👍 Location is good, in a village with locals. Quiet, calm and comfortable. To the beach about 5 minutes. To hang out places for 15-20 minutes (either in the village or along the beach at low tide). This is not a problem for us, even a plus. The breakfasts are good. We had lunch and dinner here at the hotel. They cook slowly (like everywhere else in Zanzibar😆), but everything is delicious. The staff is great! The owner is super! It will help with any questions: taxi, motorbike rental, excursions, currency exchange, and in general, I think, it will solve any questions))) I am glad to be staying at Capre Diem. We took a few nights, then left on Paje. And after 3 days they decided to return, because they liked Capre Diem more. And Nungwi is better.
PS: Khalyuk, thank you very much for our vacation! Everything was great 👍
Все отлично! Ловите момент! Сантехника старовата, но это вообще не критично для нас)
Everything is fine! Be in the moment! The plumbing is a bit old, but this is not critical for us at all)

The owners are attentive and welcoming. The place features a small cozy yard, proximity to the beach, daily breakfast, a fan and WiFi.
While my room was nice, it had a mold issue, and the toilet in the bathroom needs fixing. It would be beneficial to have the room cleaned on a daily basis.

No AC. But it’s not a big deal for me.

Haluk and Nana were amazing hosts who took really good care of me on my first solo trip. Haluk took me around Nungwi and introduced me to locals and facilities as well as sharing facts and tips about my stay in zanzibar. The staff were friendly and food was great.
Its a shame I wasn't able to spend more than 8 days as I would want to stay longer next time with Haluk and Nana and the team but sadly work calls. So nothing I didnt like about my booking.

The hotel is very close to the beach, zoo, aquarium and restaurants. The owners of the facility, Haluk and Nana are very friendly and nice people. Haluk showed us around, gave us a tour at the beach and arranged a snorkeling tour for us. Nana assisted my wife to buy some souvenirs. My little daughter became sick and they were very helpful to make her get well. The rooms are clean. The hotel staff are welcoming and smile all the time. I can't wait to revisit the facility.

The place is very cute and amazing value for money. It's also super close to the beach.
Haluk was amazingly helpful in showing us around the neighborhood, sharing tips on do's/don'ts, and arranging (sometimes literally walking us!) to the activities like swimming with turtles and going dolphin spotting.
Highly recommend if you're looking for an affordable, comfy and friendly stay!

We stayed at Carpe Diem for nearly two weeks and it was a home away from home. Delicious breakfast, very good WiFi, reasonably priced beers, friendly owners and entertaining pets. It's in a quieter part of town but we liked that, and it's just a short walk to the beach.
Be aware the rooster can be quite loud in the morning so you may want to wear earplugs. 😊

Price was good , location too.
Well, the two owners chain smoke a lot, which is certainly their right. But i wish they didn't do it when sitting right next to guests in common area. Second hand smoke is obnoxious.

I got exactly what I wanted, I wanted that local, African feel, and that's exactly what I got....the rooms are spacious, Everything was to my satisfaction...Haluk and his oh so gorgeous wife NaNa are just absolutely amazing, loving and kind...It just feels like home....Haluk shared his delicious toast with me several times....I can't wait to return...the area is touristy....Oh just to hear the cocks crow early morning was amazing for me....I grew up hearing them as a child and it brought back so much memories....it was sad to leave but I'll be back...Their morning check is so sweet, she's super kind...breakfast was good everytime.....I had an amazing 9 days...Thanks Haluk and NaNa.
The Blackouts...but it was out of their control..no fault of them.

The place is in the middle of the village, so u can feel like local person.
The owners are very helpful and kind, they have chickens and cats, that are joining you during breakfast :)
Breakfast was basic. One plate with little omelette 2 tiny slices of bread, 2 slices of tomato and cucumber, and one pancake, tea or coffee.
Place was very clean.
The place wasn't expensive so you can not expect too much.
There was very loud at night, there are no windows and you can hear all the animals like fighting cats at 3 am, that was waking us up all nights.

Haluk and his wife Nalan created a very welcoming environment, and made me feel like family. They always tried to accommodate my special food wishes, whenever possible. I enjoyed my stay in their cosy place very much, and I felt very comfortable. It is a guest house, not a five star hotel, AND it had everything that is impotant to me. Clean, friendly, working amenities, great internet. Definitely a five star guest house :-)

Ahh it been a while since we stayed at Carpe Diem Nungwi, but we miss this place so much! We stayed there for 12 days and enjoyed it a lot. Mr Haluk and his wife Nana were such accommodating and caring people, they definitely went the extra mile for us. Kids loved all the pets and the food was so delicious, especially grilled octopus! The bbq night was awesome as well, tasty food and the local band had our hearts that evening, they sang so good that I had tears in my eyes 🥹 the local staff working in the kitchen were always smiley and kind and did a great job. Haluk organised all the tours for us which was excelent. What more can I say… We left this place with heavy heart and we miss you guys! ❤️
You can always see the negative in everything, but those little things doesn’t even matter when when you are here to make memories :)

Haluk and his wife were very supportive with good advice, the location was perfect. Bbq, breakfast and local animations were great! Especially the night cruise!
We would have appreciated a bit more quiet as everyone starts really early in nungwi and sometimes the WiFi is on holidays too but nothing could dampen our mood anyway!

Breakfast was very good and filling. Owners of the hotel are great people who go beyond and above to have their customer go back with a very happy Zanzibar experience. They make all the difference...

Staff are beyond helpful and friendly. Took me on a night out and helped me get a good price with the dolphins. Very comfortable seating area for breakfast.
Other guests having breakfast Could probably hear me in the bathroom. I would’ve liked a double sheet, not single for the double bed.
