Beautiful setting and lovely hotel. Excellent staff and accommodation.

The location is the best in Swakopmund with views over the sea. Beautiful setting, lovely interiors and wonderful staff who really went out of their way to help with arrangements and make the guests feel welcome. Breakfast is great with a big variety to choose from.

The breakfast options are great but service at breakfast was slow. There does not seem to be enough waiters and we waited fifteen minutes for a tea order. Same goes for the station that prepares the smoothies and pancakes. One morning there was only one lady to do both and the guests were cueing up. That said all the staff are very friendly and are trying their best.

Nice restaurants and craft beer, super friendly staff, perfect location.

Too many pictures in the rooms and toilet which have a bad history of the genocide and oppression of our forefathers. We could not even change rooms because they are everywhere.

The property makes the most of its stunning location, with bright sunny rooms and public areas

Exceptional

Strand Hotel is the best hotel we stayed in Namibia. The staff was so welcoming and helpful in organizing Marine and 4×4 tours in Walvish Bay. You can make laundry there, eat in different restaurants and breakfasts are just wonderful.

Housekeeping bad - rooms not ready on arrival. Aircons not working after 10 complains moved to other room with same problem

Best hotel in Swakop, beautiful hotel great staff.

Beautiful hotel in great beachfront location, maintained to a very high standards. rooms are well equipped and very comfortable. Staff went out of their way to make sure I had a great stay, especially Thomas!

Stupidly overpriced and poor facilities, but good location

Breakfast was a good selection and hotel was clean and tidy. Location was great.

Had to move rooms because aircon didn't work and room was 27 degrees! New room also did not have functioning aircon despite complaining several times. Had a very uncomfortable stay at a very very expensive price.

Exceptional

The room and the view are nice. The big size of the bathroom with the closet is very good. The staff was super kind and made is feel like home.

A small delay at the check-in compared to what had been told us, but everything got in order very soon.

rooms were unfortunately uncomfortable due to the heat being contained in the room from the fridge. further to this the aircons were ineffective.
