The property was beautiful and the owner himself was a lovely gentleman. It was perfect for what we wanted and was amazingly quiet.

The location was superb to access buses to Glastonbury.

Quality and range of facilities are exceptional and meet whatever degree of self catering you may require. Every detail has been carefully thought through. Comfortable and cosy but, being on 2 levels, spacious and, for our 4 night visit, far preferable to only a bedroom accommodation. The private garden areas are lovely and so peaceful that there was no awareness of even passing traffic. A perfect base to explore the attractive towns, cities and attractions close by.
Every effort has been made to convert this attractive old building into fully comfortable accommodation but, understandably, there are minor limitations to what can be achieved. You will be aware from the property description that there is a spiral staircase up to the bedroom (with motion activated lighting) and toilet facilities are downstairs. Fine for us, but possibly a distraction for others. The bedroom is lovely and the beams very attractive. They are low in places though, so just take care ... they can bite! So, nothing we didn't like!

we loved it, it was so peaceful and private.
everything was clean and we didn’t need to ask for anything extra .
it was nice to sit out in the early evening with a drink in the pretty garden.
( the cats are beautiful 😻 too )
the parking space is also a bonus.
The bathroom/toilet is on the ground floor and I would prefer it nearer the bedroom but that’s a personal thing and it certainly wouldn’t stop us from returning.

The people that own it are very friendly and helpful
Breakfast and little extras like remote controlled blind and stairs that lit up as you walked up them 🙂

Small compact cosy cottage, in the grounds of the guest house. Cottage very private and accessed by a secure gate. Lovely gardens, and sitting area.
Own parking spot.
Nothing to dislike for us. However the stairs to the bedroom area were narrow and not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties.

A warm welcome and a Lovely Place, nice little touches like a umbrella and torch (much needed this time of year).
Highly recommend 😊

It was a quaint old cottage, extremely clean, the owners kindly provided a pint of milk, biscuits and tea, which was welcome after our journey. Perfect for a couple. Plus a parking spot off the street.
The location on the street is a bit blind and some locals zip around there pretty fast, so have your wits about you when coming and going. You can walk to Shepton Mallet high street, but it’s a bit run down, numerous empty storefronts. But it’s a short drive to other pubs and Wells is close by.

Longbridge Cottage is a little jewel and our hosts were beyond lovely, with a wonderful warm welcome upon our arrival. Thank you for the coffee, tea, milk, sugar, chocolate biscuits and bottle of wine waiting for us in the cottage. So thoughtful!
The cottage and grounds were enchanting, full of character, like stepping back in time but with all our modern conveniences. The cottage itself was immaculate, thoroughly clean, sparkling and fresh.
A charming colourful little kitchen with all sorts of cutlery, mugs, plates, glasses etc.
A roomy sized bathroom with steamy hot shower, and once again, immaculately clean and hygienic. The towels were fluffy white, absorbant and they smelled amazing !
The bed upstairs was extremely comfortable with four dreamy soft pillows. The colours of the bedding and decor were soothing to the eye.
The gardens surrounding the cottage had many little places to sit, relax, and listen to the lovely birdsong. We watched the bees amongst the flower garden and visited with the owners' absolutely gorgeous cats, all with their own little unique kitty personalities.
We also enjoyed the most delicious breakfast! A full English that kept us going well into the afternoon, brought to us in the cutest wicker basket with coffee, juice, toast, butter and jam. A wonderful way to start our day.
Thank you so much, we had a brilliant time, very relaxed and comfortable. Already looking forward to booking with Longbridge Cottage again, next time we visit Somerset.

Beautiful, warm, comfortable, clean, well stocked and furnished cottage in a quiet and private courtyard setting. Big TV for evening movies, a kitchen with all essentials and more, comfortable bed (despite the low beams) and a fun spiral staircase. Lovely setting with a small pond surrounded by wild garlic and bluebells with a beautiful terrace garden above with plenty of native primroses, oxslip, bluebells, apple trees, and coppiced hazel hedgerows - probably the nicest garden I've ever seen at any B&B/Hotel/Hostel accommodation before. Multiple seating areas are good for morning breakfast or dinner on a good day, with a couple of good quiet spots for meditation. Shepton Mallet doesn't have much to offer itself, but it's well located to get into Cheddar Gorge, Bath, and Glastonbury all of which are around a half hour drive. The owner and cats are all friendly.
The shower water pressure wasn't amazing and ceiling is low, but given Longbridge House itself is Grade II listed I imagine there may be restrictions on what can practically be done to the cottage and it's not a significant drawback. The property itself is beautiful, but the local area is rather run down and uncared for which is a shame but as a base to explore Glastonbury, Bath, etc. then that's no issue. WiFi cut out briefly a few times but nevermind. Owner only left one pack of cookies so had to go out for more. That's all for the negatives.

Superb, romantic little cottage for a weekend away. Beautiful old town with lots of history. The owner Tanya is lovely. Fantastic all round.
Nothing bad to say a bonus if I said one would of been a TV on the ceiling/wall opposite the bed so you can watch TV in bed and be lazy hahahaha

We loved visiting Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury town and the Tor, Wells and Hauser & Wirth Somerset, which were all just short drives away. We also walked into Shepton Mallet one evening and had a great time watching live music at the Art Bank Cafe. The cottage itself was really lovely and characterful, and equipt with everything you need. We enjoyed going back there after a day of exploring to cook a meal and relax infront of the fire with a movie. Would definitely stay again!

Cottage was perfect for our 2 day stay, the kitchen was well kitted and we cooked a full Christmas dinner. The host has clearly been responsive to feedback reading the reviews, we found the cottage warm, cosy, quiet and couldn't of asked for anything more. The E.fire was great gave a lovely warm feeling with a cool remote and I particularly liked the attention to detail from fresh milk, merry Christmas biscuits and blankets.
The shower wasn't very powerful, but still able to have a decent shower and the temperature got hot. Power would only be an issue if you had really thick hair.

The garden (would have spent more time there if it were not for the rain) was lively and spent a nice evening relaxing there. Good wifi. Friendly cats and host. Nice layout of the cottage, soft towels in the bathroom were very welcome. Addition of small items such as tea, milk, biscuits and ice were a nice touch.
