Excellent stay with a great host

The absolute star is Trish - she is an excellent host and made us feel very welcome. The lodge is better than a home from home. The attention to detail in the room, comfy bed with lots of fluffy pillows, excellent choice of toiletries and a very generous breakfast to name but a few - care has been taken in providing everything you could need and more. Highly rate this accommodation.

Super Aussicht und tolle moderne Unterkunft.

Mein Zimmer war sehr komfortabel eingerichtet und bot (wie versprochen) einen tollen Blick auf den Mt Egmont. Die Sicht ist auch prima für einen Sonnenuntergang. Der Whirlpool war auch prima für die Erholung nach einer langen Wanderung und bot auch Sicht auf den Berg. Ich würde jederzeit gerne wieder hinfahren.

Lovely peaceful place to stay. It would be an awesome place for a few couples to have a catch up.

It was just the perfect short getaway that we needed. Spa bath was great and lovely to be able to open that to the outdoors. Bed very comfortable and the host as were awesome, they even offered to drive us to and collect from dinner🤗

VERY relaxing & enjoyable stay ☺️

Such a lovely property. Trish & Dave we’re so friendly (also Rusty, their little pup). Very quiet & peaceful being about a 5 min drive out of Stratford. Short drive to the many walks up on Mt Taranaki. Bed extremely comfortable & spa bath delicious! Lovely decor. Would highly recommend 😊

Amazing lodge, wish we stayed a few nights!

We loved our stay at Platinum Lodge. Trish welcomed us with a big smile and home baked muffins. Continental breakfast was very generous and delicious. The room was big and very comfortable with a beautiful view and private garden. The decoration with local pottery made the place very homely.

We had a very relaxing stay, our host made us feel very welcome

It was a lovely comfortable, clean and luxurious studio with a wonderful view of the Mt. Taranaki. The continental breakfast was delicious!

What a gem of a place. Super quiet location with views of Taranaki (if he decides to show himself). Very private units, extremely nice hosts and Smokey the cat was a bonus.

We had an excellent experience in Platinum lodge ! It is one of the most quite, peaceful, nice and comfortable places we have stayed in. The owner is extreemly nice, we were welcomed with 2 hot maffines for our 5 o'clock coffee and when asked, she kindly offered us to wash our laundary using her washing machine. We highly recomnend staying at Platinum lodge! Ayelet Reshef, Israel

This place. Was amazing, loved the fresh baked cookies on arrival, the private location the view of the mountain and the lovely garden and water falls. Just beautiful.

A great place to stay with great hosts.

Clean, modern rooms, with a spacious bathroom.

The shower in the bathroom was not enclosed, but the floor dried quickly.

Fantastic value for money, we recommend highly without hesitation.

Excellent quiet property with new, top-tier fittings and fixures, friendly and helpful host, very comfortable beds, well equipped coffee/tea making facilities, room cleaned daily, continental breakfast stocked daily in the fridge in the room - allowed us to eat at leisure at our own time! Great view of Mt Taranki from the room (courtesty - clouds permitting, see attached pic). 6 min drive to Stratford town, 35 min drive to New Plymouth.

Good quality haven away from the rat race!

Statford is a little out of the way but if you are local or on the way through to somewhere else, I would not hesitate to stay again. Garden and sculptures were beautiful. Didn't get to try the Day Spa facilities but the stay was awesome anyway. Great to have the Day Spa there and look forward to using them in the future.
