La atención del personal.
Cuando llegamos no había agua debido a un corte.

Location was good. Not too far from the square, but far enough to not get all the main square noise. Breakfast was good. The staff at the restaurant was very friendly.
We paid for 4 people in the family room, but ended up with a 5th person, which we informed them of right away. After a few hours, they called us and said we needed to book a second room. So we did, and wanted two people in that room and three in the family room. But they made us pay for two people in the new room, even though we'd already paid for four people. So we paid for 6 people instead of 5. It was very frustrating.

Location, clean and comfortable. Quiet. Staff were helpful and breakfast was good.
Rooms could have a little more ventilation- a little dark but overall a good stay.

Room had a humidity issue, causing a bad smell.
The bathroom extractor fan was not working

Great location close enough but away from the main square
Nothing

The room was clean and the staff was nice.
Breakfast was really good
The room does not have a window to outside, only to the floor. There was no air conditioning in the room. We arrived on a rainy day so that our luggage was wet. Nothing gets dry in this room.
And if you come from outside, the room was humid and smelly.
The bathroom was also too small and very little storage place.

Great clean hotel in a very good location. Rooms are a good size, the beds are comfortable and the hot shower was good. Rooms were cleaned everyday too.
Salento is very small so everything is within walking distance - lots of restaurants and Cafés nearby.
The staff here are so friendly and helpful. It's a family run hotel and the two brothers (Jhoan and Pedro) helped to make our stay very memorable! They lived in the US for a decade so their English is perfect. They assisted with airport shuttles, Cocora hiking recommendations and other tours (horseback riding and coffee).
Breakfast was good but simple. The restaurant itself is great for a meal and highly recommended during your stay. The staff even do a surprisingly good packed lunch if you want to do a full day of hiking.
Laundry service is very fast and cheap, we used it almost everyday.
WiFi signal was excellent throughout as well.
Nothing, it was all perfect!

Comfortable and giant bed with good quality bedding. Amazingly helpful and kind staff who make you feel looked after. For example one woman arranged to have my laundry done, printed out my bus tickets and called me a jeep to help with our bags. A man who arranges tours advised me not to take one and told me how to get to Cocora by public transport, I also thought the restaurant was very good and was impressed by the lychee margaritas. Their packed lunches are superb and very good value
Nothing at all

Quiet, clean, little hotel. Friendly staff. Room cleaned daily. Quality breakfast. Soft/luxurious pillows. Close to bus terminal.
Nights were semi chilly (so A/C not essential) but we still needed air flow in our room...wish we had a fan. Had to use Google translate as staff spoke very little English.

The hotel was very nice and clean with a small garden inside of it. There is also a Beta restaurant a few steps away that serve great food. Both hotel and restaurant are family owned business so the atmosphere there is very friendly. Personnel at the reception was super helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Pedro, the manager, took incredible care of us. He personalized a coffee tour experience for us through Buenos Aires finca (highly recommended over the more popular but now over-touristy farms) and even drove us himself. That day exceeded all my expectations in learning about coffee, riding the jeeps, meeting hard working locals that supply the coffee chain across the world. Pedro definitely went above and beyond to make the whole experience memorable!
The hotel restaurant is one of the highest rated places in Salento and it was honestly some of the most satisfying meals of our trip, because overall Colombia's food scene left a lot to be desired. The staff were all very polite and accommodated our very broken Spanish. The town is very humid and buildings are not insulated, including for sound, so just something to be mindful of.
The experience at Betatown Hotel and the personalized coffee tour at Buenos Aires plantation was hands down the highlight of my Colombia trip, and I hope more travellers consider supporting these businesses.
Absolutely nothing - it was the best part of the trip

the girl from the reception Alejandra was not welcoming nor nice. our room was in the corridor next to the reception so you would hear everything. For this matter our stay was not relaxing at all.
the bed is not very confortable and the bathroom very small. there is no window in the room so it feels humide all the time.
