Absolutely Everything, A Short Walk Away From The Party And Resturant Road So Peace And Quite To Enjoy The Wildlife Noises
Nothing, Really Enjoyed Staying Here
4.0 / 5.0
spacious room, quite place, 5 minute walk to the centre, Very nice owners and good value for money.
there was a thunderstorm and one of the trees fell down which broke the internet cable wire and the whole block did not have internet for like a day but not the owners fault.
someone stole our beer from the fridge and that was really annoying.

The owners of the hostel were superfriendly. Location was great, in a more quiet part of Puerto Viejo! The room and kitchen was really good for the price!

The position given in the description its not correct, the place is much more far away. I felt isolated.

The ambiance of the lounge area. The kitchen allowed me to spend less eating out. it’s tucked away off the main road. It’s quite and secluded; but still a short distance from main town and beach. The property also has bikes to rent. The staff was very available. It’s peaceful
No hot water

It’s location.
The corrugated metal roof and the thin walls; it was rather noisy.

Hosts were nice. Flexible with letting me stay for 2 nights, although I had booked 3 (therefore had to pay a bit more per night, what wasnt told me before)
Amazing garden, nice terrace.
When I arrived nobody knew about me and my room was not ready, it was already time for check in though.
As many others said, the property has to be maintained and cleaned. It could be a really beautiful spot, as the garden is amazing.
Guys next door made party until 4AM, I had to get up 2 hours later. Disrespectful guests are not the fault of the owner. But nobody cared about it.
It is more far away from town then expected, therefore you have lush nature around you.
3.0 / 5.0
It is centrally located in the village, you can walk to restaurants, bars and the supermarket. The room is relatively big.
The reception was kind of messy, there’s no real hostel/hotel feel. It’s not the cleanest, but in those terms you get get value for money. For a cheap stay with not too much hassle, it’s okay.

It's not far from the main street and the city. There is a really good breakfast bakery close, even though that one is quite expensive.
There was a water leak in the bathroom, and toilet paper wasn't being restocked.
Community areas and kitchen were quite dirty.
The owners hassled about payment in a very uncomfortable, scammy and rude way, as early as the first day upon arrival. There was nothing to confirm received payment. We wouldn't stay here again.

the location was amazing in the middle of the nature. the lady and the little daughter are extremely kind. the room was very big. amazing location just 5-7 minutes walking from the centre, we walked two girls alone even if it was night and we felt very safe.
shared space dirty. no hot water, but is normal in Costa Rica.

really lovely place I liked it a lot. Build around the nature and a quite place to hang out.

The garden is nice, no street noise but jungle sounds
Nobody takes care of the interior, the kitchen is catastrophic dirty, the steps in the garden are dangerous

Good price and good proximity to town
Mosquitos

It was a very cosy place and really close to town! Our host was super nice and helped out if we needed anything! She helped us point out a sloth in the tree above us :)
It wasn’t very clean, but the kitchen is outside so wasn’t expected to be the cleanest

Location was good and the staff Was really nice as well.
The room smelled like a sewage drain which made it really difficult to sleep and be in. Low standard on bedsheets, Beds and pillow covers, looked like they hadn’t been washed in a while.
Kitchen was also really untidy and unclean which made us not cook a single meal at the place.

It was in a quiet location and was ok for the price. Staff were nice. Not a horrible place but not great
Kitchen awasn't all that clean, the mattress was pretty bad and the sheets and mosquito netting would not stay in place

The owner was so nice with us.
There were a lot of mosquitoes inside the room, just one bed has mosquito net and the one in the window was broken. Everything was kind of old, broken, not well mantained.

The location is really nice, 8 minutes walk to Puerto Viejo center. Martin was excellent host.
When it rained, it flooded ALL the rooms and all of our stuff got wet, the flood was so big that even my car was flooded, now I have to pay more than $1500 to have it fixed because we were not warned by the owners how it gets in rainy season even though that’s not new to them, because according to the neighbors this always happens to Laura. The day we woke up flooded we did not even receive a text message from owner asking how everything was, if there was anything they could help us with or if we needed to stay one more night due to are car not working or anything at all. As of today, two days after our “check out” we haven’t received any message from the Hotel. On top that, there was a mosquito net in one of the bed that had two cockroaches when we arrived. When we took off the cover of the mattress of one of the bunk beds, it had one cockroach between the cover and the mattress.

Hostel bastante céntrico, el personal amable y atento. Habitación con 3 camas grande y cómoda.
Central location, nice and firendly stuff. 3 bed room is big and comfortable.
4.8 / 5.0
Laura was such amazing. Everyday we got some fresh fruits and cakes. One day it was raining that hard that everything was under water, but they did a great job and but all our stuff on the bed, that nothing was getting wet.
We loved to stay a bit away from the center, it was about 7minutes walking from the town and a bit in the jungle.
the mattress could be better, but this is just a luxery problem :)
2.5 / 5.0
Staff were lovely and friendly. The room was big and we'll decorated and we got free biscuits! Quiet and private. Cheapest price in the area.
The location was a little far from the main town. Was only really a problem when it was raining heavily. The communal kitchen was not clean (we didn't use) and the room was a little dirty
