Beautiful location and working farm. Extra bonus is that it was dog friendly.
Bedrooms are a bit small, but comfortable for a short stay.

Our stay at Wyford farm was fantastic! The farm itself is lovely with great access to fishing and hiking. The cottages are well-equipped and very clean and comfortable. Cecile was also an absolutely wonderful host and we look forward to staying again in the future.

Had a wonderful, restful 3 night stay at Wyford farm in their Poplar Chalet. A lovely rustic cottage where we had our own privacy and it was lovely. Perfect place to go if you just want to chill with your loved ones. Plenty of wood can be bought for your braai or indoor log fire. Our host Cecile was such a nice lady and very accommodating. We bought some homemade chilli sauce and curried beans. Both were very good. We really enjoyed our stay.

The setting is beautiful and very rural. It is a working farm so guests must expect cows, horses, geese and goats. The cottage is very solidly built in stone and the beds were very comfortable. The linen seems new. We are travelling with our dog and the dog was totally safe in our private enclosed area. This is a good place to stay if you want to give your children experience with farm life. It is reasonably priced and the owners leave fresh milk in the fridge.
It would have been nice if the lawn had been mowed in the enclosed garden where we stayed. Obviously I would not expect the fields to be mown but the grass was very long in the garden. Of course, to be fair, we stayed early in January so maybe the gardener had not yet returned from leave.

Friendly reception and convenient location.
When arrived it was during load schedding and we were not shown the gas cooker.

The peaceful, relaxing feeling that she was at home.
There were not enough sign posts and she thought she was lost.
The contact number on the board needs to be changed.

Everything! The location- a major plus- breaks the journey from Durban to Bloem perfectly. The farm itself is wonderful,- beautiful views, cattle, sheep etc.
Garden Cottage was perfect- had everything we needed, cozy, fireplace. A treasure, tucked away in the Van Reenen valley! Definitely going back!
