Das Hotel würden wir nicht weiterempfehlen.

Die zentrale Lage in der Innenstadt am alten Hafen

Entgegen der vielen positiven Meinungen hat uns die Ausstattung der Zimmer überhaupt nicht gefallen. Das Zimmer wirkte wie eine Rumpelkammer mit übriggebliebenen Möbelstücken aller Stilrichtungen. Die gläserne, nachträglich eingebaute Dusche mitten im Zimmer passte da auch so gar nicht dazu und im schrägen Spiegel über dem Waschtisch konnte man sich kaum betrachten. Das Hotel wirkte sehr dunkel, das Personal war nicht unfreundlich aber doch sehr zurückhaltend und wortkark. Das Frühstück mit einer Etagere an jedem Tisch fanden wir etwas antiquiert, dennoch war es ausreichend.

Denkmalgeschütztes Hotel mit mittlerem Standard in guter Lage

Die ruhige Lage zwischen Hafen und Altstadt

Trotz Buchung schon vor Monaten wurde uns ein Zimmer ganz unter dem Dach mit 2 Matratzen auf dem Fußboden und der Dusche noch eine Treppe höher zugewiesen. Nach Weigerung, das Zimmer zu beziehen , der Auskunft, es wäre alles belegt und unserer Drohung sofort wieder abzureisen, war dann doch noch - nach Diskussion mit dem Inhaber - ein Zimmer im Erdgeschoss frei. Bei Buchung gleich das Zimmer "Wilhelm" unter dem Dach ausschließen! Selbst in einem denkmalgeschützten Gebäude ohne Aufzug kann ein solches Zimmer nicht zu einem Preis von ca. 130 Euro/Nacht incl. Frühstück vermietet werden.

Wismar ist eine Reise wert

Angenehme Größe des Zimmers, des Bades und der Dusche. Frühstück war sehr gut, auf Wünsche und Nachbestellungen wurde problemlos eingegangen. Gute Lage zur Innenstadt und zum Hafen. Einchecken online erspart Schreibarbeit bei der Ankunft. Es gibt einen kostenfreien Parkplatz am Hafen und wer die gut 7 min zu Fuß zum Hotel bewältigt, kann hier etwas einsparen.

Parkplatzsituation im Innenstadtbereich angespannt und kostenpflichtig. Sonst gibt es nichts Schlechtes zu berichten.

Denkmal that needs renovation

The location downtown Wismar, short walking distance to the city centre. Nice garden that was used to serve breakfast.

Only 4 parking spaces at the hotel for extra money, free parking available a quarter mile away. Very steep staircase to the upper floors. Cheap bed linen (plastic style) and mattress. Hotel is very old and needs a major overhaul. Some guests might call it romantic. Cracks in walls and stairs that are extremely out of level are signs that a building should be renovated.

If you are looking for something different, go there!

An amazing experience in a historic building, with extraordinary rooms, and perfectly located for a stay in the center of Wismar. Very nice and individual breakfast selection. Friendly and personal staff!

No problem for us, but one should be prepared for everything that comes with a stay in a historic building, e.g., stairs, or, as in our room directly under the roof, beds that one could not reach in a upright position.

Room over furnished. Shelves in the wardrobe prevent clothes hanging properly - some should be removed.

Very good

Room on the ground floor was excellent those used to modern hotel chains might disagree I found it wonderful; the location is great in easy walking distance of the harbour and the city centre. As I am disabled onsite parking was a welcome bonus.

Very friendly hotel, great location with (paid) private parking

Very close to the harbour and the old town. Good breakfast provided to table, not buffet. Quiet and a bit quirky.

Room was a little bit too dark, primarily due to the decor.

Nice retro style hotel

Charming retro style. Wonderful breakfast. Perfectly located.

Internet connection was terrible. Glass shower in the middle of the room. Little parking area with narrow entrance.
