Despite the promising beachfront location, the stay was marred by construction, poor room conditions

The beachfront location of Aman Beach Bangalore in Zanzibar was undeniably its highlight. Walking along the shore, feeling the soft sand beneath our feet, and watching the waves roll in provided moments of tranquility and serenity. The calming sound of the ocean waves and the refreshing sea breeze offered a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Despite the hotel's shortcomings, the natural beauty of the beach served as a redeeming factor, providing opportunities for relaxation and rejuvenation.

The overall experience was marred by ongoing construction, subpar room conditions, and poor service at the alternative restaurant.The overall experience was overshadowed by several significant drawbacks. The ongoing construction throughout the hotel premises was a constant nuisance, disrupting our peace and tranquility. The rooms were a major disappointment, with outdated furnishings, unclean bathrooms, and amenities that were either non-functional or in poor condition. The lack of basic facilities like a TV or coffee pot further detracted from the comfort of our stay. The dining experience was another letdown. Despite the picturesque view from the main restaurant, it was closed for maintenance, forcing us to dine at an alternative venue where the service was subpar and the overall experience was lacking. Additionally, the hotel's lack of transparency regarding the breakfast charge was disappointing and added to our frustration, leaving a sour taste in our mouths.

Het uitzicht op zee was magisch: maar wel alleen in de Seaview Bugalows

Zwembad was superwarm en voelde daarom niet 'schoon'

Bien situé, belle plage et le personnel très sympathique.

La vie de l’hôtel et les restaurants tout proche de très bonne qualité.

La connexion internet n’est pas sécurisée et de mauvaise qualité. Beaucoup d’interruption !

For the price we paid it's fair but I think I should have paid a bit more and stayed a nicer place

The mosquito net had holes in it thus useless. This made me feel uncomfortable and I did not sleep well because of it worrying at night. The bungalows has no parking so that was also stressful. The WiFi was terrible so I had to use my data.

Awesome

The staff members were great and very helpful.

There was no TV in the room, the bed was really noisy and the internet was very weak. It was hard to get things done online

Very good

Everything was pretty well. Lovely spacious rooms with A/C. Nice clean beach is just 20m away.

The restaurant on site is awful. Luckily there are many other much better options in walking distance.

Was OK til I injured my knee

Breakfast was OK.

We stayed at S3 for 3 Nights. Fridge and Air Conditioner Leaked. Flooded the room. Reception was informed and Housekeeping was sent. Mopped up. Problem, room flooded again. I fell. Injured my knee.

Amazing!

We really enjoyed our stay. We had a seaview room with a patio and mini beach. We spent a lot of time on this patio enjoying the views. We enjoyed the food and the hospitality of the staff.

The wifi signal is really bad in the rooms. It only works properly at the reception. We suggest that they should put wifi boosters in the rooms.

It did the job for 4 nights but I did not enjoy my stay and even looked at booking elsewhere. Would.

Some of the staff in the restaurant/bar were brilliant, especially Alfredo. Good selection of food and drink in the restaurant, the pool was good.

The bed dipped in the middle so we rolled into the dip every night. The step up to the bathroom was huge, not great when you're not familiar and half asleep getting up to use the toilet. Reception staff were not the normal smiley and welcoming staff I would expect from front of house staff. Not easy to find initially as no sign posts on the roads like the other resorts.

Not going to be staying at Amaan Bungalows again! Its dilapidated and seems to be slowly dying

The location was great being beachside

I specified that i needed ground floor rooms when i was doing the booking because my group had small children, however, when i arrived at the hotel they told me they had booked 2 upstairs rooms and 2 downstairs rooms though i had communicated my specifications in advance and they had confirmed that these would be attended to. It was very dissapointing as they should have told me in advance so i could make alternative hotel arrangements!!!

Our room with seeview was amazing. AC in room working without any problems. Balcony to ocean side is great. Breakfast is good, but to much spicy in something. Everyday staff make fresh eggs and pancakes. Cleaning our room is perfect when we wish it.

Small problem with pressure watter system in shower. Sometimes when was in breakfast restaurant more people staff don't coming with fruit plate.

Great hotel but it could be amazing

Friendly, welcoming staff. We had complimentary breakfast due to honeymoon which was a nice touch. great location with balcony overlooking the beach. Facilities and gardens really nice. Very close to lots of other food/bars nearby. Happy hour 5-7 is good.

The payment service is frustrating. Nothing is automated and they don’t seem to trust the staff with taking payment at the bar/restaurant, has to go to a main desk which takes a long time. Need to get a computer payment system for this. Food not the best

The location is good, on the beach, in a lively area. The rooms and the hotel are clean.

We were there for a couple of days during new years eve and the hotel was almost full. The staff were very stressed and not friendly (we paid for breakfast at 9.50am and they asked us to leave at 10.am...). The buffet food was low-quality.

Great location, right on the beach. Rooms basic but clean and tidy, decent bathroom, good size. Great breakfast, freshly prepared fruit, pastries, eggs etc.
