We rented the beach house. It is absolutely fabulous. The lodge and the view are amazing. Staff is most hospitable and helpful.

Very friendly staff in a very special and beautiful accommodation, with nice food and much nicer and interesting than what you read at Booking: it is a farm and they give you a tour and you can plant your own tree. There is waterfall and a short hike to a view point, but also they have nice games to play with the family- we enjoyed it very much!!!

Set apart on 120 ha, with hiking trails into the mountains, a spectacular overlook pirched atop s hillside with spaces to rest, a natural pool by a small creek, and access to a beautiful private beach, La Jorara offers a serene, lush, green and comfortable environment to just relax and unwind. It's accommodations are great and more attractive than the pictures show.

Beautiful property with a massive forest attached to it. Great for small hikes. Really friendly staff.
Location is a bit remote, though you can take the bus into town. Beach right by the hotel isn't great.

Very clean room with an amazing jungle view and private outside bathroom. The staff is also very kind and helpful, the food is very nice and the restaurant has many options (including a few vegetarian ones). Finally the surroundings are amazing : there are waterfalls and very beatiful natural swimming pools (you have to request a guide at the réception to help you correctly find the way), as well as a very nice private beach. The view from the mirador is also amazing. Thank you !
There are 3 to 4 adorable big dogs that can be barking in the early morning, earplugs can be useful as there are no « real » windows and so no real phonic isolation

This was one of the - possibly even THE best hotel experience of my life & I can’t wait to come back asap to this peace of PARADISE ON EARTH!!! 😍😍😍
Come here, if you are looking for:
- lush, virgin jungle meeting quiet, empty sand beaches
- rooms with showers/pools opening to the jungle or a bungalow directly ON the beach
- a beautiful experience sustainably immersed in the most beautiful nature
- amazing activities in the surroundings (Tayrona, river tubing, flamingos, …)
- privacy & quietude
- spending hours in a hammock high up in the jungle
- the loveliest, most helpful & attentive team 🫶
- being treated like a VIP 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Don’t come here:
- if you can’t live without the internet, because the connections in the whole region are not strong or stable. But honestly, you don’t need the internet, anyway. Just listen to the jungle & ocean sounds and immerse yourself in this amazing nature. 🌴
Thank you so much, everyone who made my stay so so special & unforgettable & see you soon!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Most of the staff was really nice (except one man).
I really liked that we got a personal tour through the area when we arrived (to the beach, the natural pool..)
Our maisonette room was very amazing - big, two floors, own terrace, big bathroom, nice details..
Ok-food - Cocktails need to be worked on!!!
Gracias for the birthday cake!!!!
You have to be aware that there is a big (!) construction going on until spring/summer '23 - unbelievable much noise because of the generators running from 7am to 3/4pm - we were so upset because it was nowhere mentioned and we payed a lot to stay in a quit area.. We weren't even offered a discount for this problems 🙄
Furthermore, there is a big (!) street next to the hotel and many busses/ trucks passing all day/ night - why hasn't no one mentioned this before in the comments??? 😳
Laundry: they offer an unfair system via piece and not kilo ( underwear/ socks cost as much as a dress?) - the only response we got from a man in charge "Go do it yourself if you are not happy" and went back to watching TV - when I asked another person for the manager he came back in a rude way and said "if you are not happy then leave" Luckily we got to talk to much nicer staff who offered a different room to us due to construction noise and in the end didn't charge us for the laundry since it took almost 48 hours (not traveler-friendly)

Beautiful, secluded eco-hotel, some 10 kilometers west of Palomino, with its own natural, refreshing swimming pool in a small brook and its own private beach. Swimming in the ocean is not easy - the waves are (too) challenging. In either case, water shoes are highly recommended. The property is large and very lush - it feels like you are in the middle of the jungle. If you don't drive and rely on public transportation, then it is important to note that the last buses from Palomino go around 7pm. We had dinner in Palomino till 9, and then went back by motorcycle - which was a great experience.
It is not a major con - but traffic on the close by highway, in particular the noice from buses and heavy trucks, may distort the idyll. Note, however, that most hotels and resorts are located next to the highway. Also, it is a bit off the beaten track.

The staff is super friendly and helpful with organizing tours.
Our family room was amazing and the food excellent. I can't say anything bad about this beautiful place.

Very scenic place. There is a nearby beach with a cumbersome access and a natural pool in the creek nearby.
The kitchen is not as good as it pretends to be and is overpriced (the fish I ordered was undercooked). The beach and the pool in the creek are not spectacular.

Love the location, friendly staff, cleanliness, and for fresh food.
Wifi was very poor, A/C is a must, and our first room was close to the road and you could hear cars and trucks passing by.

It was very beautiful and the keepers and staff are so warm and attentive. They made us feel so welcome and there was so much fruit to enjoy. It is very vegan friendly and accommading.

Breakfast fair not special. They set up a nice dinner that we previously reserved
Access to a beach but it is not for recreational use, too many rocks, cabin under a highway little too noisy

the staff, the food, the beautiful nature that surrounds the facilities, the very responsible and sustainable operations.

the property is beautiful, very well kept. the rooms we stayed are were spacious and clean. different kind of environments to enjoy like the game room, the view point, the balconies with hamacas. the best par of all is the responsible sustainable operations. we love to travel and give our kids opportunities to explore and see the world but tourism can be a very harmful activity for the environment and human kind. However, at this property we didn't see waste and pollution that can experience at big chain hotels, cruises etc. Very responsible operations, delicious food, kind and friendly staff.
the beach is nice but the ocean can be a bit choppy for kids to play.

The hotel is part of a huge finca (120 ha if I remember it correctly). We have booked the deluxe room and it was very good quality and tastefully decorated, especially the bathroom that opened up (even without windows) directly to the jungle. The reception staff is quite friendly and welcoming. The private beach is worth a visit and is surely much better value than the overcrowded and dirty beach of Palomino.
Because there are no glass windows (they are covered only with mosquito net) and, naturally, no A/C, the quality of sleep is not so good. Breakfast is of poor value, the restaurant menu is also overpriced and not very good quality, but essentially you don't have any other option if you stay there. There are dogs wandering freely on the territory (just in case if you have special preference for that). Sometime the hotel is used for organized festive events by locals - better to check that in advance. As was mentioned in other reviews the hotel is just on the roadside so one can clearly hear the traffic noise (with the deluxe room this problems is somehow mitigated by its location).
3.0 / 10.0
Threes, flowers and all plants were really colorful and you can tell there is a good maintenance. Easy access to the beach. Nice food in the restaurant (although a bit expensive), good variety of food, nice "natural pool" nearby and a great viewpoint.
I guess it was our fault we booked the same day that the got what I guess was the worst room, a lot of traffic noise all night, far from the rest of the social areas, very dark and the room didn't smell so clean, same with the bathroom. But what was most disappointing was the fact that we were told (before paying) by Alexandra, one of the hostess, that the wifi reception in our room is really good, then we find out that there is no reception AT ALL!. Another hostess did her best to try to solve it but it was pointless... We were told that because of the location wifi reception is naturally poor, and that wouldn't have been a problem if we were told that, but instead we were told that reception was really good. We had to stay late hour in the restaurant to use some internet...
Mattresses weren't so good, the beds make a lot of noise (it's understandable as they are timber beds)
Next day we stayed in a similar location for much less price, so I also think their prices are a bit overrated for what they actually offer. Also the place wasn't as cozy as I pictured it in my head before arriving. It definitely felt like an hotel instead of a "vacation and relaxing" location. Do not recommend it so much.

A beautiful piece of property with lovely accomodations, good food, and a friendly, wonderful staff. During my 5 day stay, Alexandra was continually gracious and very helpful. Breakfast in the morning was excellent and the fish ceviche (I had every night) was arguably the best I've ever had (including my own!). The small waterfall and amazingly refreshing fresh water pool just steps off property was maybe my favorite part of the experience....oh and the 4 gorgeous, gentle giants (dogs) that roam the property
Nothing to dislike about the eco resort itself. The beach across the highway is not great. Small, with very rough water while I was there. Not good for walking or swimming. Better to take a bus or car somewhere else like Buritaca or Tayrona.
