Lamu location not bad
Open sewer outside. Smell . Roof cafe a building site. bedrooms very very small. Their website is completely misleading. Outrageously expensive for what it was
We couldnt stay there, they offered no refund.
Booking.com. shame on you if you dont police this lot

The breakfast was good, I truly enjoyed it. The location is also good and convenient. I would choose the hotel in my next visit.
Being a rainy season, the roof was leaking. I wish it could be repaired

everything
The only problem is the shower. It sprinkles not a lot of water

the design was close to the local architecture, a fusion os Spanish Swahili architecture.
very clean and with great security and privacy
the staff were amazing, the manager Leah very responsive, resourceful and friendly.
Joyce and Esther and Abu were absolutely great

The service by the staff was excellent. The location of my room was facing the ocean. The room had air conditioner and was very clean. Breakfast was superb considering Lamu is an island.
The hot shower was not working.

The receptionist Madam Terry was awesome 👌, her services exceed expectations, any time there was a complain she was up n about to make sure it's sorted. She deserves am award for customer service 👏 🙌. Despite small hitches here and there she made sure my stay was worth it. ❤️. Thumps up to this girl, I bet she is among the stuff that make clients wanna come back again and again.
Housekeeping.
This area they luck proffessionalism , day one I found dirty sheets made for me, the towels looked used.
Although I complained and madam Teryy made sure they were changed.
Day two after coming back from day trip ,found the towels I used last night ,no change 😪
Am one person who values hygiene and one wrong move I get pissed. I didn't even complain or ask for a change coz that's not my job anyways. Otherwise my luggage was kept well and arranged when I came back. They should sort out the issue of bedding and towels.
Also breakfast time I found the stuff so green, serving tea and forgetting sugar, food they forget salt. You ask for tissues they take like forever before bringing 🤧 , I found management lacking to train the stuff , alot of customer service training needed. Otherwise the hotel in general was good and I enjoyed my stay. Thanks to Terry.

Very friendly, hospitable staff. Room had a great view! One of the only places with AC in Lamu - something I found rather critical over the hot season.
There's not much you can't love about Lamu and I feel the same about all the accommodation I stayed in. Everything is pretty basic but this is really the main appeal of Lamu Island! :D

It was by the seafront, so it was easy to access boats.
Some of the staff were very friendly.
I do not recommend staying here. Try staying in Shela for a more comfortable stay, and visit Old Town Lamu for exploration.
The stay here wouldn't have even been half the price we paid (we got the sea view room)
- No hot water
- Furniture was old, locks were old and barely functional
- Bed was dirty from deteriorating roof trusses
- Small, old windows
- Bad smell from unsanitary sea front (pollution, poor sewage and donkey poop - common across the old town)
- Weak wifi (none from our room)

The views, the vibes and the staff were friendly and warm

the staff were excellent, friendly, courteous and went the extra mile. The location was great.
the room was terrible. old bed linen. the room was tiny and the bathroom old, and not user friendly. shower was tiny and had a horrible plastic curtain.

Great location! It was the right decision to book a hotel on the waterfront. The air conditioner did not work, but if the windows were opened the sea breeze made it possible to sleep comfy.
The restaurant was more expensive than in Shella.

...right in the middle of town. Perfect location
