Personnel very kind and ready to help. The location is perfect, right in front of the ocean. We really enjoyed our time there.
The place needs a little more maintenance but I understand how hard it’s to keep the properties near the ocean in perfect state.

Sea view and hotel design is nice

the location is good, not too big not too small, the room was beautiful, the view was 10/10. pay more for the tumbatu room, it’s the best
just beware that there’s no actual beach beach at the hotel at high tide: there’s like a deck you get into the water from, but it’s nice since you have much more privacy and no trespassers are allowed. low tide is okay, do not stay anywhere that’s more towards the north than Langi Langi - the water goes way far back and it smells. Langi Langi was perfect even at low tide although we never swam during it.
- never got to swim in the pool, but the dwarf deers were cool
- I guess the bathrooms could be renovated but they were clean and the cleaning crew came in everyday and they were nice
- the WiFi could be improved
- I’m not sure if it’s still a problem but when we stayed there the horse tours were taking place right by the hotel.

The "continental" breakfast was actually better than expected. There was hot soup, pancakes/french-toast, and eggs (omelet) available in addition to some pastries, cereal, fruit.
This place had the best Wi-Fi I've ever had in Zanzibar... was very good (all the rest of places I've stayed have been very unreliable).
There were some interesting animals that seemed to live close to the rooms: monkeys, suni (dwarf antelope), and some chicken/turkey-looking animal. Was fun to watch them.
Room was very spartan.. was actually hard to find a power outlet to charge my phone at night.

Their pool is hidden away and shady. so it’s nice for kids to swim at any time of the day. Good price for what you get.
The rooms are a bit run down.

Located in a Greta location.
The rooms were big with views of wildlife from the balcony.
The staff weren’t very helpful or welcoming. The rooms are very dated, with some fixtures in the bathroom falling apart. Had to wait some time to get extra towels. The breakfast wasn’t great with little options.

Owner is amazing dude, staff are great !

Rasta the owner has created a little wonderland ..with amazing lush green enclave with few free roaming domesticated animals on his property. A boutique feel and staff are very helpful and welcoming. If you wish to experience true Zanzibar warmth and welcome...then Langi Langi is the place. True to Zanzibar culture, emphasis is on hospitality and to make guests feel welcome rather then on pure commercial gain.
Will surely come back...

the location and the view are amazing
breakfast is very poor. imagine one piece small banana, half slice small pineapple, small slice of watermelon; this is the breakfast. they charge extra for the omelette.
Rooms are not clean and there was a bad smell in the toilet all the time.

The location of the hotel and the facilities
The staff need to be empowered with the English language. They could not understand us and couldn't converse with us. That was why they couldn't cater for our needs as the guests. The hotel needs to take them to language skills classes so that they can get their deserved 100% review results

The bungalow is just a few meters from beach, that was perfect. The seaview was breathtaking and the room was very spacoius. The staffs were very friendly. Food was good.
The bed and pillows were so hard not comfortable at all. The aircondition/fan was very noisy.

Our room was located in a garden with a very nice atmosphere and many animals. The room was cozy and we had a safe in it. The location of the hotel is really close to the beach and the hotel-restaurant has a great view on the sea.
The room felt a bit outdated an we were missing basic things like more hooks for towels - not that this is would hurt that much, but for the given room prices, such things should not be missing.
Also the shower flooded the whole bathroom which was kind of annoying after a few days...
The bed was ok for one or two nights, but after that it felt a bit saggy.
The service at the reception was ok but also not too friendly - again something I would expect differently for the given room price.
Also the staff at the restaurant was very slow.
Most annoying were other tourists that were laying their towels on the hotels beach loungers prior to breakfast, so there was no free space anymore. The hotel staff should take care of that.
All in all we had a very good time in Langi Langi, but again, in the aftermath it felt a bit too pricy for the overall experience.

property was lovely, staff were so friendly. lovely little cute bungalows with lots of character! so nice to see the animals in the garden. pool was lovely, beach amazing! great location with lots of bars and restaurants!
nothing!

Walkability between Langi Langi and other nearby resorts so that you can dine elsewhere and access the beach during high tide.
The staff was awful. Completely rude and unaccommodating.
It is extremely uncommon to find a rude African, Langi Langi has found them all.

beautiful property.
owner was told me to make sure to lock my things in my safe so my friend who was staying with me (who is a local) wouldn’t rob me or the hotel.

The room was spacious and had a view out onto the sea. It is right in front of the beach. At low tide, you can walk straight down to the beach and enjoy the beautiful crystal clear water.
My room was next to the outdoor restaurant, so music would play until midnight. After midnight, the staff members would sit in the outdoor restaurant, play music, drink, talk and laugh loudly until late into the night. The first night they made noise until 2am - it was impossible to sleep. The second night they kept me awake again so I went to them at 1am and asked them to stop. The third and last night of my stay, they didn't make noise.
The pillows in the bedroom are very hard.
The room was in good condition, but it could have been cleaner. There was a lot of dust on top of cupboards and other furniture tops which can affect my allergies.
I didn't not like how I was greeted at the hotel. A dirty man with no shirt on welcomed me on the first day. The day I checked out I was greeted by a receptionist with a mouth full of food who didn't feel the need to swallow. Instead, he spoke to me with a mouth full of food.

very good location
not so clean and very old hotel with poor facilities, need instant improvement

Garden View was beautiful, loved feeding the animals. Excellent location with access straight onto the beach. Tasy fish curry with reasonable prices and a decent dinner menu. Pool was clean. The cleaning staff left flowers on our bed when they came to make the bed each day - a sweet gesture.
The garden room we stayed in was very outdated and unhygienic. The bed was extremely hard and worn out, as were the pillows. The mattress had dips where others had slept over the years. The bed frame was also very creaky which disrupted our sleep. On arrival the AC rattled noisily and so we fixed it ourself using a wedged piece of paper. The fridge was particularly unsanitary and could not be used. The shower head was coming off the wall and posed a health and safety issue. No shower curtain so the shower flooded the bathroom when used. Wifi was poor. Breakfast was extremely basic and disappointing - cooked food was very bland and few options available. The wait staff seemed miserable. Check-out wasn't available at the time when we were due to leave. Although the pool was clean, the surrounding area and sunbeds were very run down, and the outdoor showers were overgrown with plants. Overall, not great value for money - a huge shame as the hotel has great potential.

Langi Langi has a perfect location right at the beach with some of the rooms facing the sea with a beautiful sunset view. Other rooms are facing the garden that contains a private swimming with an ecosystem of small cute animals. This just elevated the atmosphere.

Very humid, not very clean, flush does not work..

Stuff was very helpful and always with smile, we trust them and booked private island tour and it was cheaper than others and we really enjoy there... the other thing is the breakfast was simple but it was enough.. location of hotel was great.
Our room was at first floor and we really like to try there again 🙂✌🏻
Towels sometimes was not clean but when we ask them to change, they changed it immediately.
Also swimming pool was good for kids

The rooms are really big, clean and comfortable. There are a couch in front of the room at terrace with a wonderful green garden view. Very good and lot of various of foods at the restaurant.
Mostly everything is amazing but you cant pay with credit card at the restaurant if you are not staying at the hotel or even if you did, after check out.

We had the most amazing stay at Langi Langi. Staff were amazing, location was superb. Shout out to the owner ras (AKA the tropical Gordon Ramsey) for adding his special touch and making our stay so memorable. WE WILL BE BACK!!!

Good location, beautiful view.
Like most things in Nungwi, our accomm was over priced. We didn’t get wifi in our room, which was disappointing for the price we paid. Overall we liked this accomodation, the room was very spacious and the view was beautiful but the bed was not very comfortable. We paid more for a sea view, but I’d recommend getting the less expensive garden rooms, which are still lovely. I don’t think we would come back to Nungwi during low season- it was nice and relaxed during the day but the night times were very quiet and boring with not much going on. Langi Langi has a great restaurant for dinner with delicious food but we found the free breakfast average. We stayed for 4 nights, but being low season, 2 nights would have been enough for us.

Nice and clean rooms! Frendly and helpful staff! Breakfast is ok, one of the best reastaurant for dinner! Around pool friendly cute mini deers live. Lot of restaurants, shops and grocerys nearby.
Rooms with sea wiew worth the price!
Poor wifi, last 3 days of our stay was not working at all beacuse of broken router.
No card payment accepted in restaurant.
