuten Fussweg zur Hauptstrasse bzw. Meer. Sehr schöner gepflegter Garten. Jedes Zimmer hat eine Terrasse von der man in den Garten oder den Pool schauen kann. Gepflegter aber kleiner Pool. Große und schöne Zimmer mit guten Matratzen. Es gibt jeden Morgen und oft auch am Nachmittag frischen Kaffee. Super ist auch der hauseigene Wasserspender an dem man immer gekühltes Trinkwasser umsonst holen kann. Sehr hillfsbereiter Eigentümer. Pura Vida!

Es gibt kein Frühstück. Man kann zu Fuß in der Nähe in einigen Cafés frühstücken, dafür muss man aber jeweils schon gut 15$/Person einplanen. Das muss man fürs Budget berücksichtigen. Die Toilette im Zimmer ist nicht schalldicht.

Acogedor y relajante

La ubicación es una maravilla, llegas andando desde donde te deja el autobús. Las habitaciones son muy lindas y cómodas, un éxito que cuenten con aire acondicionado. El personal es muy amable y servicial.

Me gustaría que las puertas del servicio sanitario (el retrete) cierren bien para que no dejen escapar los olores, el resto muy bien.

Perfect location and super team

Perfectly located: you can get easily to the beach and into town with its vivid (night) life, but at the same time it's calm. We loved the vegan food options and recommendations close by and the swimming pool, from which we even got to see a sloth!

a magical setting on the caribbean coast

the hotel is perfectly located: close to the center and the sea, but a little set back and therefore very quiet; the hotel is run by an incredibly kind couple, extremely attentive and very accommodating; the room is very spacious, very comfortable.

Ubicación e instalaciones excelentes.

La ubicación y las instalaciones en general. La cama era bastante cómoda y la ducha estaba muy bien. El personal es muy atento y te ponían café y galletas de manera gratuita en desayuno y merienda.

Not bad accommodation, but has potential to improve

The hotel was clean and tight, swimming pool was there and everything else what they promise here in the booking

Reception was working only till 5 pm, the bed was a bit small for 2 people and not very comfortable, you could here all the noises from the toilet since it was open space between the room and and the bathroom.

Perfect in every way

Everything. The location was perfect. Really quiet down a small road but only a few minutes walk into the centre and all the restaurants. Felt very safe area and the room was quiet and really big. It was lovely to have the pool to dip into. We were room 12 which had no one walking past and could step right into the pool from it. Thought it was excellent value for money.

Fantastic

Indalo hotel is an amazing getaway. The perfect place to relax when you already had a long bus ride behind you or are facing a new travelday. The owner of Indalo immediately gave good tips to discover Puerto Viejo and surroundings. Punta Uva, Punta Cahuita and his favorite, reggaebar Salsa Brava, were visited by us. He arranged a tuktuk and made us feel very welcome. Our room was clean, bright and had everything what we needed. (Very comfortable beds as well!) We had a cosy terrace and had a view on the beautiful pool. We enjoyed our stay here and we’re very grateful for the hospitality and flexibility of the owner. (F.e.: When we already checked out, the owner let us still shower after our hike and gave us even new towels.) all the above taking in account, Indalo is worth 10/10.

Excellent boutique hotel in Puerto Viejo

Cool, modern, extremely comfortable and immaculately clean room . Everything works and the Air Con is perfect for a good night sleep. The room is well furnished in a modern style containing everything you could possibly require, including hair dryer. Large french doors lead out to a private sitting area several steps from the pool with views of the jungle beyond. From the pool you can see sloths, eagles and multicoloured bird life. The hotel is quiet and secure at night although the centre of town with restaurants and bars are only a short walk away. The hotel is well run and the staff are friendly, efficient and go out of their way to ensure you have everything you need. Gonzalo the owner is an excellent source of information as well as a genuinely nice guy. He even helped us with getting to our next destination. I don't generally write reviews but this hotel is a bit special and I highly recommend it for a visit to Puerto Viejo.

We would definitively recommend this place. They exceeded our expectaions. The room was beautiful, large with a minimalist interior, well furnished and very very clean. Also, Caroline the girl on the reception was amazing, very nice and highly proactive, she supported us with all our requests. Short trip to Puerto Viejo

Walking distance to the center of Puerto Viejo. The owners were very nice and helpful with tips of how and where to go. Very spacious room.

We had higher expectations due to the score in Booking but it was a pleasant stay anyhow.

Modern comfort on the edge of town. Perfect!

We loved our stay at Indalo! It’s almost in the centre of town but quiet enough to feel disconnected. Nicely decorated modern room with a terrace beside the pool. Air conditioning was excellent. Bed was comfortable. Fridge was very useful. Gonzalo was welcoming and helpful. The coffee and biscuits each morning was a nice touch. A three toed sloth visited on a couple of occasions - it couldn’t have been better.

Good but not really a ‘boutique’ stay…

Really good location, just out of the busyness but walking distance (5 min) to restaurants and the ocean. Loved the pool, cleanest one I’ve seen during our 3 week trip trough CR. Aircon worked well and was quiet. Rooms are cleaned everyday including fresh towels which was great. Rooms are big so lots of space to put your luggage. The fridge in the room was also a plus. In the morning you can get free coffee and tea at the reception, also there is a water dispenser for fresh filtered water available 24/7 which is good service! Also big plus that it’s adults only so no screaming kids in the pool :):):)

I was expecting a bit more ‘boutique’ but unfortunately I found the rooms a bit underwhelming… The rooms seemed a bit dated, for example the shower had lots of stains, an old and dirty soap holder and an old and dingy shower curtain. The lights in the room (except for one nightlight) were awful fluorescent lights making the room completely lacking any cosy atmosphere. The bed was the worst ever, old pocket spring mattress with a big dent in it making it extremely uncomfortable to sleep on (to be fair, we told the owner and he switched the mattress for our remaining nights which was good). The shower has hot water but an old shower head that’s half loose in the wall and with terrible water pressure so washing your hair if you have a lot of hair is a task. All in all I think it’s a bit of a stretch to call this a ‘boutique’ hotel. Still good, but in my opinion the rooms are lacking comfort and atmosphere to be anything more than good.

Superb

Great Location. Very clean and comfortable. Nice set up.

WiFi could have been a little better from the back rooms! I specifically chose this accommodation because I needed to work remotely. That aside I'd highly recommend it!

Very quiet, ideal for people want rest and relax. A lot of jungle around. There is a water filter in reception.

When we arrived the room was with a bad smell.
