We didn't have breakfast but the dinner was great. My friend is a vegan and I am a vegetarian and we both loved the food. So lovelyy to have a bag of wood delivered and a fire made for us upon our arrival during a rainy day. So surprised the kitchen was so complete-though we did not use it.
also the shower had great water pressure and hot water.

Location is sensational. The room we had, Amor de Piadade (I think), had a large patio with incredible views
Not much to do on a Monday as restaurants are closed

unique, beautiful, owner bent over backward to get us what we asked for (wood for fire—we were chilly). Fantastic!

Extremely beautiful location and design. A village frozen in time. Many lovely walking trails starting from village. Very clean room.

The schist village of Talasnal is an amazing experience, and staying in one of the renovated houses is an amazing experience. The house so unique, yet had all the necessities one needs.
There wasn’t a thing I didn’t like about the property, but a concern for anyone with mobility issues, to go to the bedrooms you have to go up and down very steep wooden stairs. This just should be noted.

The location for our hikes each day was perfect. The Schist Houses and mountains we share love of like the owners. Staff were all hard working and easy to work with for suggestions and questions
Stairs to loft were quite steep and stairs down to kitchen very narrow

We absolutely loved everything about our stay. Such a unique and beautiful experience. The food and service was unmatched. We have stayed at many resorts and hotel all over the world and this may be my best experience ever.
I loved everything about the property but if my husband was not there, I’m not sure if I would have driven up the mountain alone. maybe during the day but definitely not at night. I was so also glad we got an automatic car because a manual would have been more difficult for sure.

The place is a traditional schist house yet renewed and comfortable. it’s located in the beautiful village of Talasnal. very calm, perfect for relaxation.
The food in the taberna is tasty and decent price.
Perfect for 1/2 nights.

The rustic feel of the house. The property had all the basic facilities and more!
Amazing location, Structure and touches.
The musty smell when you enter the house for the first time. Maybe airing the house before visitors come would be a good idea
secondly, the bed dips in the middle so sleep was broken at night due to some discomfort.

I like so much Talasnal.

The remoteness of this place and the old buildings being renovated were fabulous. Wild pigs running around at night, a short hike down to a cold creek surrounded by forests.
It was a bit confusing how to find our room, but finally, we got clear instructions on how to find it. The renovation team makes some noise in the mornings, but hey, they're just doing their jobs.

Location is superb. The house has a lot of character. It is small, but it is sufficient. Bathroom is fine, with a good shower. the property is in an old village in the middle of the mountains., built from the local stones. There is no permanent occupation in the village. We liked the wood burner.
It is quite expensive for the simple accommodation and could do with a bit more TLC. The microwave could not be plugged in - as the power cord is too short. I had to move it and put it on top of the fridge. There is a nice wood burner in the property - which is the only heating, but there is no wood provided. It is also quite far away from the nearest supermarket - about 30 minutes drive. This is a holiday home, so it is empty (no food) and you'll have to stock up before you depart for the property. (There is a good size supermarket in Lousã.)
Perhaps the host could advise what is available, e.g. salt, pepper, cooking oil, what type of coffee cups are required for the coffee machine in the property etc, so it is clear what to buy from the supermarket.
