Good location for hiking ¹
The only problem was the bacon at breakfast!

Large comfortable room. Good evening meal and then breakfast. Excellent location. Stayed here before and not disappointed on this visit.
A little more than what we would normally pay for a room and breakfast. Tatty broken benches outside spoil the general feel.

Very spacious apartment. Very clean. Comfortable beds and excellent food.

The apartment was lovely, beautiful view and well equipped kitchen although we didn’t need it as the food in the pub was excellent.

The property is really clean
The staffs are really nice as well
Feel really comfortable to live here
A good place to do star watching at night
Not much to be honest
The location is probably my not too convenient, so you need a car to drive here

Lovely village and local walks. Great breakfast
In room tea and coffee facility

Location good. Room clean. For £115 I would expect the option of a cooked breakfast. Cold ham is not a great start to the day. Not even a boiled egg available.
Bar prices steep. No cooked breakfast available.

the surrounding area
when I booked it said it was closed on Monday but no mention that it was also closed on Tuesday. if we had known we wouldn’t have stayed here. the menu wasn’t very varied but because it was closed they gave a recommendation of the Barrel inn 5 minutes away- thanks as this pub served fantastic food and we dined here on both nights

Great traditional pub in a rural location in a pretty village. Room was big, with a comfy bed, nice bathroom and was really warm
It was spotlessly clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful
We only booked for one night but my significant other half said she wanted to stay another night - it was that nice !
I booked us in the restaurant for our evening meal and the food was excellent, everything tasted so good and was near to perfect as you could get, it really was that good !
Couple of things - no cooked breakfast options, just cereal, toast and other choices such as fruit and yoghurt etc. In my opinion they should do at least eggs to go with the toast or maybe a bacon or sausage bap (veggie option too lol)
The bed in the room(no3) had posts and the tv was placed in line with one of these, so restricted the view a little from the bed - now I know people will say you're in the Peak District what are you watching tv for in your room etc. but it was -5 outside and we didn't want to sit in the pub all night (on this occasion). It didn't spoil anything and is just a comment on something that could be considered by the owners to remedy lol

Cosy friendly pub with log fire and great pub food,Rooms were spacious and comfortable. The staff were all lovely.
A cooked breakfast would have made it perfect

Well located for the purpose of our trip - wedding at Eyam Hall. Nice bar, good range of drinks and menu (quite pricey - big city prices!) Very friendly staff, comfortable well decorated rooms.
Would have liked a cooked breakfast rather than limited continental breakfast choice only, but what we had was nice.
4.4
Location very peaceful and pretty
Staff very professional but still friendly and made it feel relaxed and homely
The wardrobe door was very creaky!

We loved our room. It was spotless and beautifully decorated with a comfortable bed and lovely pillows. Provision of bathrobes was a nice surprise and the decor and furniture suited the olde world atmosphere of the building. We loved the peace and quiet of the village too. We had dinner in the restaurant on the first evening which was very tasty with good portions and reasonably priced
The only downside was the breakfast. I was disappointed to find that only cold food was available and as I don't eat breakfast cereal and was not keen on a continental meat platter, the choice was very limited. Even if a cooked breakfast wasn't possible, a boiled egg would have been good or a bowl of porridge, great.

Beautiful building with lots of history and character but exceptionally clean.
Excellent location. faultless!
They could not do enough for us.

Nice clean spacious room, great location, friendly staff.
The bedding was a little rough as it was bobbly
