The location is wonderful for a peaceful and quiet few days away from the city. The view from the deck is beautiful and calming containing a refreshing pool and a hot tub (both outside). The room in itself is small, but comfortable and really has everything you would need (Suite with Private Pool). The staff is helpful and ready to accommodate your needs.
The pool is quite small, so don't expect to do much swimming, but it's good to keep yourself fresh. The sun doesn't hit the deck directly, so sun tanning is a little difficult. There are no cooking utensils (stove top, pans, etc) so keep this in mind, however since we stayed for many nights the manager was very kind and got a stove top for us.
8.3 / 10.0
The setting is stunning and quiet, with breathtaking views of the hills. The manager was very attentive and took time and care to explain the facilities. Breakfast on the first morning was excellent. This is a charming, restful and calming place to be. The location provides a bottle of wine and some snacks, which was a cute touch. It is also clear that a lot of thoughts has been put into the decor.
I know that this is supposed to be a romantic getaway, but it's also the 21st century and decent Internet connection should be a given. The router wasn't in our room meaning that the signal was weak - and even the Netflix in our room wouldn't work. The room we chose was clean and comfortable, but a little on the snug side - with no space to hang clothes.
We booked breakfast for 2 days, but it only arrived on the first day - and as much as we really want to give Sound of the Flute an excellent rating, this was a disappointment.
