Very beautiful place for watching sunset and a great view on the bay.
The host is very nice and tries to help with any Issues (you need to either know Spanish or use a translator app).
Fancy hardwood and glass furniture throughout the property (pretty cool Viking style dinning table, etc)
No good beach facilities (no clean water access, with some broken glass visible, no shower near beach, beach furniture is not in a good condition).
Hotel/property is only partially operational (there are not operational bar and cafe). Be prepared to eat out or bring your food for breakfast.
Infinity pool is not fully filled (because the lower level pool is empty), hence the pool looks like a regular one, although with a great view.
There were tiny ants around the property (including the bedroom). They were easily deterred with a bug repellent.
Windows did not have a mesh in the bathroom, allowing mosquitoes to enter and bite.
A road to reach the property is a bit rough, but manageable.
Credit card reader was not working and I had to drive to the closest ATM (6 min) to get cash.
Considering the renovations are underway, hopefully these minor things will be fixed soon!

The host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Probably the best host we had in our lives!
Always with a smile. He offered us rides to the town multiple times because we came without a car.
The house is very beautiful with unique furniture pieces and vibe.
The breakfast is big with quite a variety.
Amazing place!! Paradise on earth.
Too hot, too many mosquitoes, rocky entrance to the water on the beach.
Therefore take the room 1 with AC, bring repellents, go for a swim to a neighbour beach.

Loved the place. We stayed at room #1, it was big, and with a private balcony and terrace. The Scenery was beautiful, and the pool a delight. It is a boutique hotel, with few rooms. Everything handcrafted. We felt at home. There is a shared kitchen and lot of shared spaces, indoors and outdoors. The hosts were kind and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay, and didn't want to leave the hotel. Cancelled other planned activities and just stayed there. There is a cave just a few meters from the property that is amazing, and there are several small and deserted beaches in the area.
Las Galeras is on the extreme of the peninsula. If you want to do some things on Samana you need to drive around through narrow motorcicle-filled roads.

We loved our stay in this beautiful villa, the host David is very friendly and the view just amazing. You can see the passion that went into this place, absolutely unique, felt reminded to the Dali house. Make sure to ask to see the grotto!Thank you for the free room upgrade, we will for sure be back and can't wait to see how big the little puppy Django turns about to be.

The location is gorgeous with direct access to a little beach with palm trees below. It is not suitable for swimming but a great relax spot but also just satisfying as a view. There are 7 hidden beaches where you can walk directly from the house and do a little excursion. La Playita is a very short drive away, could probably walk as well, and other world class beaches (Fronton, Rincon) can be reached from Las Galeras by boat, the hosts can help to organize. The property is very unique with many different common spaces where you can chill. The decor is nothing like I`ve seen before, handcrafted wood everywhere, makes it really special, all done by the owner who keeps working on it continuously. There are pools with the gorgeous view, but my fav was the outside fireplace where we grilled at night our freshly bought fish. The hosts joined us, they are fun. The breakfast was at additional charge but a huge portion of eggs with bread, fresh fruits, fresh smoothie and coffee, excellent. As the name suggests, you can see the sunset all year long going down behind the hills of Cabo Cabron. Overall, one can really feel that the place is someone`s hobby and life, I can really recommend.
The rooms are fairly small and there is no aircon. But this is compensated with the other spaces you can hide at the property. Plus you should not be staying in your room when you have all that nature surrounding you.

Excellent views. The room was clean and extremely spacious. Thoughtful design and decoration all over the property. Beautiful pool with nice views, the beach was right below. Well equipped kitchen. Quiet neighborhood, perfect to relax. Staff was very nice and helpful at all times. We have stayed at many places in the DR and this one has been the best one so far. Would definitely recommend and return in a heartbeat.
Having to leave.
