the property was clean and in a central location.
All I have to say about this hotel is DISAPPOINTING.
We arrived on Saturday and were happy when Tony allowed us to check in early and our room was lovely and clean.
As a family we enjoyed our time in Blackpool and in the evening we came back to the hotel with two tired children.
Being a small establishment, we felt safe to leave the kids upstairs watching tv (they had strict instructions not to answer the door and they had their phones as contact to us).
We enjoyed the company of other hotel guests in the garden and in the bar where the kids joined us after a wee rest.
There was a whole group in the bar (approx. 9 adults and 6 kids), paying customers.
At half ten, he quite strictly told us that the bar shuts at 11.
At quarter to, he refused a lady a drink.
We were all asked to leave the bar at 11 and the lights were off and bar closed.
Now, we have no issue with this at all. The bar isn’t open to the public and he has rules, fair enough.
We had a long day away all day on Sunday and then again on Monday.
When we came back on Monday evening, the bar was closed with a sign saying “no bar service” and two emergency contact numbers.
We decided to sit in the garden with another guest that we had made friends with.
The kids played for a while before all heading to bed.
Not long after, a bunch of loud and very unruly drunken adults came to the hotel and were arguing among themselves over who had the key. Then the “owner” came over the road and in absolutely no state to be running a business.
He opened the bar for the men, we later discovered were friends of his.
We headed to bed and carnage began beneath us.
Yes, our family room (that holds a travel cot for infants) was directly above the bar area.
They were rowdy enough and loud in their antics but nothing prepared us for the unbelievable volume of music that came.
Both kids were woken with a fright. I decided that I couldn’t let it go and went to ask that they turn it down.

Caroline & Tony are excellent hosts, cheerful and friendly and made us feel so welcome. Our room was pleasantly decorated, was spotlessly clean and the bed was comfortable. The bar is a great addition and the location is great, really close to the train station, shops and attractions. The mini fridge in the room is a wonderful idea and tea / coffee along with a kettle are also provided. Would definitely recommend booking The Stafford for your stay, we will be booking again the next time we visit 😀

Third time staying at the Stafford. No complaints as usual. Perfect room size and everything you need facility wise. The breakfast is beautiful to set up your busy day. Perfect walking distance from the seafront tower side. Hosts are so welcoming and friendly nothing is too much no matter how busy they may be.
