Nice secluded spot
Not much beach area, not much else around there

Very close to the port, easy to get there. They rent bikes what is ideal for moving in the island. The lady in charge is extremely helpful and friendly, lovely staff. They offer massage and is really a peaceful retreat.
If you expect or need more than the neat basics offered , better look for other options.

I loved the people who were there and working there. Very welcoming and caring.
Yo do need a motorbike if you want to go around the island. There is quite a bit that is walkable from there though,

Perfect spot for sunsets. Staff are sweet and very accomodating. A very peaceful spot.
Some updates needed on certain tiles in my bathroom, some of them were falling off. There was also heaps of little white ants living in the wood.

Lovely staff, cozy little restaurant/bar and hang-out area, great bungalows and beautiful nature setting, right next to the sea. Also, very close to the "town" part of the island and the port.

amazing place, very quiet and relaxing

beautiful view the sunset, spacious room and terrace. the accommodation is basic and for me as a solo traveller on a budget perfect. very nice staff also
maybe not so suitable for couples as rooms are not sound proof.

The staff is so lovely! And the location is awesome, peaceful and chill.
The wifi connection was kind of weak in the rooms.

no soap or shampoo in bedroom, excellent place for minimalist people, everything is old and need to be fix.
a poor fan very old to refresh air
along the sea, but very big rocks everywhere, just a very passage to go into the sea, full of plastic garbage from the sea around but they don't collect it.

Nothing
I really don’t like giving bad reviews unless I feel I have to… for this instance unfortunately I don’t think I can give it anymore than one star.
Firstly it seems like all of the places to stay here on the island have a pick up and drop off from the port - this one doesn’t!
They say they have bikes for rent, they mean scooters as I came here to rent a bicycle and the only option is to walk 40 mins in the blistering heat to pick one up.
It’s the only place I have stayed in 4 months that doesn’t have free tea and coffee and charges a fortune for a bottle of water. They have loads of huge water refills and I asked if I could pay for a refill as I detest buying plastic bottles - it was a no!!! LETS SAVE THE PLANET! I don’t mind spending the same on a refill as a bottle.
It’s the first time on my trip that I haven’t slept because I felt dirty and uncomfortable in the room. There are termites everywhere and as much as I swept away the dust from them, loads more appeared.
No Wi-Fi in the room, so don’t stay if you are working remotely.
I didn’t like the vibe and people both guests and staff, every time I walked into the restaurant everyone turned around and looked at me. There is no atmosphere!
Everywhere else I have stayed I have paid and sometimes they wouldn’t accept money, for a drop off somewhere… the staff here were constantly driving in and out of Pano they could have taken me and I would have paid. They are just very rude women apart from the owner who is a cutie.
The moment I arrived I was already looking for a place to move to, it’s very unlike me.

Rooms in need of cosmetic maintenance but clean and everything works( shower/toilet/fan).
Although rooms are fan only, it’s a lovely experience as each bungalow has it’s own balcony, fantastic for evenings and mornings.
On a small peninsula overlooking a beautiful shallow bay, and a clean canal on the other side.
Staff is very kind and are very hospitable.
The Thai food served in the restaurant is a real taste of authentic Thai cooking. It’s very fresh, they use herbs (Basil) right from plants growing next to the restaurant.
Overall an excellent experience at a very reasonable price.
The rooms could use a bit of cosmetic maintenance.

Nice, clean, friendly people. Nice place to stay.
Nothing to don't like about it

The location, nice and quiet but not far from anywhere, I guess that is the same for all of Koh Mak. The lady that runs reception and restaurant is very sweet and helpful. Good size room with balcony.
Huts are old and need some TLC and cleaning. Rubbish swept up by the sea does not get cleared. Too much money for amount of disrepair, I am sorry to say, because everyone was very nice.

This resort is beautiful, located on the side of the island with the most incredible sunsets every day. The host is the kindest and most generous lady who cooks the most delicious and great value food. She provided laundry service and arranged moped rental. The building is gorgeous and the balcony’s have a spectacular view. You feel apart of a small community throughout your stay and everything was idyllic.

the resort is to be completely renovated. its condition can be compared to a survival camp. the only nice touch is the lady who mans the kitchens and the bar.

Friendly staff, the place overall was remote and quite!
The Houses are build with always TWO SEPARATE (!) rooms attached to each other for TWO different people to stay.
But the rooms are NOT (!) really separated from each other in therms of noises produced from the the people „next door“ because the wall between is not completely closed at the roof.
So you will hear every thing 😳… and I mean EVERYTHING (!) even 🙄 even if they try to speak very silently.
THERE IS NO PRIVACY AT ALL ! That’s a pitty!
There was also some problems with the shower!
There is a possibility to get in the water and have a swim, but there is NO (!) Beach and there is too much litter laying around!
So please clean up your property to make your customer feel more comfortable!

If you want the real Thai Experience then this is the place to be. Authentic, real, loving and warm! It’s back to what’s really important with no glitter and glamour. If we knew it would be like this beautiful, we’ve switched places of our holiday. ‘Mama’ and all the people living there make your stay perfect. It’s like a small community on it self. We will certainly come back. We fell in love!
There is nothing not to like!

The location is beautiful even it's a bit remote. Family was wonderful and we felt very welcome. Bungalow was charming but might need a bit of fixing.
Unfortunately we got very loud neighbours and the walls are thin so they kept us awake and distracted during our stay.

We liked almost everything, from check in to check out. Koh mak is a small island, you can prob.see the full island in one day by renting a scooter. the property arranged everything for us, we were greeted with a mile wide smile by the receptionist/cook/all around helper named Pa. She let us checked in early, handed us cold bottled waters, showed us around, and cooked us delicious foods. The location was superb, very safe and quiet. The overlooking water view from our room and balcony, listening to the waves as you doze off, and the sunset were some of the highlights. The rates were so cheap, it felt like renting an overwater bungalow in a very quiet and remote island. We pretty much arranged everything with the property from meals to transportation
at reasonable prices including a massage. All the staff made our stay very convenient and memorable. It is easy to gain a family here bc of the staff. This property exceeded our expectations. Book it!!!!

Basic accommodation but great location, calm, green, relaxing. Perfect for a break from hectic life. Back to nature! The Lady managing the property was lovely, taking care of us perfectly, always smiling and positive.
A lot of rubbish washed up on the beach.
