Staff service is excellent.
Stayed here before and it was extraordinary clean. This time around floor weren’t swept nor mop as it needed mopping.

Amazing history of the hostel. There is also a nice cafe and an exhibition, which makes it very culturally attractive.
The bed was a bit too soft for us and we could feel the springs when sleeping on it.

The location which is near MTR and many eateries. The historical site and the museum. The spacious room and the big window that allows us to watch some birds.
The slode that we need to climb. The need to return bedsheets and towels when we check out with our luggage.

Good location to explore local Hk food, actually lots of bus from and to airport, which is hard to know for the newer ones.
Compulsory deposit by credit card or cash, which is impossible as my credit card is unavailable for some specific reason. And I just stay one night, so didn’t prepare cash as well. I thought mobility pay like Alipay or WeChat pay is advanced there , unfortunately administrator told me I can pay by WeChat but no refundable. Excuse me?
Even though I prepaid, no check in no deposit, debit card not acceptable at all. Only credit card or cash.
I spent over one hour to check in and slept four hours there just because the inflexible management rules.

With the museum / heritage of Mei Ho House next door this place is a perfect location to learn more about the "old" Hong Kong (HK) and how people lived in this historical building. The H-block is completely renovated with very big double rooms (for HK standards). Complete with kitchen facilities and a café. Also great location to explore the old neighbourhoods of Cheung Sha Wan and Sham Shui Po. Best traditional HK food is in Sham Shui Po. Two nearby mtr stations to easily navigate to other parts of HK. We love this place.
When we extended our stay with two more days we had to change rooms

This is technically a hotel run by the HK Gov't and therefore it is 'sealed up' like you cannot open the windows. It's all sealed up and the air con isn't that cold, either....so basically I melted to death.

It was my first stay at my hometown using booking.com.
I was quite worried but the check-in is as smooth as from abroad!
The room fits our family size and the beds are cozy and clean. The bathroom are neat too! Kettles, slippers and other common houseware are there too.
You will notice the hostel is full of art, especially the common area and stairs! There used to have a museum and guided walk at the hostel, it will be good to them reopened soon.
The smell of the room is not so good and windows cannot be opened. You have to look for a solution to clear the rusty moist smell in the first place..

Spaceous room and comfy bed.
Slow water drainage in the shower tray.
